We got Woodstock's pizza for a gathering and it was really good. I'm not familiar with Woodstock's, but I've heard about their pizzas from the wife who's an Aggie so she's had her share of Woodstock's. Since we didn't dine it, can't really speak of the ambiance, but the service was efficient and friendly. The meat choices were the Davis Classic pizza (Pepperoni, Sausage, Mushrooms, Olives, and Onions) and the Bacon and Onion so I got one of each. There was also a vegetarian one, the Pesto Primavera with pesto sauce, broccoli, artichoke hearts, sliced red onions and fresh tomatoes that was really loaded. And a vegan one that was mostly cheese with some veggies, I think it was the Woody's TGB (Tomato, Garlic, Basil). I didn't try the 2 meatless ones. All in all, the pizzas were tasty, fresh, the crust wasn't too thick, it was interesting that they fold over the edge and that's the crust. The sauce was good too and the Davis Classic pizza and the vegetarian pizza were loaded, but the Bacon and Onion was a bit lacking and a bit dry. I can see why this pizza spot is so popular! My niece lives and works in Davis and recommended Woodstock as the place to meet her for dinner. Since, I live in Los Angeles, it's best to leave it to the locals who know the good spots. I let her do the ordering, since I am not too picky and wiling to try new things. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful--I was checked on multiple times, and the level of attentiveness was spot on without being overbearing. Stopped in on a Monday evening for a quick bite. The line for pizza by the slice was out the door. On Mondays they have a special if you buy a large pizza you get a free large cheese pizza. As a vegan gf person I always have to get my own pie, and then have tons of leftovers. Went here on a rec from a friend and it was so worth it. Definitely sign up for their rewards, we easily racked up $100 with our group and got a reward which we promptly used to order more as more people arrived. Loved that they have outdoor seating. I found the service system to be fine and it was not too long a wait even on a game day weekend. Our first impression of the restaurant was that it was a nicely decorated college bar and restaurant. There a small arcade section in the back of the restaurant, The restrooms were clean. We ordered an XL half All-Meat, half Club pizza, a large cinnabread, and fountain drinks. The pizza was really good! They put pizza sauce in the crust which was a tasty surprise. The cinnabread was delicious and not too sweet. Now the service was pretty disappointing. As we were enjoying our food, the restaurant became noticeable more busy. A waitress came up and asked us if we were planning on leaving within the next hour because there was a reservation coming in. My parents were completely shocked that they would even come up to ask us. It came off as really rude and as if they were trying to get us to leave. Oh the joy in my nostalgia-driven heart when I stopped by here on a recent visit back to Davis. Woodstocks pizza is served by the slice and is as tasty as it was when I enjoyed this in my collegiate era. The slices are big, and so I had to cut them in half for my little ones. Their formula is super simple if you order by the slice - cheese, pepperoni, or mushroom slices are available and that's what we ordered. If you'd like a custom pie, they serve those as well. We got lemon pepper and buffalo wings and they were incredible. We then played pinball with the kiddos in the back and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! It's always interesting to come across something great that is already known to be great by so many and this is one such place! Great pizza, great vibes in a great town! The family and I were wanting some late night pizza (which we often do) and I remember wanting to try this place out after passing by it by mistake one night while hanging out in the area. We were leaving from Vallejo around 9 in the evening but they stay open late (which is a great feature of restaurants in college towns.) The young lady that took our order was very helpful and patient (it took a moment to figure out what we wanted.) They have a pretty large menu with a good variety of options including dessert pizzas. This place has an open layout with a good mix of booths and table seating, they also have a nice bar and upstairs seating. Near the back of the bar area there's a clear view of the kitchen if you're interested in the magic of pizza making. While waiting for your order or if you're feeling a little competitive after some pizza and or drinks they have a small arcade area with games and pinball machines. The evening we went there was a mixed crowd of folks including families, college kids and older couples. The pizza came out hot and was delicious! We ordered their all meat pizza, a cheese pizza and a dessert pizza. We probably ate more than we needed to in one sitting but it was that good! Woodstocks has been in Davis for quite a while now and offers a great pizza with a decent variety of options. I love the dessert pizza, and also their savory pizzas. Because of the busy weekend, they ran out of most of the fountain drinks and beer, which was unfortunate because it is what is heavily advertised on their signs. The kicker however, halfway through my meal I noticed a red or blonde hair strand on my plate. My whole party were dark brunettes. The dough is fluffy so I can even eat the crust here; At most places, I throw it away. I also love that they offer dessert pizza because I am a savory AND sweet kind of person. The dessert pizza is just as good as the traditional pizza and I highly recommend giving it a try! It can get very loud with the music and tv and people talking and staff is nice but they get busy as well so sometimes things slip by. Last time I was there for example, almost all of the sodas in the fountain were out of syrup and I was getting seltzer water no matter what I pressed.
