When you need work done on your home, you want the best to do it. I got quotes from 2 other places that came in under what Woods Basements price but again, I wanted the best. I signed the contract, paid my deposit a little over 45 days in advance. I get a call from a representative with Woods Basement less than 24 hours before they were due to start at my house saying there's a scheduling conflict and they needed to change the date. I said absolutely not, I took the day off work already and was not willing to change the date. A few hours later, they called back and said they'd honor the date and they'll be at my house at 9am the next day. The next day comes and at 845am, I get a call saying they're running behind and will be there shortly. Finally, they arrived; 50 minutes late! Now I'm frustrated. They began the work. I left them alone and the 2-man crew that was working seemed to be working very diligently. I don't think they took a break but I left the house a few times so who knows. About halfway through the day, a representative called me and asked me how it was going. I told her about the crew being late and she did not care at all . She just skipped right to her next question. I made sure I said it again to which she said "scheduling conflicts." Towards the end, the head guy tells me that I could benefit from adding another piece to the drainage system and that would cost an extra $250. I was leery but I did it. They finally finished around 730/8pm. That was a long day of work for them. I wrote a check for the remainder of the balance and off they went. I didn't get the option for a receipt for payment or anything in writing for the work they did. After they left, I found my driveway filthy from the remnants the crew left behind. Gravel and dirt left where their trailer was parked. I spent 30 minutes sweeping up the mess. The battery from the back up pump that they installed was just left on the floor. I would've like to have an option to have it out of the way. Very tacky in my opinion. The next day, I go down in my basement to inspect the system and I can see daylight coming from my foundation where they drilled for the drainage pipe to discharge. I don't know anything about basement systems but I can definitely say this was not correct. The gaping holes would for sure let bugs in and my heating and cooling to escape. I waited for 7 days and called the office to voice my concerns. I spoke with Roselle. She told me to send pictures of my complaints and she would be in contact with me the next business day to schedule a time for the crew to come out. She then sends me to another department so that I could get a copy of my receipt and warranty paperwork. I was told by that department that they don't issue that paperwork normally but only if you request it. That's weird but, whatever. What business doesn't automatically issue a receipt for paid services? They then emailed it to me. The next business day comes and goes. No calls. No emails. No attempts of contact from Woods Basement. Actually, 4 business days pass with no contact so finally I called back to get something worked out. I spoke with Monica and she seemed somewhat interested in my complaints, more than the other lady for sure. She worked something out and the next day, they call and said someone would be out to fix the gaping holes that were left and they were 25 minutes away. I wasn't home so they did everything from the outside. The battery pack still looks tacky as it just sits on the floor, in the way. I guess I have to figure that part out on my own. I went with this company based on reviews and reputation alone. Again, Woods was not the best price for what I wanted done but I bypassed that and still went with them. Would I have them out again?Highly unlikely. Only for warranty issues. Would I recommend them to family and friends. Probably not. I'm having a severe case of buyer's remorse. read more

We hired Woods Basement to level and brace the utility room floor, because it was beginning to sag. The crew they sent out jacked the house up in the wrong spot and caused damage to the house. The utility room floor is still untouched, and getting worse. We've been trying to get them to fix everything and they are refusing. They even tried to deny working on the house at first because we paid cash. This has been going on for over a year now. We have the IL Attorney General involved, but Woods still has yet to rectify anything. We are expecting Woods to do the right thing especially with such a big motto to live up to and apparently with all this money they have to spend on paying people for good ratings; how about just do the right thing and earn the good rating like a good company does. Do the right thing Woods and fix our home so we don't have to go any further in this case. We know you can and we appreciate that. read more

