My husband and I visited the nursery for the first time this past Saturday, during a quiet morning. Chris greeted us (appropriately from about 12 feet away,) and spent about an hour answering my many questions and walking us around the nursery to show us plant after plant. It's November, and everything is dormant, but he was kind enough to show us photos from his mobile phone and explain the growth habits of each plant as it grows. We ended up buying a few things, including a Japanese maple (the coveted "floating cloud" / Ukigumo variety!). The prices were extremely reasonable--very competitive with other nurseries in the area. I even found some great deals on time-tested perennials for only $5! (They need to be planted over, but a 1-gal perennial for $5 is a screaming deal.) It was a relaxed, zero-sales-pressure morning with people who obviously know and enjoy plants. With free local delivery on large ($500+) orders, we expect to be back again in the Spring! (For what it's worth, I am extremely conservative about my exposure to people and COVID, and I felt safe the entire time I was at Woods Creek. It was a nice, rare field trip outside the house.) I would highly recommend a drive to Monroe to escape the pretentious, overpriced, crowded, tchotchke-saturated "plant nurseries" in Bellevue, Shoreline, and Seattle. There's no coffee stand, only hundreds (thousands?) of plants and a few humans who love them. read more

Exceptional customer service! Knowledgable empolyees. This nursey is well organized with multiple green houses and easy to find items. Found exactly what we were looking for. Great selection with very resonable prices.. Many native varieties also available which is difficult to locate sometimes. Gentleman helped us load our car and wheel the cart from the the back of the nursery. Wonderful and surprising experience. We are so thrilled to find this nursery in our journeys. We love this place! Great selection. The owners give you advice, show you around, help you decide, help you move the plants you want. Prices are very fair. The plants are outdoors and therefore seasoned. There are not many nurseries like this around here and certainly none that provide such a friendly, personal shopping experience. Woods Creek sold me many escallonia plants that were very clearly diseased with leaf spot fungus. While not obvious upon purchase all the plants were overcome with disease within about a week of planting - no way that fungus wasn't already present in the plants. When I asked them to make it right by at least offering a partial refund they stopped returning my emails. Unacceptable. Will never shop here again if they're unwilling to stand behind what they sell. read more

In my opinion, a nursery is for wandering and dreaming. I didn't get that feeling at this place...and it's very spendy. While the nursery is large, it seems very disjointed and when we came to look through the selections of trees, we were not really given the liberty of wandering and looking. A woman insisted on showing us exactly what kind of stock she had, though I might have enjoyed just looking around. She acted as if we were a nuisance and in the end, we left, feeling like she was "keeping an eye" on us, just because we didn't know exactly what we wanted. read more

I don't know if the reviews below are fake or not, but I do know Sharon is no fake. She knows her firs from her birches. I emailed a few nurseries in the area with a long list of items I needed and Sharon was the only one that did not keep me waiting. This is huge, because now I could plan my week and projects. Sharon was also willing to come in on her day off to accommodate my schedule. Again, huge 'cause we were making the trip from Lake Chelan for this project. Sharon tripped us out 'cause she suddenly started speaking fluent spanish to one of her staff. We were pretty stoked about this and our relationship changed after this. Her knowledge is incredible too. I'm yet to find someone so damn knowledgeable about their product no matter what line of product or business. There was a few items we had to replace and she had replacements and also educated us on such items that would not do well in Lake Chelan's extreme weather and some toxic plants that would not do well with dogs and children. Sharon is not only personable, charismatic, but a great source of knowledge--take advantage of it! I highly recommend Woods Creek, mostly due to Sharon, but I do have to say her product is solid and huge. She has to use a golf cart to get around. She's wholesale so she has the lowest prices and also grows everything including the plants and trees you will find in nearby nurseries. I've been here twice and know I'll be back. Don' t come here looking for pretty flowers, this is more of a flowering shrubs, plants and trees. read more

Stopped by here 'big tree shopping' on a slow weekday. Was warmly greeted by a lady--little did I know it was the owner herself--she spent probably a bit over 1 hour walking us through her nursery, even driving us around in a golf cart. There was never any perceived pressure to buy, and the collection of plants including their Japanese Maples were amazing. They have numerous beautiful, large, impressive specimens--we ended up buying a +15ft Japanese maple that must have been 30+ yrs old. Couldn't be any more happy in the way it turned out, and can't recommend this nursery highly enough! read more

Woods Creek Nursery sold us a tree that was severely bowed and covered in moss. When we tried to return it for a credit they refused. These people know nothing about customer service, and their trees are unhealthy and ugly. Do yourself a favor and buy from a reputable nursery. read more

