This is the worst vet place I have ever been to, They charged me over $800.00 and my cat is still sick and they won't do shit !

The doctors here drag their feet on EVERY prescription, ending in late prescriptions and missing pills. I have to call and and nag them to get them to do their job, and even then they won't do it in time. read more

I would give -10 stars if I could. I cannot stress this enough, but please do not come to this vet, my experience with my animal and overall customer experience was horrible and I hope no one else has to go through this as well. I brought my dog here for a teeth checkup and a teeth cleaning, but Dr. Sharon suggested that we extract her teeth because it had gingivitis and it needed to be extracted. We had agreed to do this procedure, but on the paper they provided for the list of extra things they would do and small details they put "nail trim" which was included in the service while he was under anesthesia. This was something that the vet hadn't specified or talked to us about until we had gotten him back and noticed that they had cut his nails to the point where it was way past his nerve. I honestly could not believe they did this, especially as a vet, they cut to I would say almost the root of his nail. Everyone knows that you're not supposed to cut the nail past the white but this was just beyond careless and unthoughtful, and my dog had to go through weeks of pain because of this horrible situation. After addressing this to the vet, and sending pictures of his nails and talking to them about why they would do this and who did this, all they could focus on and care about was their own business and defending themselves. No actual acknowledgment for the well-being of my animal and their customers, it's as if we didn't even matter or our animals health and well being didn't matter. After his procedure, they specified that they would reach out in two weeks to confirm a specific date for a two week check-up, but even after two weeks and the complaint about what had happened to my dog under anesthesia they never reached out or even bother to ask about how he was doing. This veterinary hospital doesn't care about their actual customers or their animals. They just care about their business and getting money and it's just on comprehendible. They need to shut down. read more

Use extreme caution if taking your animal to this veterinary clinic , I took my dog there and doctor jeremy rube with out permission , without any other standard recommended tests that are required to be done first, performed ( a fine needle aspiration) of a splenic tumor on my dog who he had never seen , spent 3 minutes examining had explicitly been told not to do any thing other then an ultra sound, he had been liscensed 3 days. A medical condition of Splenic tumor is serious and requires a specialist and surgon . Every creditable source i searched ALL report that a fine needle aspiration should never be done on a splenic tumor it is extremly dangerous not reccommended and not standard due to high risk of ruptrue, hemorrhage and sudden death. My dog was laid to rest within hours of leaving the clinic. Beceause guess what? The medical books were correct , that is exactly what happened. He ruptured her Tumor, she hemorrhaged, ill stop there its to painful. Don't go anywhere that takes your dog on the back, stay with your animal and do your research. read more

I am so grateful for Dr. Durst and her team. We took our dog, River, to SVH to get neutered. He is usually extremely confident and friendly - but so nervous at the vet. For both appointments, Dr. Durst and the team were patient with and kind to River, and even sat on the floor to make him more comfortable. He got excellent medical care and tons of treats. The administrators are organized and were gracious when River soiled the entire lobby. We had such a positive experience here. read more

I would give no star if I could. I took my schnauzer to Dr Sharon for seizures in December. I knew he had bad teeth and they were getting worse. He was 12 almost 13. So another $250 she tells us they need pulling. I'm skeptical because of his age but she said his labs were good and he could live another 2-4 years, so we proceeded for $2400. For the past 2 weeks we treated him with the medication prescribed but he seemed like he was getting sicker and sicker. I called Tuesday and they offered a drop off spot. But he was too sick. I called yesterday but she was not in office. He past away last night and I'm so mad at them and myself for putting him through this. But the corker is when Dr Sharon finally contacted me this morning, she yelled at me for interrupting a procedure she was doing. I just lost my beloved pet and she yelled at me and said I was negligent for not keeping my spot Tuesday and he had neurological problems to begin with. Then why did she recommend pulling teeth. No empathy and a money grabbing clinic. Never will she another pet of mine. I feel like taking her to small claims court. read more