A contract from Woods Basement is meaningless according to Woods Basement. Woods Basement came out 12/16/25 to quote for basement, sidewalk, and driveway leveling. After quoting out for service, I signed the contract and paid the 30% down payment (all on 12/19/25) to secure the contract. I never heard back. After the holidays, I called back several times (both Sales and Production) and received no guidance or answer. Finally, on 1/9/26, I was advised by our Salesperson that they could not honor the contract I signed and paid down, pointing to a clause in the contract that says they have the right to back out. After reviewing with him, this clause did not exist (only customer-initiated cancellation within 30 days, but no mention of contractor-initiated cancellation). After escalating within Woods to have them honor the contract, I finally get an answer from CB (Sales Trainer, whose name I do not want to divulge on here), where he was the one that cancelled, said that they could not afford to provide the service that the contracted rate, that I could have them come back out and re-quote, and that I had no recourse. To their credit, they did initiate a refund (received 1/15/26 via mail, but only said "Accounts Receivable - Trade"). However, I did not receive any written discharge from the contract. Upon calling 1/16/26 to request, CB advised that they do not provide that, that I would have to go off his word that 'in their system', it showed "neither party is under any further obligation", but they would not provide anything further to prove this (not even an email, as I suggested to him). I have nothing on my end to show that 1) Woods Basement has officially chosen to not honor its own contract, and 2) due to this unwillingness, I have no exposure/liability to future harassment from Woods Basement. I am not looking for anything free, but I am looking to Woods to acknowledge they terminated the contract, and to alert others that a contract from Woods is meaningless. read more

No stars! Over 8k spent to have them install incorrectly, against their own plans. Multiple calls and emails all went unanswered. A year after install they want almost $200 MORE to come "inspect for warranty"....NOPE! And now here we are, their piping they installed (and destroyed the side yard doing so) apparantly has "settled or sunk" according to the rep who came today; or was his answer to the copious amounts of water coming out of the icebreaks and pouring against our foundation. AND!! Anything they installed outside of the house is NOT COVERED UNDER THEIR WARRANTY. They DO NOT follow their own contracts, they do not back their own work and they will NOT do anything other than suggest you call someone and pay about 2k to try to "regrade our foundation" WTH??? If anyone is looking at throwing away 8-10k, just hit me up, I promise I can make it go further and for better means than this rip off company. This place is the worst. We have been trying to get the mess their "best guy" left trying to level our front porch. The guy spent at least 6 hours here and complained he had to use too much product to lift the slab. He never got it lifted all the way up! He also left the remnants of the foam all over the concrete, vinyl siding, storm door, porch post, and soffit. They sent another employee out to clean the mess. However he only came with a wire wheel and grinder to remove the foam. That just makes everything look worse. Supposedly a manage at the company was to come out and find a solution. Do not waste your time with this company unless you want a major project done. I called asking to get a small leak in my basement wall patched/fixed. An appointment was made and several emails, texts & calls were made to confirm. A folder was sent outlining all of their services. My wife said "this is going to be expensive." I said, "no its only a crack & small leak." Sales Rep came today (Wed) and started walking around the house, making drawings & then sat down with a laptop for a sales pitch, the history of the company & digging & excavations. Then I knew my wife was right. He asked if I wanted it done? I said no, you wasted both of our times. I called for a patch job to stop a small leak. I said so on the phone, email & text messages. What this company calls "training" is nothing more than throwing new hires into excessive physical labor with no real instruction and expecting them to carry the heaviest load from the start. It comes across as disorganized at best and completely disrespectful at worst. This isn't a tough work environment--it's a poorly managed one. There's a difference between working hard and being treated like disposable labor, and this company clearly doesn't know the difference. If this is how they choose to run their operation, it reflects a serious lack of leadership, accountability, and basic professionalism. No one should walk into a first day and be treated this way. Six or more trips to my house four different people a manager two different salesman and they couldn't keep anything straight! The last phone call the salesman and his manager called me to say meet us at the house now. I said I can't. You wasted too much of my time go to the house and figure out what to do. He refused .... I told them they have been to my house 6 times. 