Wow! Just wow! From check in to check out a wonderful experience. I got a massage and added the scalp massage add-on option. Warning: they use oil so you will want to go home and shower right after - but it's so worth it! I was on a business trip and had not slept well the 2 nights before and I swear from the moment Erin started my session I kept drifting off to sleep and snoring and waking myself up - it was heaven! Pressure was perfect! Facility was beautiful, neat and clean. Locker room was comfortable and had spacious individual bathrooms if you wanted to change in and out of your robe for privacy. Most odd experience I have ever had--and I get massages regularly. First issue: I specifically booked 2 massage therapists for a couple's massage after a phone convo with the receptionist, who said they were very experienced--one being the lead therapist. When they called to confirm, they said we were both with someone else entirely. I said that's not what we scheduled. They put me on hold and "fixed" it. Weird, but no problem. The experience started out promising because the place is very nice and luxurious. The time we spent in the private room sitting in robes and filling out paperwork was nice. We were led into the room 10 minutes after the scheduled start time--which was fine if they were going to still do the full time (they didn't). I ended up being glad it was cut short because of what happened. I have never in my life had a therapist (or any professional) enter a room without knocking and waiting for confirmation. But there's a first for everything, I guess. I was in the bed directly in front of the door, reaching for my phone to silence it when the therapists (male and female) opened the door and peeked in, asking if we were ready. The male and I made full eye contact--I was topless and exposed and completely shocked. I said anxiously, "Um, no we aren't," and they closed the door. I told my husband they usually knock--I had no idea why they didn't. They asked again through the door. I just said "yeah" because my heart was pounding and I was so baffled and uncomfortable. The massage was the worst I've ever had, which I'm actually glad for because I wouldn't have been able to enjoy a good one after what happened. Neither therapist read anything on our intake forms. My therapist talked the entire time about nonsense, smelled like cigarettes (I'm very sensitive to that so I held my breath when on my back), and asked me questions that were clearly answered on the form. For example, I noted I'm a hairstylist, and she asked if I'm on a computer all day. I don't want to be mean--they probably are nice people--but we weren't here for "nice," we were here for a luxury service. The massage itself was awful. No full back rub at all. I don't even know how to describe the lack of technique, but I've never felt so unsatisfied with a massage. I really needed one and still do. I have severe neck and shoulder pain and now have to wait weeks to get another massage since I used my time here. They cut the session at least 5 minutes short. When we were walking out, my therapist told me my job is going to kill me. I don't know why anyone would ever say that. The whole experience was just extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. I was extremely honest with the front desk about our dissatisfaction. She was very understanding and took it seriously. We didn't have to argue at all--which I appreciated because I honestly wanted to cry. She took care of the massages and offered us another set on the house, so we planned to try a different location. She said she'd call Monday--no one did. We called Tuesday and were told they could only comp the massages we received. We were shocked. After everything, we had no reason to return. There are plenty of other massage places. We were especially surprised given the location and the high-end clientele in the area. Customer service handled our complaints well in person, but offering something and then retracting it is in poor taste. We called again and complained, and they gave us credits for new massages--but it felt odd to have to ask for what was already promised. The spa itself is very relaxing, though I almost wish they had some sort of ceiling decor in the massage rooms? That's a personal preference though. My husband decided to treat me to a pedicure and booked me an appointment at Woodhouse. I usually don't like to get pedis done, maybe got it once or twice done before. My feet were fine, I take good care of them at home. Don't really have any problems. However, right after my pedicure I got a really bad infection on my toe. Never really had anything like this, and it's been couple days already and it's not getting better. I was debating on including a picture but is so gross so better not. Really thought that at a nice spa I wouldn't get something like that, but I guess not. The pedicure wasn't cheap, now have to spend more on dermatologist just wouldn't recommend it if you don't want an infection. Also to add, the pedicure wasn't anything special, my toenails were very uneven. Just not a very good job. Very disappointed, definitely won't be back for a pedicure. read more

My husband did his research and setup a date for us to get massages together, mine being the maternity massage as we recently found out we are expecting. Nowhere on their website does it say that this service is not available until after you are 12 weeks, nor were we ever contacted prior to verify how far along/if we should reschedule. Showed up for our appointment and after filling out everything and being placed in our room we were notified that after checking with the manager their policy was that I could not be seen that day since I was not yet past 12 weeks (we were also told it should be listed on the website - nowhere does it state this policy as we even verified before booking). Luckily we given a full refund and the option to reschedule, but the lack of communication and website not being up to date put a damper on what should have been a relaxing afternoon. read more

