This place is a joke! No communication from dentists working there. The receptionist left her personality at home! They bring in dentists that could be out of network with your current insurance even though they say they take your insurance. No communication at all just money hungry. The level of dental care is great. The office is clean and welcoming. I had a few fillings done and I'm one that does not like "surprise bills" I always pay upfront before I go into have anything done. I received a bill months after stating that I owed over 200.00. As I "ran out of insurance coverage for the year". A week later I received a collections letter. Are you kidding me? When you take a car to the dealership for service and pay for it, the dealership does not call you months later and say, "oh by the way, you owe us more money" for something that you have already paid for. I'm not going to even get into the amount of times I've shown up for an appointment that they "cancelled" on me. I will not be returning to Sullivan dental. read more

Stay away from this fraudulent practice. They treated my son in early September. 3 weeks later they treated my daughter. 3 months later they treated my wife. By "treated", I mean routine cleanings, nothing extra. They waited until after our 3rd visit to tell us that they are not in network with Aetna, and insurance would not be covering our visits. They in fact knew this before the 2nd treatment. I asked the secretary, Andre Sullivan (immediate family to the dentists), why they wouldn't mention that to us before the 2nd or 3rd treatment. He was immediately rude and hid behind a very lengthy contract they make all patients sign. Regardless of the contract, what they did to us, and likely to countless other patients, is illegal. In the spirit of fairness, I offered to pay in full for the 1st visit and our standard copay for visits 2 and 3. Instead of understanding our position, or making any effort at a fair resolution, Andre immediately threatened to send our account to collections if we didn't pay within 7 days! My wife and I have perfect credit and pay all of our bills so this was very surprising and unprofessional. Andre's response was so petty and bizarre I can only speculate the practice is in a dire financial position. There is really no other explanation for treating patients this way, when the practice was clearly at fault. Only when we started filing valid complaints with the state of Massachusetts, did they come to their senses. It's sad that's what it took for them to do the right thing. I would never think about doing business with this place again. If they attempted to pull a scam like this on you, I highly recommend you reach out to the state of Massachusetts, and file a formal complaint. Also, the 50-60 year old woman at the front desk is so rude it is appalling. If you read other google reviews, you will see other people note this, as well as the scam they repeatedly perpetrate by treating patients when they know insurance won't cover it. read more

This place, the staff, and Dr. Sullivan are a hidden jewel that far exceeded my expectations for a Dighton practice. I found them by googling dentist in Dighton, and I cannot say enough good things. I've been twice, and will definitely keep Dr. Sullivan and her team. The staff are friendly and professional. My cleaning was a bit faster than I was used to, but the hygienist and Dr. Sullivan both performed a neck/mouth cancer screening. The equipment is brand new and modern. They are clean. THEY WASHED THEIR HANDS IN FRONT OF ME . Now the cherry on top, are you ready? I just left from having two fillings done, and i DIDNT FEEL A THING! No, not even a pinch with the shots. Everything was fine until I needed to have a front tooth replaced. First, Dr. Sullivan referred me to the wrong doctor in a practice that would be removing the tooth and placing the implant. This cost me $150 out of pocket and wasted time. I wasn't told to make an appointment to have impressions made for the temp "flipper" before the tooth was removed; much to the surprise of the oral surgeon. It took 8 days to get a 15 minute appointment to have the impression made. I was told that it would take two weeks and cost $1041. It cost the lab $50 to make it. The lab marks it up to $100-150 and the dentist decides what to mark it up to after that. I just wanted it done so I didn't complain and paid a deposit. 2 1/2 weeks later, I was told to come back and have new impressions made. At this point I had about had it and I asked for an appointment when Dr Sullivan was in the office so I could tell her what's going on and hoped she would at least put a rush on it and maybe credit me the money I had to pay out of pocket for the negligent referral. At the time of the appointment, I was up to a month without a front tooth. I laid it all out to her as I've said here. I didn't yell or swear, though I'm sure she could tell I wasn't happy and in fact embarrassed by my missing front tooth. She offered only to take the impressions and ask the lab to maybe get it done in a week or refund my money. They took some rushed impressions to get me out of the office (I guess) and the next day another Dr Sullivan called me and told me we've refunded your money and you should find a new dentist (not the $150 though). Thankfully I was able to get an appointment the next day, will have impressions on the following Monday, and should have the partial by Wednesday for $375. I really wish I hadn't wasted so much time with Sullivan Dental. Side note: the secretary was awesome. She was the one who had to deliver the bad news about the impressions and had to hear me rant about the service, though I tried to make it clear that I didn't believe that any of this was any fault of hers. She had me laughing before I hung up the phone. read more

