I usually love this place! I have been coming for years and recommended my girlfriends come visit. The initial woman who greeted us immediately was not happy we had dogs but they were service. We ordered food and drinks etc. one of our dogs did quietly whine and the same woman came over and sternly said we had to leave if she kept whining. There were less than 15 people there, it wasn't loud, and it seemed super over the top to ask us to leave for that. Love places that offer a flight and the cashier was super helpful with providing recommendations based on m preferences Now the food.....HOLY MOLY! I loved this place. Came here on a Friday at 4:30 with ten gals and easily got a table - it sure got packed shortly after. They had an almost full bar available with fun cocktails which I appreciated as not a huge beer gal. I got a N/A beer as I wasn't drinking, which was good, but of course with not drinking I was banking on the food being good. And the food... was GOOD. Honestly, the whole menu looked fab. Our bday girl is a vegetarian so we got an array of cauliflower wings for the table - both buffalo and Korean - and the Korean wings were amazing (with that chunky blue cheese on the side). This place is located in a small shopping plaza that frankly looks abandoned so I never realized the gem that was nestled here, Woodstock Brewery. Stopped in on my way to camping to grab a burger and I got a random brew that was pinkish in color and man it was so tasty!! They don't have traditional waiter service but that doesn't mean be stingy and skimp on the tip. Tipping here isn't like Starbucks where they ask for tips just for doing the job they get paid for. The staff here does bring you your food as well as clean up after you so if you tend to be a slob make sure you tip appropriately because I'm sure your adorable mom doesn't work there to clean up after you. They offer indoor seating where you'll get air conditioning or you can sit outside in whatever outdoor temps are the day of your visit. A little bunny was hopping around the grounds. So cute. The smokeless fire pit is a nice touch. The bartender could have been a bit friendlier, but she seemed to cheer up after we gave her a few smiles and engaged her in conversation, as if we were the ones welcoming her and working there. Some people probably just shouldn't work in the service industry. Beer was cold, but glass was warm. I assume they were warm because they were just cleaned or maybe just because they were sitting in the sun...?? Either way, no to warm glasses with cold beer. That can use improvement. Minus points because the classic mild chicken wings were lazy - just unseasoned wings tossed in Frank's RedHot sauce. Maybe the other kinds of wings would've been better. We each ordered a flight and a full pour. Of the sixteen or so beers on tap, we were able to try a good portion of them. They were all good, but none that were truly outstanding to us. We ordered the Thai chicken sandwich and smash burgers, and both were very good. I will say I was surprised at the overall price. Two flights, two full pours, and cheeseburger and fries and a chicken sandwich and fries came to $87.12. With standard 20% tip it was $104.54. 4.5 stars Woodstock Brewing was located at the corner of a small strip mall on one of the main roads in the Catskills. The modern space offered a huge indoor dining area and bar, as well as an outdoor lawn with picnic tables. Since it was in a shopping center, there was easy parking available as well. In terms of the drinks, they had a bunch of beers on tap, cans available for take-out, and a full bar offering custom and standard cocktails. We decided to order a tasting flight of 4 beers, so that we could try a few of their brews. The ones that we sampled included the: 1.) Raspberry Gose - perfect balance of fruit and sourness, but a bit watery and lacking body 2.) Mean Charlene Fruited Gose - DELICIOUS! Loved the amount of sourness and the tropical fruit flavor, which came from pineapple, mango, passion fruit, and key lime 3.) Balloon Ranger IPA - not noted as a hazy IPA, but certainly presented as one. Good body and notes of citrus. 4.) Endless Cycle IPA - a pretty standard IPA that was enjoyable and super hoppy. It had a good body and mouth feel, as well as notes of pineapple and the slightest hint of citrus Unlike most other breweries, they also had their own kitchen. So, we enjoyed the flight with a basket of salty Tortilla Chips and Chunky Salsa/Pico de Gallo. We enjoyed the snack so much that we decided to stay at the brewery for lunch. I ordered 2 tacos, selecting both the Brussel Sprouts and the Smoked Chicken varieties. I was not a fan of the vegan one, which was oily and contained what was more like pureed sprouts. The chicken one, on the other hand, was excellent! The tender chicken had been marinated in a sauce of their Tenth Decibel stout and seasoned with cumin, oregano, garlic, and Aji Panca. The poultry had been smoked and pulled before being