Let me first start with , I gave this place a chance twice! When I tell you this establishment is bad on customer service, I mean it is bad on customer service. BUT, I got the condescending, unkind tone of a woman - who turned out to be the manager( Lol) still scratching my head on that part..LOL. I immediately became annoyed- I was not kind to her in my reply she didnt deserve any understanding from me,. It was though she was taking pride and pleasure in being condescending and just short toned and irritating. I took a few more weeks and my husband keeps asking if I had booked it yet. 500.00 is a lot to almost kinda lose(I get it ) but this company the name of it just erked me. So, I did more work and found they are franchised . Again, I am an easy going person for the most part, No biggie I will just look at another location. But for some reason it aint on my list of priorities - smh. So, I am in a very good mood and I dont know if I really want to travel the distance when I have one so much more close. I said maybe it was a bad day, maybe I would get some one else that answers the phone. I try calling them again- I am chill and I get some one on the line and I just go into wanting to book - immediate the girl says we need a credit card on file to book. We will need your name, email. I say I have a gift card package, I then began to give her my name she interupts me and said we will still need a credit card on file before I can book. I said you don't want my name first ? she says yeah I mean I can take that information but I am just telling you I will need a credit card before booking . When I say I lost it I LOST IT HA HA HA.. I was like this place is the worst customer service ever for the type of service you are providing. (I said things that you'd say to your bully when you finally have had enough).. Like ugghh this spa needs sensory training in phone etiquette. I kept on with ., I tried to give yall another chance, I just think this location is a negative vibe..the energy is not good with my energy . I said there is no way I can call this relaxing place and be so tense in trying to spend money. Great experience. This place can be busy, but still relatively quiet. I was at most joined by only two other people when in the relaxation room before/between services. It's a nice quiet place to have a mimosa and wind down before a massage in the provided robe and sandals. My deep tissue massage was great. Dean was attentive to my tight spots, but the massage was still relaxing. Tina did a great job with my pedicure too. The pedicure chairs are all in one room, but they are individual free standing chairs with curtains between them so it feels private despite being a shared room. I enjoyed the Gentlemen's Pedicure including the cinnamon rub used during the massage portion of the pedicure. I'll definitely be back for these services and to try others. read more

This was my first time getting a massage, a facial and a manicure so I have no comparison but this place was really nice overall! It has a very modern, natural (wood) look. When they brought us in, they gave us these thick fluffy bathrobes and some slippers/slide type shoes to wear. They have a nice locker room with bathrooms and showers (with shower products etc) and a basket of hand towels to use after you wash your hands. There's a nice waiting room with lounge-y armchairs and reclined armchairs to relax in while you fill out your form and wait for them to call you in. There's also lemon/lime infused water and you can order drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic as well). I never thought I liked massages because I'm really sensitive to pain but the masseuse actually made it really comfortable for me and i have never felt so relaxed and pampered in my life. The facial was also really nice (but a little painful/stingy when they cleaned out my pores). My face felt so fresh and was glowing afterwards so it was very effective. Both the massage and facial rooms had a super comfortable and heated table/bed with a blanket so I was really cozy and relaxed the whole time. They also used towels soaked in hot water to wrap around my feet and then dry my feet off at the start of both the massage and facial which was great as well. The manicure was probably the least exciting part of my spa day. We just did normal nail polish French nails and it seemed like the nail people didn't want to do it (it was too difficult to do or something?). They started with cleaning our hands and nails and filing our nails, then soaking our hands in warm oil. Then they did our French nails. The person who did mine started with bottom coat, then a light pink/peach color, then did my tips with white. But she kept using a brush and alcohol to clean the edges of the white tips and it ended up taking off some of the pink. She went over my whole nail with the pink again, and then with the top coat. But the areas that had the first pink coat wiped off still looked lighter than the rest of the pink. It was a quick dry nail polish (5 minute dry) but after a couple days it started coming off for me. For some reason, there were areas on each nail that the nail polish had separated from my nail so there was a small pocket of air there and the ones that had separated from the sides of my nail, the nail polish started chipping off at those edges. Overall I had a good experience there though but I probably wouldn't get the manicure again unless I'm getting gel or acrylic nails or something else. read more

