I'm new in town and this place was great! I'm very undeceive specially when trying a new place but the young man at the register was very patient and helpful. There were 2 additional young males in the kitchen and they chimed in and made suggestions. I placed my order and waited. I had my one 1 year old with me and didn't notice she left her toys at the register. They were brought to me by the young man at the register. So when before I tried the food I was very pleased with the service. The food arrived and I was very pleased. All the sides were delicious but the potato salad was my favorite. I ordered the chicken and turkey and they were good. My mom ordered the brisket and sausage and she also really liked her food. I love that they have a free salad bar!! I also ordered some to go brisket for my husband. Also, the ambience is very relaxing. You don't have to dress up or anything. They have both indoor outdoor eating. Dined in with them a few weeks ago. You order at the counter and pick up to take to your table. Decor was good, drinks are fountain so self serve. Food was great. My 89 $$ worth of food did not match the quality of food I got last night (Friday) 3/21 The sliced brisket was dry and curled up and uneatable. The chicken was the same The sausage had a weird texture and taste Being an amateur brisket cooker myself. I know the trials /tribulations of everything coming out has perfect as you can. Food was pretty good. Our table had pulled pork, brisket, ribs. All were tasty. And portions were decent. Stars coming off for service. It took about 30 min to get our food. This was on an uncrowded evening. Also, there were 3 high chairs for kids. All three had broken buckles - that is unacceptable. I love Woody Creek so much I'm having them cater my wedding in 2025! Their meat is very good especially the brisket and pork ribs! I dealt with Brittany when I went in there and she won me over with her smile and good attitude. I got here right when they opened up and the outside patio was very nice especially on a hot day because they have misters set up. I'm not real sure about how this place gets 4 stars. I asked for moist or 1/2 and 1/2 brisket, and I got lean. It was bland, no smoke, no ring, no bark, and no flavor. The sugar bomb bbq sauce is supposed to cover all that up I guess. The bologna was cooked well, but the only flavor was the char. There was actually no flavor at all. The green beans still tasted like the metal of the can they were packed in. My wife got the hamburger. It was cooked beyond to death. You probably could enjoy a hockey puck more. I don't ever think I've used the word "stale" when it came to an onion ring before, but these things must have been sitting around all weekend. They were so disgusting (and I love onion rings), that we had to take them off the burger and could not eat them at all. Really good and consistent bbq. It's never heavy on the bark, but the meat is typically moist and can stand-alone without sauce. They keep the dining area tidy, and the point of sale/ordering system is efficient. You're always greeted with a smile, and if there is ever an error with your order, they go out of their way to make things right. The double barbell baked potato is a must!! Yesterday was our first time and I will say, the food is excellent. I had their baked potato with chopped beef, and they did not skimp on the toppings at all. My wife had the brisket sandwich, and it was a decent size. The flavor was great and if I were only rating the food it would be 5 stars. The restaurant itself was clean. And it had a hole in the wall feel to it. It's a nice change from the corporate feel of chain restaurants. They even have picnic tables for people who want to sit outside. However, the service wasn't the greatest. While the employees weren't flat out rude, they weren't very friendly either. They almost acted as if they didn't want us there. I smiled at them and was very polite, but my gestures were not returned. They could have been having a tough day, or maybe were just tired. I get it. I just wish they had been a little friendlier. We came to Woody Creek about two years ago. It was ok. Nothing to write home about. My husband I and decided to go for lunch. He got the rib dinner and I had their beef sandwich. We sat outside and it was beautiful. Super clean. The ladies at the front were so nice. The ribs were so tender and moist. Super fresh. Not chewy at all. The sandwich was piled high. So much beef! This was my very first time at this restaurant... and I have to say the food did not disappoint. It's a finger food joint .. but you should know that because of BBQ in the name. My husband and I had the ribs, green beans, coleslaw, and onion rings. The sides were good but the ribs were great! The ribs were thick and meaty and I wouldn't be surprise if the meat was from a local farm/butcher as it was nothing like you would get at the supermarket. The BBQ sauce tasted homemade ... nothing like from a processed bottle. I left out 1 star only because no one greeted us when we walked in and there were 3 staff members right there. I didn't know if I was supposed to wait to be seated or seat myself. After several minutes I had to ask how they do things there. Even after placing our order, there was no warm responses from the girl that took our order. The ribs and sauce definitely made up for the lack of customer service. I think this is the original Woody Creek a family owned business. It's been here for more than twenty years. I'm pretty sure there is another Woody Creek Bar-B-Q in Fort Worth. But for sure this one is a gem, active well managed staff moving about the place serving, cooking, cleaning. The food is really good. Springtown is my hometown and I've eaten here many many times.