3 times without me. I told the manager if they didn't go and look at everything and then call me I was through. He was rude and condescending. Worst decision in contact this company. Please stay away. I called them Just because I saw their info in my basement from previous owners. This company was so Expensive and takes forever to communicate. They didn't solve my problem yet since January 2025. Unprofessional workers around 7 different people came to tell me different stories of why I got water in my basement before and after they put a system. they gave your different estimates, different solutions to one problem, really? They broke my floor tile with no care so I had to replace it, and they broke one of my windows and of course I found out the next day they came. After several calls and complains they finally decide to come and see the window (it's being almost a month and haven't hear from my window since June 28) yes I called them several times!!! After work was "completed" they charge me an amount and after some weeks later they charge me with an unpaid balance. They never sent me a bill. Our experience with Woods Basement Systems was wonderful. First, a free quote can be done online or schedule an appointment over the phone. Our service member, Jake, was out in a few weeks to do an initial inspection and estimation on price. He was thorough with explaining the process and providing any information still needed, able to adjust our service to precisely what we desired. For this specific project, a concrete lifting & leveling was needed. Along with replacement of gutters and addition of a down-spout to the street. After this meeting, a deposit was required to secure official dates of installation. Our Customer Care Representative, Whitney did an outstanding job providing service to schedule our appointment. She was friendly and offered help when needed in suggesting dates optimal to us as well as them. Turnaround time was approximately six weeks from that first meeting to install. Our concrete leveling was done first then at a later date the gutters will be replaced. On the date of service scheduled. I was contacted by phone about 30 prior to note their arrival time. Jack was our point person for the day. He was helpful and knowledgeable about the process and answered any questions. Our service men did a great job explaining expectations and time length of the project. The final result was precisely what we were looking for. Go with any other company besides Woods. Not surprised to see so many other 1 star reviews. My husband and I had our basement waterproofed by them. back in 2019 but wanted to warn other. Here's how it went(this was pre-pandemic): Called at the last minute to reschedule start day. No big deal, just had to shift my work schedule. The second day, I came home on my lunch break as they said they would be there at 1:00. Did not arrive until well after 2:00 p.m., thus affecting my work schedule again. We were due to leave town on Friday, which I informed them of. The job was supposed to be finished by Wednesday. They failed to show up the second day. No call, no nothing. This caused us to delay starting our vacation by a day. When the project was finally finished, they did it wrong. I had to contact them to send someone else out to fix the issues. They were aware of what my job entailed when they booked the appointment, so if it wasn't worth it then they should have said so at the time. That would have been no problem at all. I had a horrible experience with Woods basement repair. I waited two months for them to finally get to my project and on the day that they were scheduled to workers who did not speak English well showed up they have no clue what the project was that they were going to be doing. after I explained what they were doing, they proceeded to tell me that the estimate was done incorrectly. They said the job was much bigger than they expected and they wanted to change the contract. I asked them to please leave after all of this occurred, I still have had no follow-up. WBS did work at my home 12/11/24. I was very pleased with the work & the crew, originally gave the company a 5 star review. Today I received a collection notice for delinquent payment. According to separate phone calls by both my husband & myself when we followed up with WBS before the end of December 2024, we "had a zero balance". So, the recent notice was surprising. I gathered all of my documentation, proof of cashed checks, details of multiple phone calls to the office & returned Sabrina's phone call. Turns out, someone in their office entered my last check twice, which accounted for the zero balance statement to us. However, the amount the collection notice stated we owed was incorrect. Pretty shoddy accounting, rude sending collection notices when it was their fault. Why not send a letter or email explaining their error? I'll tell you why, they didn't discover their error until I challenged the notice. read more

