UPDATE- Your response is completely false. I did not treat any member of your staff in a rude, racist, abusive, political, or otherwise inappropriate manner. I never made any political statement, racial comment, insult, or personal attack. Nor would I ever. I did absolutely nothing that could justify the accusations you have now publicly made about me. Your response appears to be an attempt to discredit me and put me on the defensive, rather than address the misconduct, or the harm, which is consistent with your previous unethical mistreatment of us. I came to your clinic as a new client seeking only routine care for my dog: preventatives and a fecal exam. From the moment Dr. Mohamed entered the room, she was abrupt, hostile, and repeatedly stated that she "did not understand" why I was there, despite my calmly explaining multiple times exactly what I needed. Then, without warning, without first trying to make my dog comfortable, and without any introduction to my dog whatsoever, Dr. Mohamed forcefully inserted the otoscope into my dog's ear hard enough that my dog yelped loudly in pain. I had never heard my dog cry out like that before. We had been to other vets before who checked her ears using this tool, without any issue. I witnessed how unfriendly and roughly she treated my very sweet submissive dog. What shocked me most was that Dr. Mohamed did not react at all. She did not stop, apologize, acknowledge my dog's pain, or show any concern whatsoever. Again, as my previous review which you replied to stated- to this day my pup will no longer let a vet touch her ears. Dr. Mohamed's handling of my dog fell far below an acceptable standard of care, and directly caused lasting trauma. Your response to hearing this report is once again shockingly unconcerned, and dismissive. No vet should ever roughly handle and harm a dog because they are for whatever reason bothered by the human. That behavior is entirely unethical and unacceptable. Again, as stated previously to which you responded- we have no idea what prompted this behavior on her part and that is really the most baffling component here. Because we are friendly, reasonable and professional people. I work in customer service. I was excited to meet what I thought would be our new vet! I was polite and respectful from the jump. NOTHING in my behavior was even remotely close to what you describe, even AFTER she harmed my baby. I did not yell or get aggressive. I simply asked immediately to end the interaction and speak to the manager. My only possible guess was that my shirt had an American Flag on it, and this was some kind of politically motivated retaliation. I cannot confirm this, but have no other explanation for what was seemingly a very personal attack from a total stranger. Again, I immediately told Dr. Mohamed in a calm manner that I was ending the appointment and requested to speak with the clinic manager. At that point, Dr. Mohamed abruptly changed her tone, apologized, and asked if I wanted to continue with the appointment after all. I declined and again requested to speak with a manager. Dr. Mohamed then left the room. I remained there for more than twenty minutes waiting to speak with someone. No one came. No one checked on me. No one asked what had happened. After waiting, I finally went to the front desk myself, at which point I was told to leave without ever being given the opportunity to explain my side of the situation. I was left in tears. The only person who showed any kindness or professionalism was a member of your front desk staff, who came to me in the parking lot w/ tissues and apologized. Her practiced manner in this strongly suggested that this type of incident is not unusual there. You have now publicly accused me of being "abrasive, rude, racist, and abusive." Those statements are false. I unequivocally deny them. I will not allow false accusations to be used to deflect from what occurred. I will not accept being falsely maligned in order to protect your staff from criticism. I stand fully by my account of what occurred. I did absolutely ZERO to deserve the way Dr Mohamed treated me or my dog. In fact, there exists no possible justification for the rough way she was handled, nor the lasting pain Dr Mohamed's misconduct caused. Both of these are points which you have, yet again, completely neglected to address. I further object to your implication that, because I posted this review years later, my experience is somehow less valid. It took me years to feel removed enough to seek any justice here. As clinic manager it's your duty to ensure correct conduct by staff. You never even gave me an audience, and conducted no investigation. You neglected your duties, and as a result have not obtained the truth. I am formally demanding that you retract the false statements you made about my conduct within 14 days. In the land of small animals we had as pets when I was growing up, the cats and dogs came here to Woodhaven Veterinary Clinic for their check-ups, vaccinations, and other medical treatments, including things such as teeth cleanings. The cats, if not excited, would hiss and meow on the car ride to the office. The dogs would tremble all the way, trying to crawl up onto the car seats. Once to the parking lot, they might refuse to get out of the car and/or try and pull out of their collar as we made our way to the entrance. Once inside, there was a front desk where we checked in for the appointment and then went to one of two waiting areas (one for cats and one for dogs) for whichever pet we were bringing in. Being called back, if it was a weigh-in day the pet would go on the scale, have its weight taken, and then we would make our way to the exam room. The interior of the rooms were a good size for our smaller animals and were equipped with chairs, which was nice if the veterinarian was not immediately in. Summarizing our experiences here for the over ten years we came here, the workers were on the whole friendly and clear in their communication. Sometimes there could be a little bit of a wait after checking in or in the exam room, but it was not too frequent. One of the aspects we enjoyed was separate doors for entering and exiting the building, less chances for different pets to get into it with each other. read more

