Because of its popularity, I highly suggest making a reservation before you go. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and pays great attention to detail to help elevate the entire experience. The food is truly amazing! If you're looking for recommendations, some of my absolute favorites were Steak Pinchos, Dumplings, and Scallops. To top it all off, we closed the evening with an amazing chocolate cake. Their custom cocktails are absolutely delicious, and they also feature an extensive wine menu. If you are in Greenville, this spot is an absolute must-visit!

What made it special wasn't complexity--it was simplicity done at an high level. Sitting with a view of the chefs preparing each dish added a layer of we'll we talked with them and the folks serving that made the entire evening. I've realized my palate leans toward something different--unique menus, bold but balanced flavors, and an atmosphere that feels intentional. Camp delivered on all three. We ordered: * Artisan cheese plate * Crispy lion's mane * Grilled octopus Each dish was thoughtful, clean, and memorable without trying too hard. The experience was made even better by Rui, our server. Flawless service--attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly in tune with the pacing of the meal. Rui made what was already an incredible dinner feel effortless and personal. An outstanding experience from start to finish.

It is found tucked behind the building with only a small, letter-sized paper sign marking the entrance. No flashy signage, no obvious storefront, which adds to the appeal if you're into that kind of hunt. Walking up to it late at night can be a little intimidating but it is well lit which I greatly appreciated! Once inside, the space is dimly lit and small, which makes for a genuinely intimate setting. I'd say it's good for a quieter, more conversational vibe rather than a loud night out. We went with the bartender's choice: pick a base liquor, then two words to describe what you're after. I went with vodka and "slightly sweet, refreshing," for $18. The bartender nailed the brief but it wasn't a drink I'd think about again or specifically order by name. Solid execution, forgettable flavor. Service was the real standout. Our bartender was excellent at walking us through the concept and translating vague requests into something that actually worked. That, plus the atmosphere, is enough to bring me back to see what else is on the menu since we made it there just in time for last call so I ended up only having one drink.

While in town, I made sure to be the first diner to walk in! I had purposed to come to Greenville…read moreto try STIR restaurant. They have it all ready to go at 11am! Such a fantastic location, on the corner of McBee Ave. The building and setting is gorgeous inside and outside seating. Both very large areas that would be awesome for evenings out. I'll be sure to come back for that. I chose outside for the nice breeze out with lots of umbrella's for shade. I always feel cold inside restaurants and didn't have a sweater.. so I chose one of the long marble top tables outside. There is also a big tv for game viewing in a fully covered corner area. The bar opens up so it's accessible whether seated inside or out (photos). The menu has great choices. I had done my research beforehand since I was on a time crunch and ordered the roast beef melt.. which came with fries and au jus that was amazing!! I added a side of steamed oysters.. perfection!! These came with horseradish, cocktail sauce, red wine vinegar and oil for dipping. I ended my meal with creme brûlée that was better than one's I've had in Paris. It was topped with a perfect layer of flamed sugar, fresh assortment of fruit in whipped creme + a tiny crown of mint. The creme brûlée had a hint of lemon, making it over the top delicious. Austin B. Was my server and he was amazing. Really a great dining experience and with food being that amazing for lunch.. work felt like a vacation! Hope you go eat at STIR in Greenville.. so worth your time and convenience when dining downtown.

I thought it was odd start and really packed the table with things we didn't know we'd need 'House oysters' were filthy. Muck, grit, shell in them. I have never seen such a thing except when I tried to DIY oysters for the first time. Everyone ran out of drinks (alcohol and water) and we were never refilled. Food came to the table but we were missing sides, a main, and a sweet tea ordered 45 minutes prior. Absolutely atrocious service and really underwhelming food.

I had the Up In the Air. I'm more sensitive to sweetness than most, so even though our waiter said it wasn't particularly sweet, I asked them to cut the sweetness further and they accommodated it without issue. My friend had the Ginger's Have More Fun, made with their own house ginger liqueur instead of ginger beer. It wasn't overly syrupy, but the syrup notes were present enough to undercut what could've otherwise been a more refreshing drink. We split the Nacho Average Nachos. It was great for picking at while we chatted and had a good concept, with a solid mix of pickled toppings, rich queso, and protein, and chips that held up fine (no sogginess). The execution didn't rise above the idea. It was a fine, forgettable plate rather than a memorable one. Good portion for two, though. Overall, a nice spot for golden hour drinks if you're already in the area, but not somewhere I'd make a specific trip for.

Dennis & Logan are two of the dopest bartenders out there who also know how to make a killer drink. I love coming here for Dennis' expert take on an old fashioned, which he has spent a lot of time and effort refining. And I don't kid when I say that this is Greenville's best old fashioned. The attitude behind the bar is very laidback, which will likely offput people expecting a pretentious, posh atmosphere. But if you want a drink made by people who care about what goes in your glass, trust me, pay Rey's a visit.

One bartender (with a nose piercing) yelled at my brother-in-law for placing a small piece of paper behind the bar because there was no trash can near the dart area. When my brother asked if he would have preferred it be thrown on the floor, the bartender replied, "Actually, yes." It was a clear no-win situation. The overall tone from the staff felt aggressive and confrontational. Another bartender (with longer hair) made a comment to our group saying, "If that bitch blows her whistle again," using derogatory language toward women in our party. That level of disrespect is unacceptable. Because of the staff's behavior, we took our entire group, and our business, elsewhere and will not be returning. This experience left a very bad impression, and management should be aware of how their bartenders are representing the establishment.