We hired Woods to waterproof and finish our basement. The waterproofing was done well and on time. The basement finishing project has been one dropped ball after another, leaving us incredibly frustrated and to the point that we are starting to look for other companies to finish the work. In almost four months, workers have been to our home a total of seven days and only completed the framing. There has been minimal proactive communication about the timeline of the project, next steps, and what to expect. When the workers have been here to do the framing, they were asking me about what had already been done, the project plan, who has done what, and other questions about the project that should not only be already documented, but I presume communicated by the the project manager or someone from the main office. This is not the responsibility of the client. Overall, it seems like nobody at Woods knows what's going on and that we are being ghosted about this project. The left hand doesn't know what the right is doing, nobody at Woods communicates with each other about what's going on, and then we are left here waiting. They came to fix our basement in May 10th-two days later it rained and the system was bone dry, it was not collecting any of the water and basement still filled with water. Someone came out at the END OF May to see what needed to be done, can't fix until June 23rd. They cancelled on us on June 23rd and said our new appointment was July 7th. The called 2 days before the 1st and said they're coming then. Fine. Glad they could come sooner but of course they didn't schedule it right. Oh they come on July 1st and bust our sewer line. They stop all the work and we get a plumber in to fix. We were told by the foremans ,Jacob and Steve, that once I call and let them know the sewer line is fixed, we would be made priority by Keith and they'd come this week . they both said they'd probably see us this Thursday or Friday. I call to get them here and scheduler says it's impossible to cancel because they have full schedules, they don't even have a Keith and that I was misinformed. SO, we have to have an open ditch until July 21st (if they even show up that day) that fills with water every time it rains. We are not priority bc this job is already paid for. They don't care about this being fixed or when it will be fixed. They have the absolute worst customer service. DO NOT hire these people to fix your basement. The sales person who comes out is not a structural engineer, they're just a salesman to sell their system. We are stuck dealing with them now. They do guarantee their work but the effort they put in to fix it is lacking. So we will be stuck dealing with them anytime something goes wrong. read more

A Woods Basement Waterproofing System was put in a home just prior to me purchasing. After 5.5 years my basement flooded. I paid a $144.00 for a service call as the warranty was 5 years. The "Tech" that came out indicated all three pumps, the battery, and the dehumidifier have failed. They quoted nearly 5k to replace them all. I declined and opted to handle myself. After testing the dehumidifier, it was determined to be just fine. No coolant issues. When I went to access the sump, I found the screws still had dirt caked in them. This indicated the "Tech" never even accessed the sump. When I did the troubleshooting on the pumps, I found the primary pump failed. The secondary pump just had a bad float. The battery backup and pump were fine. They battery ran dead from the battery-operated pump being used too long. The charger could not keep up. None of the alarms that were supposed to alert us to the issues sounded. As a result, 2 inches of water across the basement. Woods essentially sent a sales guy rather than a "Tech." I basically paid $144.00 for them to try to sell me an entire new system. AVOID these crooks! Their equipment is garbage, cheapest you can buy. Save your self the hassle and go elsewhere. read more

My basement leaks worse than before Woods Basement came. The bolts on the metal plates are bent on many of the plates that they installed and when called back to ask to make the situation right, no one called me back. To add insult to injury I received a call and a text from Wood's basement to set up an appointment for the annual visit.... I couldn't get them to to call me before and now they want me to pay for an annual inspection!?!?! Wood's basement is the worst and I do not recommend them! Incompetent, liars, and a total rip off! I could of paid a drunk off of the street and gotten better results. ***Please contact me if you're a victim of Basement Systems and are interested in a class action lawsuit.*** Wood's repairs were simply props that made it appear as if repairs were done. I had cracks in the wall in the basement and the wall was bowing almost 3", also water would come in through the exterior door. The salesman recommended a nearly 17k repair that included trenching with a moisture barrier, a sump pump, a grate under the door on the inside, a dehumidifier and brackets to stabilize the walls. He told me that cranking one of the brackets every 6 months would correct the leaning wall. In May of 2023, they did the initial repairs. The jack hammering was very loud. When they were done, I saw the props: fresh "concrete" drying, the grate by the door, the stabilizing brackets, a sump pump with 3 visible discharge lines on the outside, and the dehumidifier was there. The workers gave me a giant socket wrench and told me to crank the stabilizing bracket every 6 months. At this point, I was naively pleased and felt it was money well spent. In October, I found cracking along the edges and moisture was getting in. The sump pump was installed backwards and wasn't functioning properly, the discharge lines from the sump pump were not secured or functional. The stabilizing brackets were