Really great coffee which is surprising since this is a chain. They have a great low acidity coffee if u get "cold brew streamed."

Easter weekend and very few stores are open in this strip mall. I was so happy to be able to find some decent coffee. Drive thru: Service friendly and I have no complaints about their chai tea latte. I wasn't hungry so I didn't order food. I almost wished I were. Breakfast served all day plus baked daily from scrach! Veggie wrap, breakfast cookie, sandwiches: sausage and cheddar, bacon and cheddar, GF sausage and cheddar (GF?), GF Ham and swiss - I guess your "girlfriend" has items just for her! LOL. TERRIBLE FOOD!!! Literally, some of the worst food I've ever eaten. On two separate occasions, no less! We had a breakfast burrito one time and some kind of "healthy" breakfast bar another and both times ended up laughing hysterically at one another trying to finish chewing and swallow the horrible things in our mouths. Their hot chocolate is weird, too. It's spiced or something. Was disappointing, was really psyched for hot chocolate. The coffee is OK, the service, OK. If you need an expensive coffee drink and some wifi time, you could do worse, I suppose. Just don't order any food! Just another bland corporate chain store, with a fancy facade of quality. Choose a mom and pop outlet, instead. read more

I received an email from "Jessica" at the Woods Coffee, offering me an apology and a $10 gift card so I could try them again. Obviously, I don't know what their overhead is and maybe their prices are reasonable in that area - but I just don't pay that much for that size of iced mocha. I requested they donate the $10 to a charity instead. Still, it was nice that someone took the trouble to respond. If you don't mind paying the price, it's good coffee. Yummy! We made a stop here after crossing the border (needed a bathroom break). We tried the white mocha, iced caramel-coconut latte, and banana bread... all were great! I especially liked the iced caramel-coconut latte because it reminded me of my favourite coffee drink that I used to enjoy back in my hometown. My dad got the breakfast wrap (which was vegetarian) and he really liked it. The service was great and staff was very friendly I'll probably stop by again next time I'm in town. read more

This is one of our favorite coffee shops in the Blaine / Birch Bay area. We have a really nice Starbucks in town now but still come to Woods often because the staff are friendly and it has more of a homey, local vibe than the huge multinational commercial Starbucks vibe. Their lattes are really good and they have some decent snacks too. Their banana bread warmed up is Drop the Mic good. Their mini breakfast burrito is pretty good but they only have it with sausage which is not my favorite. The decor is also much more Pacific Northwest - lots of stone and wood walls, tables, etc. read more

I always have to stop at the Woods anytime I'm north of Seattle. It's a rarity to be able to enjoy beans that are bitter and gross. No offense to all you Starbucks-a-holics, but that stuff is not real coffee. They have a point system similar to Starbucks and their gift cards. I haven't tasted a Woods Coffee, but I've seen more of them in Northern Washington. This one wasn't from the border. Tons of parking in this area. Decent sized area and nice comfortable feel to the theme. I went with their blended drink "Avalanche" which was like a frappe, but had coconut in it. Delicious. Friendly staff. price is comparable to other coffee shops. Service was fast. Comfortable place with clean bathrooms. Outside seating has even a fireplace. read more

Always a fan! Whenever I am going to the US, I always have to stop at Woods Coffee. Great staff, great coffee, and a cute little cafe. Although it may be a little more expensive than your typical Starbucks, their pastries are delicious, they have tons of cute snacks to go along with your morning coffee, and their drinks in my opinion speak for themselves! Came here in the early morning a few months back when the family and I were on the way to the Bellingham airport. It was nice and quiet morning with a few customers awake. We sat near the fireplace and had a few scones and drinks between the five of us. It's a beautiful little coffee place with lovely wood interior and some nice modern looking appliances. The staff were friendly (surprisingly for that early morning--even if they were grumpy I wouldn't blame them). But I had a good time here and I enjoyed my hot chocolate. read more

I will NEVER drink another cup of Woods coffee again. I recently met somebody at the Blaine location because it was close for them. We were having cofffee and a dicussion. A group of six young women came in and sat at the next table (or two). They ordered and sat down to enjoy themselves. As time progresses, it was obvious they were really having a good time together. Their exuberance was obvious, as they got a little loud-not too bad, but louder than the rest of the patrons. Remember, we were sitting next to them. One of the staff came to their table and asked them to quiet down. They did, but soon the noise ramped up. The coffee at the Woods Coffee chain is always good. However, not a fan of how extremely cold it is in there. If you want to study or chat for a bit you can forget about it. I felt like I needed to bring in a blanket to be comfortable in there. Also very, very small; concerned about how they are enforcing the pandemic policies. Definitely felt like there were too many people in there and proper social distancing was not an option. Not to mention there was a barista without a mask and none of them were wearing gloves. Make sure to wipe down your own tables because they are not doing it. Will not be returning until we are out of the pandemic. read more