Our Bengal 1 year old has a broken distal humorous. Our vet lacked the specialization to handle this. We called Veterinary Specialty Center and they gave us a list to refer us to. The first on the list, Shoreline Veterinary Hospital. We called and despite being incredibly busy, at 9pm the Veterinarian called me back! She walked me through a plan, and asked me to arrive at 9:15 the next morning. She gave me an estimate to sign for the same very reasonable price as she stated on the phone. We dropped her off. The team was amazing, from the first moment we called, and all this while they were already working 200%! Every conversation was kind, respectful, and detailed. The Veterinaian called and updated me, and provided a pickup time. We arrived, paid her very reasonable bill which was less than the estimate, and the Veterinarian came in and explained everything. They booked us a followup, and provided care instructions. Long story short, this is Fantastic Veterinarian and a fantastic staff. Everything was perfect! We highly recommend this team to pet owners in the Northwest! read more

So happy Shoreline Vet has opened up in this area. After years of one of my dogs suffering from extreme itchiness the doctors were able to come up with a plan that cost less and worked much better than the previous plan that other vets had us on which had been just using one really expensive pill that didn't really work all the time. We had tried tons of different things in the past years like super expensive food, home made food, pills, washes, etc. At our first visit I went over everything we've done in the past and the doctor came up with multiple game plans which the first one worked perfectly - the doctor listened and gave me insight above and beyond my expectation. So here's the thing. The vet I've seen here has always been good and the staff is friendly. However, when I brought my cat in here 4 months ago for weightloss, he was put on a standard thyroid medication. I probably called them 4 times over the course of a week because he fell gravely ill to the point that I fully assumed he was about to die (which he was). It wasn't until a week and half in that they finally suggested taking him off the meds and to do a follow up the following week. He immediately improved some, but was still ill enough to need to go to a blue peal specialist. The vet knew this immediately on seeing him again and I just have to assume, that had my concerns not been dismissed repeatedly, it wouldn't have gotten as bad as it did. I ended up dropping $10,000 on my cat at blue pearl because of his condition. I don't blame Shoreline for giving him the medication that pushed his kidneys to fail. But again, had my concerns been taken seriously, we could of avoided how bad it got. Initially I wanted to write this review because of an entirely different issue, but I realized how important and detrimental that situation was. My cat is is his final days, but comfortable and happy, but had I not had the 10K to drop on every kind of test and a blood transfusion, that would not be the case. He would of died from the side effects of the initial medication. The other issue I had, was that on that first visit, they trimmed his nails so short, that now 4 months later, they still haven't resharpened. They did this without consulting me first. What that did was force me to put my mattress on the ground because my cat no longer had the ability to grip anything. Additionally, it changed his ability to use his already disabled body even further in the last months of his life. I understand trimming a cats nails for safety, but to do this without consent from the owner is unacceptable. He's also not an aggressive cat when handled and any vets office comes with protective gloves if that is the case. This should of never happened and was completely unnecasary. Again, I've never had an issue with stuff being rude or anything like that. I trust my vet did everything they could to help my cat. But if a client is calling you petrified of what's happening, take that seriously, don't brush it off multiple times because it's unusual. And don't just disable an animal without getting consent from their owner first. read more

