We paid a total of thirty dollars (fifteen each per hour) for two kayaks for an hour and fifteen minutes (the guy threw in the extra fifteen minutes, free). This is cheap. Other places charge twenty-five for a single kayak and thirty-five for a double. We paid cash (no credit cards accepted here), signed a form, and gave the man my license. Now where do I put my wallet, keys, and phone? Okay, phone and wallet hidden in car. But what about my keys? I decided to ask a guy who looked like he worked there. He said he'll hold on to them, but asked if I have a nice car ;). Ha-ha. The kayaking itself was great, but we had to watch out for bigger boats because their waves can flip us. At all. Right from the start they seemed annoyed that we showed up. I understand that working sucks- I get that, I really get that. I fucking hate my job, serious I do. But if you work at a restaurant where people come to laugh and relax and have a night out, I really think you at least should be pleasant. I have worked plenty service jobs where I hated being there, but for the sake of kindness and humanity I would treat customers like people with feelings. I wouldn't treat them like a burden or like I hated them. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I pray for the miserable souls that work here and emanate mean and unpleasant energy.