I had some issues booking online (the website kept resetting, telling me my chosen times were unavailable), so I had to call to book. And the front desk greeter sounded strangely condescending. I booked two 80-minute massages to take place the same time, one for me & one for my best friend, as a birthday gift for her. She went with the "body balance" massage, a take on a classic Swedish massage, while I went with the "deep tissue transformation" massage. We both left relaxed & happy! My deep-tissue massage from Penny was incredible. I've long lived with chronic pain since having back surgery as a child, & I carry all my stress in my back & shoulders. Penny was not afraid to work on me, as some providers have been, & she wasn't afraid to work HARD on me. She gave me one of the best & deepest massages of my life, digging in deep, using her elbows, & hitting all of my sorest spots. I left rejuvenated AND relaxed. I can't wait to book with her again! I also love the overall experience of being welcomed into this serene space, being offered water & a cocktail, earing a cozy robe... all of it. Went for the Woodhouse Escape and it was a whole experience. The hostess was very accommodating, she took me to the locker room we're I was presented with a locker and a robe. After I got dressed/undressed, I was served water as well as wine while I waited for my massage therapist (MT). When my MT came to escort me to our room she introduced herself and made a great effort to know and pronounce my name correctly. She described what she was going to perform on me and took action. Her technique, pressure and attention to my body were amazing and at the end she pronounced my name correctly again! My only regrets are that I can't come more often and I didn't get any pictures. This is my second time in 4 weeks at Woodhouse Spa. I'm very impressed with their friendly staff and stylish facility. The place is beautiful and provides a reprieve from the outside world. It is also important to note Corvid measures are well implemented making this a very safe environment. The beauty of this place would of course be not enough if it weren't for the top-notch services. I can now speak to massage, manicure, and pedicure. I receive regular pedicures and the Woodhouse pedicure was by far the best. My daughter had a gel manicure and was extremely pleased. My husband bought me a gift certificate for my anniversary and it was my first time there. My massage was wonderful! Nikki was amazing, she is super strong and relieve all the tension in my neck. My facial was good, I wouldn't say great for $110. I know it's probably difficult during this time with a face guard on to give a facial. Customer service and overall service has tanked significantly in the past 2 years. I come in 5-6 times a year for spa services. Every year for the past 6-8 years, I get gift cards for my assistants for the holidays. Usually spend in the $700 range for gift cards and probably $2500 on myself throughout the year. That level of holiday gift card spend has always netted me a gift with gift card purchase. I went for a pedicure around thanksgiving and that wasn't advertised, so I asked my nail tech as well as the front desk staff. They said that they were not aware of the gift this year but should be finding out any day now. I went back the first week of December to check and was told that it was a Black Friday only special this year. That was not communicated or advertised. I was annoyed, but went ahead and bought the cards. While I was there, I tried to book a waxing service and was told that is no longer a service offered. I have been getting waxing services intermittently at Woodhouse for 8-10 years. This was also not communicated or advertised. I have always have good services from the practitioners, but am so off put by the management and lack of communication in service/policy changes that I will be taking my business elsewhere. Sacred Hour had great holiday specials and are very communicative, always. Will be going there for all spa services going forward! read more

High quality services provided for massage and pedicure. **notes of caution** 1) Billing. When you book an appointment, your credit card will be charged 50% of the total cost of your service. Note: they are not just taking your CC information to hold the reservation. This even applies if you plan to use a gift card to pay. Given you may book appointments, weeks or months in advance, this is something to keep your eye on. I had a gift certificate to use for my services and asked on the day of my appointment that the credit card charges be reversed; they were not so I would have been charged 1.5x for my services had I not kept an eye on my account and called several days later and requested the credit again. The spa processed the credit at that time to resolve the issue. Just know the burden is on you as the client to ensure you are not paying more than you should for your services. 2) Reminder texts and emails won't remind you of this, but arrive 15 minutes prior to your service. Allows appropriate time for check-in, changing into robe, waiting in quiet room prior to service. They stay very strict to the schedule and won't go beyond the exact allotted time for your service if you begin late. read more

The therapists and spa experience is great but whoever is setting the prices needs to take a hard look and realize they are going to lose more and more clients. They've raised their prices twice in less than a year to the point they are just gouging people. Nearly $200 for an 80 minute massage! One therapist told me they haven't gotten an increase in their pay and people aren't tipping because it costs so much. My wife and I used to get a couples massage there once a month but we joined Massage Envy now. The massage is the same but more reasonably priced even if you don't join their membership! Two of our friends switched over too. We love our massages but not when we're having to pay $500 after tipping too! read more