I cannot express how much I have appreciated the whole entire staff at Shoreline Vet Hospital over the last year. I have brought my dog in multiple times for checkups, vaccines, nail trims and recently a dental cleaning/extractions and every time I have been blown away by their service. Although I have only been there about 6 times over the last year, I have probably called and annoyed them with questions 10 other times. My dog is fearful and they know exactly how to take care of him and give him space when needed. Every time I am there I get the sense that literally each and every one of their staff members cares about my dog, his health, and ways to help him. The doctors are never in a rush to get you out the door and always stay back to talk to you and make sure you understand everything before you go. I never take the time to leave reviews but I feel it's my obligation to do so in this case. We came to Shoreline Vet in May 2021 for our puppy's initial checkup and we went with Dr. Sharon. Initially everything was fine and we were happy with Dr. Sharon. However, after the second follow up visit, she informed us that she heard what she thought was a murmur in our puppy's heart. Alarmed, since we had been doing everything we thought was correct since we got her (and following Dr. Sharon's advice on what to do to care for our puppy), we scheduled a follow up visit. Dr. Sharon confirmed that she definitely heard a murmur and after asking us what our puppy's diet was (which she knew full well what it was because she approved it on the first visit), she implied that having our Puppy on Blue Buffalo food might very well be the cause because the company was known to be investigated for cardiomyopathy-caused illnesses linked to some of their foods. Now thoroughly freaked out that we had inadvertently possibly caused our puppy's heart murmur, we instantly switched her to a pure Hills Science Diet kibble. Dr. Sharon offered no sympathy to us about the situation and in fact told me that she had just seen a patient last week who lost their cat over a similar situation. WTH?? What kind of vet says that when the owner in front of them is expressing alarm over their puppy's health? Then, we arrived at the point where we wanted to microchip our pet. We did tons of research and ended up getting a Fi smart collar for our puppy because we liked the features and price of it, and the company also makes a microchip that is free for vets to implant and is competitive with other chips on the market. Dr. Sharon said their office didn't carry the chip but when we told her that the company said they could ship her a sample chip for implantation for free, she begrudgingly told us that she'd do it because we requested it. Fast forward to implant day and I take our puppy in. Dr. Sharon comes in to do the implant and performs it, then hands me a barcode that she says is what I need to register the chip. I notice in the moment that the barcode says something different than expected for it being a Fi chip but I figure that there's no way she would have put the wrong chip in, because we specifically requested it and she had told us that the vet office had received it. I go home and try to register the chip and it doesn't work. I contact Fi and their support team helps me figure out that sure enough, the chip Dr. Sharon put in is not the one we requested. We contact Dr. Sharon about this and she admits that she didn't check the chip before implanting it but now that it's been performed, there's nothing that can be done. So, I ask her for our money back for the implantation cost, since she admits to messing up and putting in the wrong chip. She REFUSES to refund us our money! I have an E-mail from her admitting wrongdoing and she refuses to refund our money. Also, she satin offers zero empathy or sympathy for the situation. So that was the final straw. We immediately took our puppy over to Edmonds' Fifth Avenue Vet Hospital and have been incredibly happy ever since making the switch! Also, good news, our puppy's heart murmur disappeared over the following months. Not sure if the diet change did it or not, but I'll take what we can get. Also, beyond Dr. Sharon being incompetent and lack total empathy, the front desk lady was incredibly rude every time I had to communicate with her. I understand that she's now gone from the vet but Dr. Sharon remains. Simply put: DO NOT take your pet to this vet office. There are ones worlds better out there, and vets that more than competent in their jobs. read more

I needed an emergent visit for my 14 year old cat, and was having so much trouble finding an office that would take in new patients during covid, let alone squeeze us in for an appointment. Dr Peery was incredibly kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, answered all my many questions, and was able to provide treatment for my kitty to get her back on the road to recovery. Dr Wilson is amazing and her staff are so nice. My pup was nervous coming to the vet and they made her so comfortable. They gave her treats (asking me first of course) and lots of petting. Dr Wilson even sat on the floor with her to make her more relaxed. She gave us lots of options for how to help our pet out without being high pressure about selling us anything. We had to make a bit of an emergency appointment as one of our kitty cats had worms. Yuck. We were afraid our other cat had them too, so I tried getting an appointment with our usual vet and the wait was about four days away. I tried around to other vets and no joy with them either. I called Shoreline Vet Hospital and hurray they had an available appointment. They diagnosed our girl right away and gave both of them flea and worm medication. Even though the process was different due to COVID-19 (wait in your car, etc), the staff was pleasant and helpful and we will definitely be back. We have found our new vet! read more