not strong enough and one of them was bowing. The grate by the door was caked with sloppy "concrete". I complained and they agreed to redo the work, making no concessions regarding the stabilizing brackets, which were not working. When they came to remove the "concrete", I expected loud jack hammering, but it was surprisingly quiet, due to the softness of the "concrete". When they refilled the trench, they took the "concrete" chunks that they had busted up and threw them back in along with some new rock. The line for the trench was jagged. They slopped globs of "concrete" on the opening where the dehumidifier drains, making it useless. The water barrier, that by state regulation is supposed to be 10 mil plastic, was thin, like a cheap trash bag, supposedly 4 mil. It was rumpled under the chunks of used "concrete" with no potential of sealing out moisture. The grate by the door was made worse by sloping the "concrete" to direct water in. The sump pump was still not corrected or functional. They used duct tape to secure the cheap, plastic water guard. I was shocked at the brazen carelessness and the toy-like, low quality of the materials. Thankfully, I saw their overpriced system exposed. Each part was a cheap prop and the work was performed with no regard for functionality. They don't use actual concrete. They use a cheap sand mixture called Quickrete Sand Topping Mix. It is intended to be used for repairing and topping damaged concrete surfaces less than 2" thick- not for a basement floor that is to be a minimum of 4"thick. That explains why it was cracking everywhere. After I complained again, they agreed that it was not acceptable. They offered to repeat the work, using higher quality materials than they usually do and said that this time they will do it right. With so much jostling to the foundation, I consulted with qualified professionals. I learned that the low-quality support beams were not holding the wall up, not spaced properly, and that removing certain ones could cause structural issues. They cautioned me against cranking the bracket biannually saying it will cause structural damage. The sump was unneeded to begin with, and cannot be removed either. They told me that I agreed to this, I signed a contract. Basically saying, sorry it didn't work for your situation, but this is they system we offer. I wish I had done more research before choosing Wood's, there are many reviews like mine. I have had the issues corrected by a local, family owned business, who said they fix Wood's works often. What should have been a 10k repair, turned into a 30k repair. Even their warranty is a prop- they say its 25 years but it is only 7 years, here in Missouri. read more

It is not my habit to drag a business through the mud without due cause. I had my home's floors "permanently" stabilized. Not my words, it is actually typed in the job description. That was a little over two years ago. I had an employee out today because there are still some issues that indicate foundation instability...doors not closing, cracks changing gap width, etc. I got an estimation over the initial cost to repair the current issues. My first experience with this company was epically horrible to a point that I was seeking representation. I am aware these repairs include installing new beams and jacks which is not covered under a warranty. Please be a diligent consumer and use extreme caution if you consider this company. read more

After the quality of their workmanship and organization become apparent I decided to stop them from doing any more work. When I asked to stop the project and to only pay for the work that had been completed they refused to give me back the rest of the unspent money. I had Woods to get rid of the musty smell in my house. I paid $12,500 for them to encapsulate the crawl space in my 860 sq ft home. It did not resolve the issue. June 2024 a salesman who no longer works there ensured me that a $2,900 air purifier designed by someone in the family of the business would take care of my musty odor. It does not do anything for the musty odor. I called and asked if it would be possible to sell it back at a loss to me just to help pay down my $2,900 home loan for the unit. I was told they would not do so but I could pay a tech $160 to ensure it was working properly. The salesman assured it was working properly before he left. The workers are great to deal with. The salesmen for the encapsulation and the air purifier were very nice. Neither are still with the company. I have left messages. I am having no luck getting the company to consider buying back the air purifier that does not do the job I was told it would do. My name is Allan Harris, 217-415-1020. My wife and I bought a house that had previously had a issue with sinking and woods basement systems inc. had installed piers to keep the house from sinking any further and they give a lifetime of the structure warranty. Shortly after purchasing the home we noticed new cracks in the drywall. So we called woods to come out and take a look. During the inspection I asked the woods employee if he had the original measurements from when the piers were done. He said he couldn't find them in his system but that the issue I was having is from the basement