I'm shocked at the previous reviews because this place was ! I took my 3yo here on a Sunday morning and it was an amazing bowling experience for both adults and kids. There seemed to be many food and drink options, and what was amazing was the arcade (appropriate for both younger and older children/humans). The people serving weren't super enthusiastic but they did their job well and were very informative. This is truly the kind of environment I see when I go bowling, and although can be pricey, worth the infinite amount fun you will get. read more

All these 1 star reviews are just complainers. Great place, good staff, I think the lanes were pretty decent from what i could remember.

Recommending that parents choose another venue to book children's birthday parties. We cancelled my daughter's birthday party approximately 7 weeks before the scheduled date due to the rapidly rising COVID rates. Unfortunately, management is refusing to refund my deposit despite such extenuating circumstances, and advance notice. Several attempts to resolve this matter in a respectful, professional manner were deflected to other employees or completely ignored. Phone calls were not returned, and follow up in a timely manner as promised. Refund policy is a complete money scam. Employees are intimidated by the owner. Seems like a very toxic work environment for the staff. We will bowl elsewhere! Zero stars if possible. read more

Total scam. Lanes are 4 people max. Came with with 5 friends and they tried to charge us $70 for the extra person with an additional lane to themselves. at 11:30pm the bowling alley was half empty and there was no reason why couldnt have five people to a lane, especially when we offered some one would sit out each round. Don't go unless you are prepared to pay a ridiculous amount for basic bowling. read more

We went there at 9:30pm. There was a punjabi guy, he told us to wait for an hour and we waited till 11:00pm actually. We sat literally in front to desk so we can tell him on time. But when we asked him. He told us that you should pay first for waiting. He didn't told us before and then told us to wait for another 45 minutes. We held our sons birthday party here and it was a disaster from start to finish. Our package included a "private party room", which actually turned out to be in the bar because they overbooked themselves for parties that day. Not private or suitable. (And I'm sure the bar patrons loved their space being overrun by 14 ten year olds). We finished bowling and were supposed to be served lunch at 2:00, instead were told that the pizza wasn't cooking properly and we would have to wait for them to order our four pizzas. Fine. Half hour delay trying to keep kids occupied in a bar. I asked for popcorn or something for the kids to snack on while we waited and were told it would be $4.50 per child. Finally, two pepperoni pizzas were delivered but the staff disappeared before I could ask where the other two meatless pizzas were. Twenty minutes later, cheese pizzas arrived but by this time, parents started arriving for pick up and we hadn't had cake yet. Most of them had to leave right away so there weren't many kids to sing Happy Birthday. We asked for a discount (the party was not inexpensive) but were told no. I reached out by phone and email and haven't heard anything back yet but I'm not hopeful. I was talking to another parent who held a party there last month, had the same experience as us, sent in a formal complaint, and never heard a word back. I understand things happen sometimes and every party can't be perfect but the complete lack of customer service from the Woodlawn Bowl staff is what really upsets me. read more

They're lucky they are a convenient place to bowl at in guelph, otherwise I wouldn't even go. We came late at night, about an hour before closing. The atmosphere is great except the alley malfunctioned 10+ times. Even when they tried to remedy the situation by moving us a lane over, it still had glitches. An hour of bowling became 40 minutes with the number of times we had to wait for the machine to get fixed. Given that we pay $50 for the hour it was definitely not worth the price. The reset button did nothing to help. The staff was polite when they were there but didn't exactly make the experience any better. They tried to clean up our stuff while we were still in the middle of playing. When we told them, at the end of the night, about the problems, one employee just stared at us like we were the problem. Overall, don't go unless you have absolutely NO other options. If you do, go on $1 game nights so at least you aren't wasting your money on waiting for tech support. read more

Bob (The Owner) refused to refund our money from a malufuntioning arcade game. This was after spending over two hundred dollars on bowling, food and drinks. The Owner of this bowling alley is cheap and has extremely poor customer service skills. If anything goes wrong during your visit don't expect to be composited for anything. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst emeny. read more

If I could rate zero stars I would. I had 3 lanes booked this Saturday night and throughout our games we had to call for lane assistance 10+ times. The lanes would keep shutting off. Again I would say this was an overall horrible experience. If you want to bowl don't do it in Guelph! read more

Absolutely terrible bowling alley. The machines always malfunction, dropping pins, or just turning themselves off completely. The lanes are either so oily your ball goes straight, or so dry a house ball hooks off the lane. Bob, the owner, is cheap and refuses to spend a cent on fixing the lanes, which haven't been regulation in several years. He doesn't care if his lanes work or not, he just wants your money. Don't bother spending a cent here. Might I suggest bowling alleys in Kitchener or Cambridge? read more

This place is AWESOME!!! Me and and a colleague were traveling for work and went here to kill some time. Our first impression was the bar, it is the nicest bowling set bar I have ever seen and I've been in a lot of bowling alleys.Then we met some of the staff, Kathy, Bailey and Shalla. Sorry girls if I spelled your names wrong but these were the sweetest people by far and they made are night the greatest. I can't say enough about the treatment we recieved. If I am ever here again I will make a point to stop in even if it's just to say hello. We were also greated by the owner who made us feel very welcome. Our entire experience here was impeccable and the facilities were top notch. I highly recommend anyone who us in the area to visit. read more

Poor customer service from the owner. He doesn't understand the meaning of it. Don't expect any refunds or compensation for their old and faulty lanes or arcade games. Owner is a cheap creep. read more