As a brand new puppy parent, I wanted the best for my new baby. I did a lot of research on local vets and turned to my Yelp community for help. My 12 week old Rat Terrier puppy saw Dr. Wilson today. She is amazing. Due to COVID, they are doing curbside pickup but the staff was all kind, patient and I felt like my pup was in good hands. After the exam, Dr. Wilson spent a ton of time with me on the phone to explain the exam, vaccines and answered my long list of questions and concerns. She is genuinely kind and has a great sense of humor. She alleviated a lot of new puppy parent concerns and I never felt rushed. Felt like the prices were reasonable based on my research and they trimmed my pup's nails as a courtesy. Can't wait until they lift the COVID restrictions so I can attend the next visit in person! Plus she is extremely common sense oriented, yet willing to seek creative solutions when warranted. 2) The front desk staff and vet techs are really nice and polite, which makes for an overall pleasant visit, and you can tell they genuinely love animals. Extra points for being gentle when handling my kitty. 3) The prices are very reasonable and competitive. 4) Their onsite lab means that you can actually get results within a few minutes rather than waiting several days. This part is invaluable, especially when you are worried about your pet. 5) They have cat and dog specific rooms, which keeps fur babies less stressed. 6) Everyone listens and I do not feel like an assembly line number getting shuttled in and out as quickly as possible. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that I highly recommend Shoreline Veterinary Hospital without reservation. Before I found Shoreline Veterinary Hospital, I struggled over the past couple of years to find the right vet in the Edmonds area, and I had some very mixed and stressful experiences. The staff at Shoreline Vet Hospital are fantastic. We have a rescued 75 lb male AmStaff that we bring here for his medical care, and every single time he throws an absolute tantrum. He snaps at the vet, gets very defensive, and wont let anyone come near. The vet and techs are incredibly understanding and allow me to come in with him during Covid. They go above and beyond to try to make him comfortable, toss him treats, and show him that they aren't here to harm him. As the parent of an "aggressive breed" dog, its always heartwarming to see that someone understands he is acting out of fear and is in fact a totally normal, spoiled dog outside of the clinic. This was my first time here and the staff was wonderful. My dog suddenly had his neck and throat swell up like a hard cantaloupe. Not only that, it was dripping pus and he was lethargic and panting and burning up. My home vet wouldn't fit me in, and the next eight I called were also full or not accepting new clients. Most suggested the emergency vet, which I wanted to avoid if possible. One nice clinic suggested Shoreline vet. When I called them they actually listened and didn't suggest something stupid like the receptionist who asked if I'd tried vitamin c. They were also booked but let me come in anyway. I am so grateful, Dr. Wilson was great with my dog and she was able to diagnose him and drain some of his bump to give him some relief. The docs here couldn't figure out why my dog was itching. They did an expensive blood test and still couldn't figure out the itch. They misdiagnosed my pup causing paralysis to his hind legs. Poor guy couldn't even walk up the curb or stand up to potty. These guys are a waste of time and money. I wouldn't trust them with your family members. They almost killed mine. Turned out Poor guy just had seasonal allergies. A new vet was able to help my baby. read more

The best service at a vet by far. My experiences with vets have always been good, they surpass even that. This is a new practice with two amazing vets and staff. The hospital is sparkling. I met with Dr WILSON and she gave my daschund a good exam plus his vaccine. She suggested a tooth cleanser and I asked her about their practice. They are offering some specials since they are new. Exams for both cats and dogs are free for the rest of 2018 and the vaccines are very reasonable. I would highly recommend them. read more

Ten Cheers for Dr. Sharon Reighn-Peery! My mom's puppy Mimi had to go to an emergency hospital in another town due to vomiting and obvious dehydration!!! The on-call vet told my mom that her puppy was deathly ill - tested positive for Parvovirus - likely going to die. Mom was devastated! Mom did not want to leave the puppy at the hospital - they were ridiculously expensive (in the order of $8000)!! So she called me instead hoping I could take Mimi to another vet. I had seen Dr. Reighn open her new clinic in my neighborhood - so we took the puppy to see her on the off chance she could do something. (I think we were her first customer!!!) With the puppy's test results in hand and poor little puppy getting worse by the hour, we were greeted by Dr. Reighn who was very focused and so kind! She informed us with all honesty that if indeed it was Parvo then there was a low survival rate - but she was willing to try to save Mimi. Every hour was going to count - so treatment started immediately. MIMI WAS SAVED!!! Dr. Reighn is so humble! She let us know that maybe it was a false-positive test or maybe Mimi was a super strong puppy - it doesn't matter!!! Mom is convinced Dr. Reighn is a super hero! Mimi is doing so well and my Mom is over the moon happy. :-) THANK YOU DR. REIGHN! Mom feels so blessed to have found you. You are kind and soft mannered, but honest without the nonsense that usually gets dished out at vet clinics. I am recommending you to many parents of furry creatures!! read more