Hi, I am 47 years young and i have been scared of my dental appointments since i was my sons age:) Dr. Sullivan put me at ease as she worked so lightly in my mouth during my cleaning, I could not believe it. The office also has a Zen like feel about the place. (Barn doors, high ceilings, and tonnes of light) Once you step in, the colours, the decor and the staff make you feel welcome. Terrible absolutely terrible the staff was overall very rude and the dentist that was working on my six year old little sisters cleaning rescheduled 3 times due to her kept saying that she doesn't have time for this as my six year old sister is crying in the chair. But on to me i got braces and after having them for about a six months i kept braking brackets so we added stoppers so i wouldn't breakithem and they worked but then they wore down and i kept telling him i need them built back up but Dr sullivan kept telling me i didn't then when i would come back with broken brackets he would yell at me and blame me for breaking them. After that i went in October 2019 and scheduled and appointment for a month later and he kept postponing the visit for four months then when i finally get back in in late february he told me that he thinks we should just take them off because we lost 4 months due to my broken brackets after he kept postponing and was being overall very cocky about the whole situation that's when me and my mom and my little sister left and we will NEVER go back to sullivan family dental and my only regret is that i have to give one star cause that's one more then they deserve for what they put us through. read more

I am normally totally freaked about going to the dentist and I am crazed when I am trying a new place. I had received some info in the mail about a new practice opening in my hometown and my regular dentist sold his Taunton practice so I was needing somewhere new anyhow. Today was my first appointment and I was totally blown away! First of all, if Dr. Sullivan ever decided to give up the practice she could go into interior design, the place is spectacular. It was rustic, yet modern, and immaculate. The Pandora station they had playing on the sound system was dope too.... Amanda at the desk was awesome, friendly, funny, professional, and made me feel at home right away. Ashley (sp?) was my hygienist and she was top notch. I dig that she is from town and that was only one of the things that put me at ease. She was nice, GENTLE, knowledgable, and thorough. I was HAPPY to rebook with her! I will start w. my review of Sullivan's care for my son. Had my mother bring him to a cleaning, only to receive a call to ensure she had the right time, as she waited 30+ mins for appt. Approx. 45 mins after his scheduled appt received text "he's in." SIX mins later receive text "polishing." So she waited almost an hour for a 6 min cleaning. I'm sure his teeth were cleaned really well in 6 mins. Next, I was told I'd be getting a "teeny tiny filing in a small anatomical groove" to avoid a cavity (not even a real filing). I was not informed I'd have a copay & assumed I wouldn't, as in 30 yrs w. Delta Dental I've never paid a copay even for a real filing. At checkout, I had a $30 copay, paid it. A month later received a bill for an additional $42.00. I called to inquire & was told that my insurance "took their $ back." I was never informed there would be a copay but did not argue & paid that $30. Then to be told I need to pay for something my insurance "did not cover," when I've been getting filings FULLY covered my entire life is absolutely outrageous. The payment for the procedure should have been explained to the patient PRIOR to performing it. I never signed a thing stating I'd pay for this "teeny tiny filing to avoid a cavity." Sullivan has been my dentist since they opened here in Dighton. What a horrible mistake it was to switch to a conveniently located dentist. When I called to ask about the additional $42 and stated I was not willing to pay it, she should adjust it, as it was never explained to me & I already paid what they initially told me my responsibility was, the girl just said nonchalantly, "K, we'll just sent it to collections!" Great. I would rather pay a collection agency than pay this woman for lack of time, care/concern for myself and my son. My entire family has fired her & I would highly recommend not being tricked into going to this new little dentist in a quaint town because from the outside it appears nice and its a new building. The entire staff is rude, unprofessional and selfish. STAY AWAY from Sullivan "family!" read more