placed in the corn tortilla. The chicken was just so intensely flavorful! My dining companion thought his dual-patty Smash Burger was outstanding, though the accompanying thickly-cut fries were rather greasy. No, no, no- I will not drink beer in this lifetime- but lately, I've been giving hubs his flowers for digging deep in menus that not only showcase their beer- but also have a banging eating menu. And Woodstock Brewing on Route 28 in Phoenicia, made the mark. This is no tiny operation. The folks who realized their love for beer turned this place slick. Weather was gorgeous sans humidity the Saturday late afternoon we came and sitting outside called for it. With that, came putting your order at the outside bar and meals brought to you. Unless you're getting a cold one which you can just wait on the spot. Hubs loved his Woodstock Lager and felt it was interesting and refreshing and my Spicy Margarita knocked me real good. I felt the strength and the heat. So much heat- I had to ask for some simple sugar to balance everything. Hubs loves his burger hooked up to the nines and my Buffalo Cauliflower 'wings' were outrageously great. These are addictive- even if you're a meat eater. The batter was heavenly-soft. Loved the casual vibe of the outdoor area (although I can see how flies might be a problem). Not a beer connoisseur but had a citrusy wheat beer and thought it was refreshing and tasty. I thought the food would be the usual mid bar food, but happy to say I was wrong. The onion rings were crispy and light, with big strings of sweet onion. I don't like ketchup with onion rings, so another sauce choice would have been appreciated. But these were obviously fried with care. And the taquitos blew me away with their goodness. I AM a taquito connoisseur and have had plenty of disappointing ones. These were PERFECT. Stuffed a little fuller with chicken than many, the shells were uber crunchy, the tomatillo salsa they were swimming was super flavorful with just the right amount of heat, and the crema and iceberg lettuce the perfect finishing touches. I'm so glad that I finally had the opportunity to stop and check out Woodstock brewing. It was the perfect pit stop on my way up to the Catskills. Conveniently located and parking is a breeze. As a solo guest traveling with a dog, it was challenging to order food and beverage. I sat outside, but the outside bar didn't have service so you had to walk inside. Despite that, you can't beat enjoying a beer and food outside in the garden. There's plenty of seating options, tables, Adirondack chairs and a rock garden; some areas more shaded than others so it's perfect for everyone. All of the tables have umbrellas as well. read more

Drove past here on our way to Rail Explorers yesterday so we figured we'd stop here for dinner. Something about the open glass garage doors made it really welcoming, however, for the customers inside, it wasn't so fun when a car pulled up with bright headlights shining directly in. Regardless, we proceeded to sit inside. The hostess said we could be seated anywhere. We ordered the Cauliflower Wings with Korean BBQ sauce to share. They were incredible and each piece was coated with the perfect amount of sauce to where it wasn't messy to eat. I also asked for a small order of fries. They were cold when they came out. When we go up to the Catskills area we usually try to make a stop by Woodstock Brewing. We usually are in the area in the summer where you can order some beers and some food. You will order at the counter and the staff will bring out the food to your table number. Not sure what brews to pick, they have descriptions of each on tap or feel free to ask any of the employees. They can give suggestions based off what you tell them you normally like to consume. If you can't decide on one or want to try a few, you can also order a flight for yourself or to share if you don't want too much. They also have really good food options to help soak up the alcohol. The outdoor seating is great in the summer. They do have indoor seating as well if you prefer indoors. We always had a pleasant experience with the staff. A must stop in the Catskills. Woodstock Brewing has everything you need. Great beer, food, and outdoor space. My first visit was Summer 2020. I tried the Thai Fried Chicken Sandwich and coupled it with their Baby Dragon beer. Highly recommend this combo. For the next visit in March 2021, because we wanted to sit outside, we braved the chilly elements and sat on their patio. Woodstock Brewing has a few Solo Stove firepits, but unfortunately, they didn't have them going. We put on our beer blankets and some mittens and survived alright. We also grabbed a few canned 4 packs to go to enjoy at home. For the most recent visit, December 2021, we sat inside - ordering some light food and a few drinks. I'd say their food menu is equally as impressive as their beer menu. I had the Spicy Chicken Soup and found it warming on a cool day. It wasn't too spicy thankfully.
