This family-owned shop found it just needed lubrication on a specific portion and recommended driving it a bit to see if that solved the issue--no pressure to spend more than necessary, in fact they didn't charge me anything. We have been going to Roy's for all our automotive needs for about 3 years now. Between me and hubby we have 4 vehicles and obviously always need a reliable trusted mechanic. Roy's gets it done and fast. There is no surprise when dealing with this place. They are straight shooters and won't do stuff to you car until they talk to you and give you a total out the door. They don't try to pressure into fixing stuff that is not broke. Recently my Hundai Santa Fe was fixed by them. After I got it back it was doing some of the same stuff as before they fixed it but check engine light was not on. I brought it back and Tonya was really helpful. She kept it for about a week and her and the technicians drove it to try to get it to do what it was doing. They called me every day they recommended leaving it with them to keep trying- unfortunately the darn car never pulled any check engine light and they were not able to get it to do what it did to me. My point is that they tried everything they did not just blow me off. I picked it up over a week now it hasn't done that agin but Tanya said if it does just bring it back - Ok here's the deal I've had many cars and mechanics and I never felt that they were being straight with me. It's refreshing when you get good service and people really give a crap. So that's why you get 5 stars from me ! Needed some auto repair done on my 2002 Toyota Sequoia. Have been delaying a couple of weeks because I was dreading how much it would cost. Breaks and engine work plus a oil change were some things that needed to be done on my car. I always hold my breath when I turn in a car for repairs. Check engine light on. Today I went here to find out why my 20 year F-150 service engine light was on. I knew it had a bad gas cap which I replaced but the light stayed on after several days of driving. I have been coming here for years because they are fair and honest. Anyway they checked the code and turned it off and said it was an evaporative emission issue. So far the light is staying off. I was there for 5 minutes and it didn't cost me a penny.
