    A Kickass vegan dessert
    Story C.

Hey, this place is excellent!, wife and I were very glad to Finally get out to the new location at Woodside Mill! Before I begin, it's a small thing, but it's really easy parking at the mill. I didn't exactly know what to expect, but it's really easy. This place is great, I strongly recommend it and will be coming back as often as I can. The vibe is casual and yet, somehow also upscale. The ambiance is great, and most importantly, the people working there are great. We sat at the bar ordering drinks and food for a couple hours, and had amazing friendly service the whole time. Shoutout to Eric the bartender, who is as friendly as amazing at making drinks. I want to come back for happy hour, which looked really good. Also, he let us sample wines and such we hadn't seen before, such a nice touch Quite simply, the food was excellent, tons of actually great vegan and normal food alike. Our favorite things were the cocktails, which were amazing, the mains, and the vegan dessert (which is pictured). Lastly, the value for what you get is really good. Very affordable for high quality food/Bev/ambiance experience! Can't wait to come back, lucky to have a spot like this in GVL.

I am new to the neighborhood and couldn't recommend this place more. Want a place that you feel like home without having nagging parents & sensational food? Come to woodside bistro!!! My personal fav for food is brunch & happy hour menus!! I also haven't ever had a bad drink there in my multiple visits!

Catfish & shrimp, Mac & cheese and collard greens...delicious (I wish I took one to go)

Came from out of town to visit family and Woodside Bistro was highly recommended. It did not disappoint! Fun & unique venue at an old Mill with the smoke stack & silo still up outside. There is outdoor dining if you choose! The food is what stands out....fresh, flavorful and plenty full! Service was good considering a little understaffed that night! The back of house staff pitched it! I highly recommend checking Woodside Bistro, thank me later!

I had brunch today with two of my siblings and two of my nieces. It was a group choice to try Woodside Bistro. It's located in west Greenville at the old Woodside Mill, that has also been turned into lofts. There are plenty of places to park, depending on what time you go. People that live at the lofts share the same parking lot. Lunch is served Monday through Friday, and brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday. You seat yourself when you go in, high ceilings, concrete floors, rustic looking tables with chairs, booths, and tables with seats and a booth together, booths could use some padded seats. A nice sized full bar with stools was on one side of the restaurant, and some really nice art work was on the walls. After looking at the menu I decided on the Woodstar, it comes with two eggs(your way), bacon or sausage, grits or fruit. I got my eggs scrambled, bacon and lemonade to drink. The pancake was ok, it had slightly salty taste to it, the bacon was crispy. The grits weren't runny, but they were lumpy, with lumps that had stuck to the pot(I cook grits and know what that looks like and how to keep it from happening). The brunch entrees are $15.00, the total cost of my meal was $19.38, there is a 4% charge for using a card as payment. Nice atmosphere the server was very friendly, but the food was only ok to me, just standard breakfast food, it was nice to spend time with family.

A compilation of the two trips it took to have one lunch at Woodside Bistro. A few weeks back we tried for a Friday lunch and pulled up to find the place locked up- no sign, just closed. Called to make sure they were open this time, and the person said they're "never closed on Friday unless we run out of food". So, it's one thing to cause an inconvenience, and another to deny it. Today's visit would have been four stars on its own. I had the French Dip (Braised Short Rib, Caramelized Onions, Havarti Cheese, A1 Aioli, Grilled Hoagie- $16) because I'd heard from several folks how good it is. Meat was cooked perfectly, juicy and quite flavorful. Beware if you don't like a lot of sodium, the au jus is quite salty. Both of my colleagues had the Club Salad (Ham, Turkey, Boiled Egg, Bacon, Cucumber, Tomato, Cheddar Cheese- $18), one with iceberg lettuce due to a spinach sensitivity. He commented that the quantity of protein was half of what it had been on a previous visit. The restaurant is located on the back side of the mill, with parking on both sides, but not immediately adjacent to the restaurant. We'll certainly be back to give it another go.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a FOODIE!!! Lol. Woodside Bistro in Greenville is a cute, eccentric little restaurant that has great food! The cocktails are good, the food is great and the service is excellent!!! You should definitely check it out if you're ever in G'Ville.

The experience was made even better by Rui, our server. Flawless service--attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly in tune with the pacing of the meal. Rui made what was already an incredible dinner feel effortless and personal. An outstanding experience from start to finish.

It is found tucked behind the building with only a small, letter-sized paper sign marking the entrance. No flashy signage, no obvious storefront, which adds to the appeal if you're into that kind of hunt. Walking up to it late at night can be a little intimidating but it is well lit which I greatly appreciated! Once inside, the space is dimly lit and small, which makes for a genuinely intimate setting. I'd say it's good for a quieter, more conversational vibe rather than a loud night out. We went with the bartender's choice: pick a base liquor, then two words to describe what you're after. I went with vodka and "slightly sweet, refreshing," for $18. The bartender nailed the brief but it wasn't a drink I'd think about again or specifically order by name. Solid execution, forgettable flavor. Service was the real standout. Our bartender was excellent at walking us through the concept and translating vague requests into something that actually worked. That, plus the atmosphere, is enough to bring me back to see what else is on the menu since we made it there just in time for last call so I ended up only having one drink.

Such a fantastic location, on the corner of McBee Ave. The building and setting is gorgeous inside and outside seating. Both very large areas that would be awesome for evenings out. I'll be sure to come back for that. I chose outside for the nice breeze out with lots of umbrella's for shade. I always feel cold inside restaurants and didn't have a sweater.. so I chose one of the long marble top tables outside. There is also a big tv for game viewing in a fully covered corner area. The bar opens up so it's accessible whether seated inside or out (photos). The menu has great choices. I had done my research beforehand since I was on a time crunch and ordered the roast beef melt.. which came with fries and au jus that was amazing!! I added a side of steamed oysters.. perfection!! These came with horseradish, cocktail sauce, red wine vinegar and oil for dipping. I ended my meal with creme brûlée that was better than one's I've had in Paris. It was topped with a perfect layer of flamed sugar, fresh assortment of fruit in whipped creme + a tiny crown of mint. The creme brûlée had a hint of lemon, making it over the top delicious. Austin B. Was my server and he was amazing. Really a great dining experience and with food being that amazing for lunch.. work felt like a vacation! I had the Up In the Air. I'm more sensitive to sweetness than most, so even though our waiter said it wasn't particularly sweet, I asked them to cut the sweetness further and they accommodated it without issue. My friend had the Ginger's Have More Fun, made with their own house ginger liqueur instead of ginger beer. It wasn't overly syrupy, but the syrup notes were present enough to undercut what could've otherwise been a more refreshing drink. We split the Nacho Average Nachos. It was great for picking at while we chatted and had a good concept, with a solid mix of pickled toppings, rich queso, and protein, and chips that held up fine (no sogginess). The execution didn't rise above the idea. It was a fine, forgettable plate rather than a memorable one. Good portion for two, though. Overall, a nice spot for golden hour drinks if you're already in the area, but not somewhere I'd make a specific trip for.
