I had no complaints about my room, it had a great view and it was clean. I really loved the location because it was super close to the Jacksonville library which is where I needed to mainly be during this trip. I also got a chance to walk around near the river and it was a great little loop. The Iron man was preparing for their weekend right by this hotel so it was ideal for those participants to stay here, as well. I really loved how close it was to a super cute park-- if you have kids, definitely take them here because it was a kid's park dream. The staff was nice and I also liked how they had a marketplace lil shop downstairs right outside of the elevator that was open 24 hours. Overall, I think this hotel is a great spot to stay in Jax!

The conference room we were in did not have a properly functioning air conditioner so we were a bit uncomfortable. Request a room with a lake view.

Comfort is another plus and the bed is the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in and the room feels like a condo rather than a plain and dingy ol' hotel room. Lots of natural light makes its way into the room. It is VERY modern and everything pretty much new ij the room and there is an emphasis on being eco-friendly which I like. The only negative I have is there is some noise from the road depending on what side you're on and there is an amphitheater nearby as well with music events. Cool but can be a little noisy. Nothing earplugs can't fix though and it isn't nightly. Check it out! It's a great place to stay.

The reviews list it as a 4star hotel. It is really giving 2 star motel. The room was very antiquated. The 1970s arm chair was stained and filthy. It looked like a thrift store purchase. The carpet could stand to be shampooed or replaced. The room was not equipped with a microwave or mini fridge. They had vending machines on each floor that contain nothing but sold out pop and and an ice machine. In the lobby was a snack area where a bag of small size doritos were 6.00. I had no hot water my entire stay. It was very noisy. All night long you could hear the heavy old fashion doors slam. The heater in my room smelled like a hair blow dryer that was about to give out. It was also very loud and took a long time to heat the space. Parking is also a little expensive $30 a day to self park. Considering it is attached to the hotel you would think this would be complimentary to your stay. Staff was very pleasant. The lobby decor was ok and the view was nice. Those are the only compliments I can give. I enjoy The Hilton portfolio but would NEVER stay at this location again. I just expected more from a 4-star hotel. P.s. The bathrooms were in need of some TLC, the shower doors were cheaply replaced with bars within the shower door frames. The hallways and elevator had the worst scents and the thermostat never worked properly. I had to request extra comforters to sleep through the night of the thin walls and hearing the people next door having sex. I really feel bad for the staff working here because honestly they were all very sweet and attentive. Whatever requests I had, the quickly obliged. I was even given a room by the water to watch the nice yacht. Thanks to Anne especially, she is a gem.

Every morning we came down for the complimentary breakfast and I must say, they have a good variety of breakfast options. I noticed an excellent detail by the elevators on our hallway, the hotel provided a trash can, a recycling bin for paper, a bin for can recycling, but they did not provide a can to recycle plastic. That would be great to have. The surface light bulb in the kitchen was out. One of the pots was clean but with dirty dry stains of food on it. We filled out a list for the grocery services and after 6 or 8 hours, the front desk told us they weren't going to be able to get groceries for us. It's ok. There were many places near by to get food and groceries. Overall, we felt good and most importantly friendly staff and clean. We will definitely recommend this place. Thank you Homewood Suites. The lobby also has a little mini market with some various snacks, drinks (including beers and wine) and sundries at reasonable prices. The location is pretty good too, within a short distance of restaurants, venues, etc. If we ever have a need to return to Jacksonville we will probably stay here again.
