I understand you're on your lunch break, but it would be nice to be acknowledged. I finally stuck my head around the corner and spoke to one of the mechanics. Yes, they were on their lunch break, and he said he would get to me as soon as they were finished. I didn't have an appointment, and they were able to get me in and change my oil with no problem. My 16 year old daughter went to get an oil change here. Since I called a few days ahead and was told they don't take appointments, I sent my daughter in on her own for a walk in oil change. She was told it would take 15 minutes. After sitting there for 45 minutes in the hot office she calls me to tell me they can't change her oil because they're too busy working on another car. I wish they would have told her this from the get go instead of wasting her time because she could have picked up a shift for work that she passed up. Bar none the best mechanics in all of San Diego! My 2000 Nissan Xterra wasn't starting. Jumped it, changed the battery and jumped again. No change. So, instead of admitting they didn't know how to fix my vehicle, they charged me to install a bunch of parts that the vehicle didn't need, and also charged for the incorrect diagnostic. Then, after all that, as I was sitting there broken down, telling them they didn't fix the issue, they still tried to charge me another $175 to get a different diagnostic. read more

Wow, thankful I did my research and found a good mechanic. I have been in search of a new mechanic for about a year and from the moment I first spoke to them to the completion of a $1500 job I have been extremely satisfied with their service. I called in about upper and lower ball joints, oil change and the serpentine belt. I went in for an inspection they confirmed there was issues with both items. They gave me a very fair estimate on site and a couple good pieces of advice. We scheduled the work and the job was completed on time. These are good honest people with integrity. Don't expect them to go out of their way. I have been coming to them for about a year for repairs and oil changes. The last time I went for oil change, I didn't keep the window sticker of when to come again as I usually write that down elsewhere. Anyway, I called them today to see if they could look up my record for the mileage I needed to come back in at. I spoke to Raad (one of the owners) who told me they didn't have time to look that up that they were short handed that I either needed to look at the last invoice (which I don't have) or on the window sticker. He was kinda rude about it too. Like how dare I interrupt his work to ask him a stupid question like that. I asked him if that meant he wouldn't look it up later either and he confirmed that. I told him if he couldn't do a small service like that for a good customer that I would go somewhere else and his attitude was good riddance. What kind of business does not help out a customer especially when that would mean more money in their pocket later. Up to now, I had been happy with them. They had even referred us to a great business, action cylinder, that did work that they didn't handle. Very disappointed to have to now find someplace else that has a better customer service attitude. read more

I was recommended here by a friend after I was quoted over $1500 by a dealer for some regular maintenance. Not only did they manage to get everything repaired within the day (rear brake pads, spark plugs, and a whole hose that was causing my check engine light to illuminate), but it was nearly half what the dealer quoted. They don't push extra maintenance that they don't think is absolutely necessary, and they'll show you the parts they removed. Awesome service! Brought in my car to get an oil changed here. Unfortunately the mechanic hit a small bump. The mechanic came to me being honest that my car oil filter cover was too tight and it got cracked. So they went out of their way and went to get the part replaced quickly and upgraded my filter cover with a better one with no extra charge. My friend recommended this place and she sure was right! Ive used this place a lot for oil changes but this is twice they have turned me away. I pulled up at 4:27, came straight from work and asked for an oil change and he told me it was too late. THEY CLOSE AT 5!! Im not asking for a free service TAKE MY CASH AND CHANGE MY OIL, it's a 10 minute job. I said but you don't close for 30 minutes, he says " we have stuff to do before we close". I just walked away. I get that it's close to closing time but it's just a effin oil change. Amazing mechanic! This shop specializes in Mustangs. Although it is a busy shop and it could take a little bit longer to get your car back than standard shops, the prices are exceedingly cheap and the work is top quality. Before I brought my mustang in I had taken my car in to two different mechanics for a diagnostic and neither one of these shops were able to diagnose the problem with my car. Pierre was able to diagnose the problem and fix everything for a fraction of any other shop I was able to get a quote from. If you have a Mustang and need more than an oil change or very basic work it's definitely worth the drive out to Lakeside to have your car worked on. read more