wall pushing in. That i would need to spend over $7000 in bracing to fix the problem. I went a long with a condition that they would find the original measurements so that we can make sure the house has not continued to sink. A install date was set for July 7th 2022. When the installers showed up to work they discovered that the plans they had were drawn incorrectly only after they had drilled several large holes in the foundation in the wrong spot and they would have to cancel for the day and reschedule so they could have the correct plans. I was rescheduled a couple weeks later during this time we had a rain storm and some of the holes they drilled leaked water destroying the carpet. When they returned to finish the work they were half way through and the building inspector failed there work because the wall anchors we set 15" to high and would not work. So they ended up canceling for the rest of the day because they were going to have start over and did not have time to finish. So I was rescheduled again for a couple weeks out. All the while I still haven't received the original measurements or been offered any kind of compensation for the carpet. I was then canceled on at least 4 times for various reasons. Don't fall victim to their trap as I did. If you look everywhere else, they have stellar reviews. I did some some conflicting stuff when I looked on the BBB website but there were more good than bad so I thought I was making a wise decision. Turns out, I didn't. The quality and value of this service provided, which was encapsulating our crawl space, was absolute TRASH. It looks so messy and so sloppy and I'm absolutely disgusted with how this company handles their business. The work was rushed and just thrown together with duct tape in some parts. We had a water proof material that was down there before but we didn't know anything about it and we trusted the professionals we hired to do the job that we were promised. It looks no better than it did before we fixed it. The day of the service, the techs ran out of the insulation for the rim Joyce's and had to leave in the middle of the job. They couldn't even get the same color for Pete's sake, half the basement has neon orange insulation. It was not sealed all the way, you could see the gaps, it looked awful. When we said something to the techs, he said something along the lines of well it doesn't need to look nice and doesn't need to be sealed all the way. Ooookay. He then proceeded to climb onto the space and the water proof material was just taped to the wall and 3/4s of it fell off the wall. This is what is supposed to keep everything nice and dry, not even anchored or sealed. I obviously voiced my concerns that I was not happy with this service and in the next couple of days a supervisor called me. He was incredibly condescending and wouldn't let me get a word in half of the time. Whenever me or my significant other would ask a question, he would talk to us like we were stupid. When they were laying the water proof material, no one told us to the level the dirt so we could make it nice and even across the crawl space. When asked about it, he said well I can do it for another $250 and that we were essentially stupid for expecting a flat part of the crawl space and that he "couldn't anchor into dirt". Of course you can't! It's just that this company sells you a nice picture of what you think your project is going to be and then when the work is done, which isn't by their employees btw, they subcontract out, it's completely different than what you were promised. We were not told that either. I am incredibly aggravated with this company and their customer service. It has been over a month since someone reached out to schedule another service to redo this project and I haven't heard from anyone. Funny how that works. Take my advice, don't do business with this company or you'll regret it as I am doing now. I wish I would have looked here first! read more

The beginning of house fixings. My house was sinking in west St. Louis County clay soil. I'd seen signs. And I ignored them for about six months, until they started showing up in my bedroom, second floor. Ceiling separating from wall. Thomas Wittrock came April 3 for an inspection and came back April 12 with a proposal and a contract. I signed it. I was scheduled for work June 26-27-28. They established expectations right away. That didn't bother me at all. If you're doing work with a good contractor, you've got to wait. Think about it this way. If you need brain surgery and you can get in the next day, how good is this person? It's an Uh-oh situation. Piering day was June 26. Three piers. They told me they were going to have to move the piers from their original positions. That wouldn't have bothered me too much, except two of the piers were in the finished part of the basement. They worked hard and diligently. And got ALL the new piers into their original locations. Anchor day was June 27. Digging and drilling into the front yard through the foundation to imbed anchors in the basement. Seven across the front of the house. Jeremy Raby, the anchor foreman was a font of information about the anchors. Don't put drywall up until you've had a massive rainfall. If there is dripping off the bolts, call Jeremy, and they will come fix it. Interestingly, we had two major rainfalls: July 17 and July 21. I checked all bolts. None had water dripping. The poly work to bolster the front stoop (fallen from chipmunk tunnels) was completed July 1. Once that was done, the sidewalk fell from the stoop, so they had to poly a part of the sidewalk. Never a dull moment. So, now we're on to the next road of fixing up the basement -- like putting it back where it was. Woods Basement Systems foremen and workers did a fabulous job. I so admire their knowledge and understanding of what they're doing. They're experts. And their work is guaranteed for as long as the house is standing -- regardless of the owner. read more