We've just switched to Woodhaven for the care of our two pups and our initial intro appointment yesterday was stellar! Everyone at Woodhaven was friendly and accommodating and so welcoming. Dr Weeks took a good long time with both of our pups getting to know them and thoroughly examining them, as well as spending the time it took to put my mind at ease about an upcoming procedure. And Ryan, the vet tech, was equally wonderful. We feel very lucky to have our doggos now in their care! read more

Woodhaven has given my pup Ace the best care by far over any other clinic. My pup had some health issues in his first few months, and they were always willing to help and see him on the same day. I discovered them because my pup had an incident requiring immediate care - I barged into their office very distressed and they took him back for an exam, no questions asked, and were very good at deescalating the situation. They have answered so many of my questions over the phone over the years and follow up consistently to see how Ace is doing. The staff remembers us whenever we walk in and you genuinely feel like they care. They are the best and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get pet care! read more

This place is simply amazing... I am disabled and had been noticing my senior dogs health declining severely over a few days I made a post asking for help because I didn't have ALOT of money but needed to get him seen as soon as possible.. Christie got in contact with me and my boy was in getting seen an hour later... they put my boys health as a number one priority knowing something was going on and didn't pressure me for any kinds of payments or anything they immediately did blood work which I was already worried about being able to pay for being it had been about 800 for it to be done somewhere else this place did it for free just to help my baby boy and it came to be that he had kidney failure extremely severely... my boy was and still is the best thing that ever happened to me in my life and they made sure there was no question and left no stone un turned when making sure he didn't have a preventable or treatable sickie.. I needed that night with my boy so they even went further and gave him pain medicine and nausea medicine so he was able to have a last mean with me at home that night... they let me borrow the stretcher he was on because i didn't want to move him a lot... he was about 100 lbs.. and we brought him back the next day they brought him into a quiet secluded room where we were able to be there with him with my service dog and they were so gentle and never did I feel rushed or that it wasn't time.. there was no loud barking or noises to frighten my boy and we were able to spend our last moments together I couldn't have asked for better people to be a part of helping my boy the most important thing in my life he was 13.5 year old Rottweiler and they treated him like royalty and helped me beyond measure with paying for it I couldn't have provided the level of comfort they gave him being disabled like j am... so glad these people were the ones to hold my boys paw through all of this and let me take him home that night with the stretcher... read more

A huge, warm THANK YOU to the wonderful, caring staff at Woodhaven! My dog had to go to the emergency clinic over the weekend for a severe urinary infection and was also diagnosed with bladder stones. She was sent home with several medications and we struggled to get her to take any of them. During all this, I came to learn that her vet had left the clinic where she had been going for years, and unhappy with the current state of things there, realized I needed to find a new place for her care asap. After doing some online research, I called Woodhaven and spoke to Nelda. She was beyond amazing, so kind and gracious! She thoroughly listened and immediately understood our needs and sprang to action. She got us a next day appointment and I was extremely pleased with the visit. Dr. Weeks and her assistant where kind, gentle, understanding and thorough. They took the time to get to know Mia, reviewed her medical information, and addressed all my concerns with sound advice and excellent treatment. I've had pets for 20+ years and never felt more welcomed and cared for. This clinic has been so kind and compassionate with me and my dog. At appointments the Doctors and Staff take the time to actually look you in the eye when communicating, instead of making you feel rushed and staring at a computer screen. I have been bringing my cats here since I moved north in 06. I actually lived fairly near this place in my last house, too, and all my old neighbors all seemed to come here. With the address change five years ago came a new need for vet care, so I made the switch. I prefer independent clinics, and Woodhaven definitely qualifies. They're rebuilding their physical plant starting this year, so I won't say too much about the existing building. The doc this morning characterized it as "falling down around us," but I actually really like its structure and layout, though I can't comment on its longevity. The lobby is bifurcated into waiting areas for dogs and cats; there are natural paths around the reception area that give everybody and their dog plenty of room to maneuver, while still allowing all the staff to get all their chores done. I feel safe in predicting this will continue in the new building whenever it's done--the contractors have assured the staff of a 6-month turnaround, but if we have another wet winter delays can be expected. Best of all, and always more important at any clinic, are the staff. The receptionists are experienced and don't seem prone to turnover--I think I have seen the same faces on nearly every visit. The techs seem similarly stably and ably staffed, and they're always friendly and outgoing. They do a great job getting the boys to sit still for weigh-ins and preliminary exams. I've always been particularly impressed with Dr Willard, who has seen the boys just about every time. She is genuinely enthusiastic about cats, and constantly quotes recent research and generally indicates long-standing expertise in cat care. I'm obviously not a vet, but she seems like she knows as much about feline veterinary medicine as there is to know. Dr Willard even remembers stuff I have told her about the cats that never got written down in any chart. Given that she has 10+ appointments a day and sees me only once a year, I seriously have no idea how she does this. The prices seem in line with what other places charge. Unlike the reps that some corporate chain clinics have acquired--deservedly or not--I've not once had the sense that Woodhaven overprescribed diagnosis or care in the name of increasing the bill. If anything, they have always recommended finding the cheapest place to buy meds and treatments, and always recommended the least stressful (i.e., fewest procedures) way to care for the boys. I have to drive by two other clinics to get to Woodhaven, and I don't like stressing out a cat with a long truck ride for no reason. But in this case I am happy to do it because I think it gets them the most competent care. read more

