Call me old fashioned but I like to use a brick and mortar store when it comes to locks and security. (Had a bad experience in the city from a "mobile locksmith" years ago but that's a story for another day). I spoke to Jose at Merrick Master Locksmiths, we agreed on a price range and he was at my house in less than 30 minutes. Jose extracted the broken key and fixed the lock in about 10 minutes including a nice hit of WD-40 to lube it up, something I'll do in future periodically to keep things working well. Price was reasonable for a house call and he even threw in 2 free spare keys made at the store later that day. Lock is working perfectly now. Merrick Master Locksmiths offers a wide array of products/services ranging from simple key dupes to high tech keypad lock installation. My house had an old slate roof that was approaching 100 years old. For over 25 years, I…read moreperiodically needed repair work done for leaks. After that became exhausting, against my will, I realized that I was unable to keep the roof that I thought I could not live without, forever. I had John Dominick Cusumano, Inc. rip my roof off and replace it with a new asphalt shingle roof. Dominick and Donna, their receptionist, were very helpful in selecting out a shingle that still gave the old-world charm of my Pennsylvania slate that was falling apart. Cusumano was able to put back my old copper snow guards & ridges on the new asphalt roof, giving the new roof the old look that I loved. They were also able to add a new copper valley and copper trim to a dormer and give the new copper that old tarnished green look to match the old existing copper. I was so happy with their work that shortly after, I had them build a walk-in closet for my wife. After they had finished, I realized that there were too many shelves for shoes and not enough for clothes. After conveying this to Dominick, he sent his workers back the following week and reconstructed the closet to my wife's liking. The owners, Dominick and his brother, John are two exceptional gentlemen. They run a professional business and are very nice with their customers. Donna, the receptionist, always kept me abreast of the scheduled work. All their workers are very polite and professional, and always clean up at the end of the day.