Had some attic work done by Woods Basement less than a year ago - there were a number of challenges during the install but at the end of the day I accepted the work that was done. Now the radiant barrier product that they stapled to the roof rafters are pealing down. I am not certain if it is a problem related to the product quality installed by Woods Basement or if Woods Basement installed it incorrectly. I have contacted Woods Basement via email with the videos below and am getting no response. I contracted Woods Basement system to Mud Jack my driveway and sidewalk to make them level because they had settled. They have come back 3 times now trying to get it right. They cracked my driveway in 2 places and drilled over 80 holes in the concrete in a short distance and used different materials to fill the holes, it looks terrible! It still isn't even close to being done right and It's nowhere near level. It looks a lot worse now than when they started. The 3rd time they tried to fix it they damaged my irrigation system and I had to pay approximately $1200 to get it repaired. I gave Woods a copy of the ATO irrigation bill and they said it was not realistic, they didn't believe any of it. I ask them to call ATO because ATO said they would be glad to speak with them about the bill. I ask Woods If I could be on that call and they said no. I spoke with ATO after the call and they said Steve from Woods was very rude and argumentative and didn't want to listen to anything they said. I then called Steve and he said he would give me a $200 refund but that was all. I said no that was unacceptable. I wish I had read the reviews and checked with the BBB before I called them (73 complaints, 39 in the last 12 months). If I had I would never have hired them! read more

Do not use them for piering work, they will destroy your basement floor/walls and cause the house to move so your door and windows won't shut. I bought my house in April and a few months before the previous owner spent $70K+ to have woods basement to put piers in all around the house. The work was so new that Woods hadn't even scheduled to grade around the house until May. Since I'm a veteran I had to have a normal home inspection and a VA appraisal done. The condition in which I bought my house is very well documented. I noticed a new crack in my basement floor, so I notified Woods, I showed them when the crew came out for grading. At first Woods tried to claim that the damage was there before until I told them of my dual inspection. They then scheduled a crew to do foam injections. Before the crew came out, I would call Woods to notify them that multiple cracks are forming all over the floor and something was very wrong. I also showed them outside of the house where the dirt was falling as much as 2 feet from when the grading was done. The crew did the injections and told me that should take care of everything. A few weeks later I started noticing real damage. I would call to report the damage and either get the run around, get hung up on or told that they had no one to help me. Finally, in July they sent someone out to take pictures and assess what needed to be done. We are now at where the piers are failing and moving, pulling on parts of the basement floor and walls in different directions so about 40-50% of my basement has severe cracking. The basement walls have cracks going in all directions, my driveway is separating from the house and the doors and windows are no longer working. This was beyond the scope of the Woods assessor, and he said that he had to get a production manager out. I heard nothing from Woods and when I call I get the run around (Everyone is always in meetings). After I threatening to post negative reviews they finally tell me a project manager will be out, but it won't be until August. To no one's surprise they didn't send out a project manager just another person to take pictures. In the 2 weeks between the inspection more cracks appeared inside the house, basement wall/floor and now the support braces no longer touch the floor. It hasn't even been a week since that last check and now I see cracks forming by 2 of my windows. They sent me an email telling me they tried to get in touch with me so when I call no one has answers for me on what steps to take next. I truly think they don't know what the next step is. So, before you even think to call these guys just be aware if they mess up you will get "ghosted" and may have to get a lawyer to resolve any issues caused by them. read more