My dog has been a patient since 2015, I've moved to Bellevue, then Bothell, and never once considered switching vets! They are there for my dog whether it's a wellness check or some other issue. They always call back, never leave us hanging, and handled the pandemic in the safest way possible. I'm so grateful a friend recommended them when I was new to the PNW. I've been taking my cats to Woodhaven for two years and love them! One of my cats can be a bit difficult, but they handle her really well and she never seems as stressed as I think she will be. We've seen 3 of the vets there over the years and everyone has been great. Recently one of my cats was vomiting and I didn't know which. I appreciated that they didn't suggest a bunch of tests right away, instead helping me to know what to look for should one of them really get sick and giving me an estimate in case I did have to pursue more treatment later. I found everyone at Woodhaven to be very compassionate. I had a kitty with crf (chronic renal failure) and they were awesome about explaining dietary changes and treatment options that were the best for my little cat dude without draining my bank account, but prolonged his life and let lil Tuck continue to enjoy being a cat. When he was no longer thriving, they were very understanding, sweet and helpful with dealing with my puddle of emotions as it became obvious it was time to say goodbye. They allowed us to enter/exit discreetly with my tears as I couldn't face another person and the paw print is still a very treasured gift! This was the perfect veterinary clinic for our furry daughter (rescue doggie). Following a house move, it was a challenge to find a practitioner that we could trust with the health care of our elderly and anxiety-ridden Sheltie-mix. However, I am pleased to say that my experience with this clinic goes beyond what I'd expected, despite previously reading through the multitude of positive online reviews. All the veterinarians, techs, and staff we have dealt with at WVC possessed a genuine caring spirit, and enthusiastically took the time to ensure the comfort of our doggie, as well as us humans as concerned pet parents. Practitioners demonstrated a thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and psychology, as well as applicable treatment options, and where more complex specialist therapies were needed, offered appropriate referrals. At age 16, dementia eventually took a hold of our precious little girl (in addition to a few other age-related ailments), but the important thing is that veterinarians at this clinic recognized the insidious and relentless affects of this mental condition. Our darling dog was still generally physically agile, which made it particularly difficult for us to come to terms with the fact that she was suffering emotionally. We are immensely thankful for the support we received from WVC relating to our decision to end her suffering, and for the way they handled this whole traumatic event. Love this place and our vet - Dr. Weeks. She has been helping us with our very old golden retriever who had some complicated health issues and our new golden retriever puppy. I appreciate that when she didn't know the answer to our old dog's health issues, she sought out specialists and other vets to get other opinions. WOW! Just adopted a wonderful, new dog. Brought her to Woodhaven based on all the positive reviews and I am so glad I did! My boyfriend took her to the visit. He said they were extremely informative and very pleasant to work with. Answered all his questions and even thought of a few things to tell him! They really understood and appreciated that she's our first dog and brand new to us. While I was happy to hear this, I missed the visit. However, less than 24 hours after the visit, the vet's tech called me to make sure I didn't have any other questions (since I'd missed the visit) and to give me their quick summary of the visit! Very pleasant, spent some time with me on the phone. I AM IMPRESSED. I'm also surprised at how affordable it is! $51 for a check up, $10 for a nail trim and $30 for a stool examination for parasites. Gave us some great ideas for flea/worm medications that also seemed pretty affordable. Very happy I listened to the other Yelp-ers. read more