Woods Coffee is the local chain of coffee houses in Whatcom County. I've been there dozens and dozens of times. They have very helpful and personable service, very good coffee, teas, and snacks. This is a family-owned and operated chain. Woods is a very strong member of the community, supporting lots of important causes. There are 9 locations and I have been to 7 of them. Highly recommend the Boulevard Park location because you are right on the Bellingham Bay inside the park - and you can walk down to Fairhaven along the water, then come back for coffee. Very nice! Whenever I have a choice of where to go - I like to go locally first - and I know that I'll get good, consistent experiences at Woods. read more

I love coming to woods; for my morning coffee, studying, visiting with friends or just hanging out. The staff is always super nice and on top of what ever you want. There coffee is most of the time in point and very flavorful. I do recommend woods coffee for anybody who is looking for a coffee place to go to. There menu is just the right size and changing with the season. There food is delious and there gear is always current. Great staff and yummy treats! I came here twice during my visit to the area and had a pleasant experience both times. They have tasty breakfast sandwiches and baked goods - I had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and the savory twist (highly recommend it!) The staff was very nice and friendly. It's a good place to sit down and relax with relaxing furniture. But like all Woods stores, the drinks (I have tried cappuccino and hot chocolate many times) are very average. For example the hot chocolate is very sweet. When requesting half sweetness it is still sweet. It's a one-pump system where taste and sugar are mixed. The cappuccino gives you bathtub foam instead of micro foam as it is supposed to be. Still hoping for cappuccino education for the employees one day. read more

We moved out of Whatcom county last spring, when we come home to visit our 1st stop in one of the many Woods locations and it is always something to look forward to! Their lattes are just a solid and always smooth, I typically get a double shot spruce breve and never feel I need to add flavor which is saying something. I also love it is the only drive thru coffee house where I can have GF breakfast sandwich (these little niceties are super nice when the are rare!). Not to mention the have several other items. I really miss having a Woods near by in SW Washington, but love stopping in where are back in the area. read more

I feel like every time I've come here over the last few months somethings always wrong. I received the wrong pastry box threw the drive threw a few weeks ago, had the right sticker on it but it wasn't the scone I ordered. I've Also had a couple disgusting/burnt/bitter coffee drinks, I've learned to skip the coffee and just get water or an iced tea, although they forgot to sweeten my iced tea last time, blech! But today I was in a hurry, needed a quick lunch, wasn't about to eat fast food and figured driving threw woods for a sandwich would be my best bet, wrong! How can you serve a burnt sandwich?! I thought well maybe it will still taste good, nope! The bread was hard and bacon was really chewy, & it tasted burnt, go figure. It was just flat out disgusting! I'm really disappointed in this $8.00 sandwich & a lot of their food lately- I feel like the price has gone up but the amount of food and the quality have gone down significantly, which is a bummer because I feel like the staff at this location is way better than a lot of locations. Great coffee, great service, lovely ambience. I'm a big fan. Wasn't expecting to have such a good experience at a cafe in the middle of the Birch Bay shopping mall. The latte was perfect, and the savory twist I had was delicious, freshly baked, and tasted healthy with the 60% whole wheat flour. It's popular with the locals. I was surprised to see so many people working on laptops so early in the morning there. read more

Nice little coffee shop in the middle of a shopping plaza just off of I-5. I stopped here on the way back home after visiting Canada for a short while. Their coffee is great and service was cheerful and quick. The cafe space was nice and open with a NW theme to it. Didn't feel crowded at all. If I really had to nit pick at something, it would be that they name their sizes after trees... cute but not really needed in my opinion. Definitely would stop by again if I'm in the area! read more

Came here 15 minutes before close and sat at the speaker box waiting for them to take my order, I waited for 5 minutes and no one answered. We drove up to the window and waited and no one came up. There were obviously workers inside cleaning and about to shut down for the night but they blatantly ignored us. Very disappointed. I won't be coming here again. read more