I have called around a few tree nurseries looking for a special Memorial Day tree for my father. I called Woodcreek on a Tuesday when they're normally closed to the public and Donna answered the phone. I explained to her what I was looking for she took my number and email and said she would email me some prices. About 20 minutes later I received an email with individual pictures of each tree that they had. Donna and the owner Sharon had taken a bed sheet and held it behind each tree just so I could see it clearly. I picked out the tree and told them I would be there the next day when they were open. When I got there Sharon greeted me as I walked up to the main office I told her I was here to see Donna about a dogwood tree. She told me she was sorry for my loss and that she was the one holding the sheet. I met Donna and she drove me to see the trees I picked the one that she had picked as her favorite as well. While I waited for them to dig it up for me I was greeted by virtually everyone that work there in such a fine and pleasant manner. They quickly got the tree burlapped and loaded into my vehicle I could not have been more excited. They made my experience extremely Pleasant and I would recommend them to anyone not to mention the prices are awesome. Since the tree I was looking for is pretty hard to find. They are all extremely knowledgeable in the realm of horticulture and right before I left I told Sharon the owner that they have my business for life. I just want to say thank you so much I love the tree and I know that my father would have loved this tree I look forward to seeing you grow for many years. I was extremely impressed with Woods Creek Wholesale Nursery. The nursery is beautiful, full of trees in their 25 acres of land. It is very well kept, a very knowledgeable staff and has an enormous selection healthy shrubs, Japanese Maples, ground cover and other trees to choose from. I was very happy with the selection of trees she had available for me to choose from. I would not shop at any other nursery after visiting this one. What really sets this nursery apart from the others is the wide selection, the affordable prices and the personal attention from Sharon Ronsse. She asked questions about my yard and what my needs were, then gave me ideas of how to design my yard. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Perhaps I am just a suburban idiot. I was lured to the location by the promise of wholesale prices for japanese maples. Home Depot has red laceleaf japanese maples that are 3-5 feet tall that are $129. These same trees are $500 or more at the wholesale nursery. I called to try to get a price range and was given a vague answer about the age of the tree dictating the prices. I met the owner when I went out there. She was super nice. But it would be nice if the website had pricing for trees on a sample basis to get a reference. Like I said - it's probably me. But the pricing was vague and much more than I expected. It would have saved 2 hours of time driving to Monroe and back. read more

This is a wonderful wonderful nursery! The nursery is very big and has a great selection of locally grown plants at wonderful prices. Sharon (the owner) is very helpful, she is very knowledgeable with all her plants and if you go during the week and even schedule some time with her ahead of time she will take you around and show you all the plants that may be best for your project. I shared with her my ideas and even provided her a picture and diagram of my yard and she was able to understand my needs, show me all the plants that would work for my yard and even gave me some ideas on the design (how and where to plant them). I've even sent her emails with questions and she responds immediately. She has been extremely helpful and is genuinely interested in providing you the best plant for your project/yard. Dont be pulled into the low prices of this wholesale nursery. My wife and I spent $2,300 here to landscape our new home. We purchase a Japanese maple that we were told by owner would produce red leaves. Years later and it continues to grow green. Also spent a few hundred dollars on some large bamboo trees. We particularly asked if it would grow and spread outward as we were putting next to a retaining wall and concrete lawn edging. The owner once again assured us it would only grow upward. We now have to cut both down and remove as the bamboo is pooping up 4 ft away from tree and growing in to concrete. I called the owner and was told oh sorry I must have just got a real strong growing one. I'm now having to spend hundreds of dollars to remove bamboo trees and rots growing into wall. Plus the lose for the two trees I cut down. Never once did Wood Creek try to help or compensate me for either tree. Rather both times blaming my wife and I, saying we were never told either. Make sure to read their policy. As they truly do not guarantee any of their product. Once you leave they are done helping you in any way. read more

I came to Woods Creek for the first time on a quiet Sunday and was immediately helped by Gretchen, who expertly showed me around for more than an hour. She advised me about the kind and number of perennials that would work for my garden's situation. I was prepared with pictures of plants, shrubs & trees that I would like--and that had worked for me in the past. She carefully listened & put together a garden plan--including practical advice for dealing with my large dog. It was obvious this was a real "working" nursery---not all flash & showy. Very down to earth. Excellent selection, combined with excellent service. Ironically, I didn't leave with the Japanese Maple I intended to buy--but that's because many of the small er specimens were already sold. This is a great nursery to load up on plants, definitely worth the drive from Seattle if you have a good sized project. Their prices are much better than the retail places around the area, just don't expect an espresso stand, air plants in glass containers, or classes on how to grow organic asparagus! This is a wholesale nursery and they grow their own plants. They have a good selection of shrubs, ground covers, ornamental grasses, Japanese maples, and other trees. The owner is very knowledgeable and will help you out if you have an idea of what you want, just keep in mind she runs the place and is usually multitasking (on radio with staff, cell with customers, and riding around on a cart finding plants for people). Also, I was prepared to rent a truck, but she helped load my small two door car with more plants than I thought would fit in a pickup. It was like plant Tetris, and they made it home fine. read more

Great place; hands down. The selection is huge - larger than any nursery in the Seattle area, including Molbak's. Owner Sharon knows her plants very well, and is very generous with her time.