Took my beagle there and they were amazing! Took great care of him and were so informative and thorough with the entire exam. Not to mention that it was the first vet I've taken him to where he was trying to bolt out the door. I had to take him back in fear that he had contracted kennel cough after I had been out of town and had him boarded at another place for the weekend. Woodhaven was so concerned with him that they took him in immediately and ran a few extra tests and did not even charge me for a few of them that came up negative as they did them as part of their own curiosity and concern. I love this clinic! Wait times are short, the vets are friendly, caring, and trustworthy and prices reasonable. I especially like that the vets will explore low-cost, conservative approaches to your pets health care rather than running up $100s of bills to diagnose what could have been a simple solution. Mostly I've been lucky to see the vet team for routine visits, but I have taken two of my four pets in for issues that they helped resolve. Even better is that they will spend the time with you to make sure you understand the solutions and come out with better knowledge to take care of your pets. What a great vet clinic! Having relocated from Hawaii last fall, I didn't know where to turn when it came to finding Sammie a new doc. So.. Yelp it was! After scrolling through great reviews and checking out a very informative and welcoming website, I decided to try it out. The space is clean, well-ventilated, and beautiful. They have a number of services they offer, as stated on their site. The staff are kind, courteous, and professional. Our vet is knowledgeable and great. They didn't blink an eye when I said Sammie hated doctors- and other dogs. Just reassured me that they'll do their best to win them over. (Still working on it...) They did suggest Sammie lose a couple of pounds (which is a sad, if legit truth), but didn't do any fat-shaming or owner-shaming. Sammie's just a little... "fluffy"... right now... Sammie still might hate the vet, but at least we're in a really pretty and friendly place while she's hatin'. read more

MOST CARING VET CLINIC EVER!!! The place looks pretty ritzy since it had a makeover but make no mistake, the staff are warm and friendly to all who walk through their doors. Ive had to call with medication questions or make last minute appointments, and the staff went above and beyond to help accommodate my questions/requests (even though many times they were about to close in 5 minutes). We rescued a 7 year old female Doberman who had typical old lady dog problems. She was bred many times and never given any maintenance meds to keep her hips healthy. Over the past few years Ava had seen a handful of the Vet's at this clinic, for various issues, and every one of them showed genuine care and concern for her. I really liked this vet clinic but it was not until our Ava started having major breathing problems that I found out just how wonderful this clinic is. After a work-up and some x-rays we found out that our girl was suffering from classic Doberman heart valve problems. Dr. Allen never let me give up hope that, while CHF is progressive, there are options for treating her heart problems and maintaining her quality of life. We brought Ava in around 7-10 times in those next months for more x-rays, evaluations and Rx updates and Dr. Allen was absolutely steadfast in finding every way possible to help our Ava. Ava's heart was much better but she later developed ascites due to the stress all of the meds were putting on her liver and kidneys. Dr. Allen gave us the option of relieving some of her stress by draining the fluid but let us know that it was only a temporary fix. We enjoyed a few amazing days with our girl before the fluid came back worse than before, prompting us to make the most difficult decision of our lives. I called Dr. Allen to let her know that it was time, as Ava was no longer able to stand, and she was audibly holding back tears for the remainder of our phone conversation. She sadly gave me all of our options and even found contact info for vets that make home euthanasia visits. We had our girl put to sleep, quietly at home, by a local vet who specializes in end-of-life care and situations like ours. I chose to have her ashes sent to Woodhaven to be picked up so I could collect them from a place that felt comforting for me. In the weeks since, I have received the sweetest cards (hand-signed) from Dr. Allen and all the staff at Woodhaven.They even made a charitable donation in Ava's name toward research benefiting animals. I cannot express how much this clinic has touched my heart with the amount of caring they have shown my family. They go the extra mile every time and truly care for their fur-patients and fur-families. read more

Her demeanor and knowledge immediately make you feel at home and let you know that you are welcome to ask any questions about your animals. She is fantastic with my two cats! The Vet Hospital was recently remodeled and the facility is gorgeous. Even though I now live in the north end of Seattle, I will still be making the trip out to Edmonds (the south end of Edmonds) in order to continue going here and in particular to continue seeing Dr. Creason. Our Dogs vet for 2 years now (since we got him as a pup) and we still love them. Very nice looking building inside and out, the staff are quite friendly and genuinely excited to see our boy whenever he comes in, and we LOVE his Veterinarian. Her name is Dr. Endicott and she adores Gouda (our boy) as much as Gouda adores her. She always runs to him and gives him loves, which I have honestly never seen another vet do and it warms my little heart. :) I highly recommend them for your furbaby. I LOVE this vet. I take both of my cats to see Dr. Emory, and she is amazing. One of my cats was feral, and hides from everyone, but the vet tech and Dr. Emrry were both so patient and gave my kitty time to get comfortable. They also don't push vaccinations or any extras just to make a quick buck (like I've found with a lot of vets). They gave me all the information that I need so I could assess pros and cons, and then left any optional decisions up to me. I love how respectful they are of me as a pet parent. They even gave me a call next day to make sure she was doing ok after her shots and to see if I had any additional questions that I may have forgotten to ask during the visit.
