Very casual laid back restaurant with a live band playing at night. Lots of TVs to watch different sports. We had the pappy jack sampler with cheese curds, Pork rinds and fried mushrooms. We loved how everything was hot and fresh. Wife had the medium rare steak with mashed potatoes and onion rings. Steak was heavily seasoned with garlic which was nice. I ordered the Gunslinger with tots which was delicious. We finished it all off with a margarita and Shiner bock. All of the flavors for the food were really good and cooked to customer request. The food we received for pick up is was terrible. Not that we only live 3 minutes away. When requesting a refund they gave us the run around and said the manager was not there to issue a refund at 7:00pm on a Saturday. The food was undercooked chicken, cold and flavorless. Hadn't been to this location yet, thought we would try it out. We had a party of 4, all of us ordered something different. The burgers are really good, the Philly is loaded with meat which was fantastic, the chicken tenders were crispy and moist, and the club sandwich was good. Nice portion sizes, reasonable pricing. I've eaten at the Springtown location twice. No problem with the food and the service was actually excellent. I wanted to call to see if I could get a gift card to give to someone. I found two phone numbers for the Springtown location and one for the Decatur location - NONE of which worked. (Also, no website for this restaurant. Giving it a 1* is too much. We're ordered the special which was bacon wrapped pork from the smoker and it was so dry couldn't even finish it, chicken fried chicken that was flattened so much you could barely taste the chicken, Texas Twinkies that were cooked in the outside but they pepper was still crunchy and the steak (was non existent) we pulled it apart and a hair was in it, lastly cheese curds. The workers were very friendly. Just opened in Decatur. I would give grace for that first week. Hamburger steak says "cooked to your liking". My husband asked for medium and got well done. Kids meals are way overpriced. I would say this is an ok place to eat. read more

We went there for the first time with some of our family members. I normally take more pictures, but I didn't this time. I took a picture of the remainder of my salad because both my husband and I were SO DISAPPOINTED with our salads, and I thought I would show what I had left. We went with grandchildren and the reason they got a two is because the children's portions were a good size and they seemed to like them. However, I asked my granddaughter if I could have one of her french fries because they looked so good and when I bit into it, it was cold. I will say that it took a long time for us to get our food and the restaurant wasn't crowded, but being our first time, we really weren't sure what to expect. My granddaughter is young and so to her, cold french fries didn't mean much, but to me, as an adult who knows what to expect, I took half of a bite and knew that it wasn't right. My husband ordered the salad and he would give it a one 1. He knows how to cook and actually prepares most of our meals at home, but we were out of town and so we went there and were unhappily surprised. First, we were surprised at the size of the salad with the cost involved. My husband said he felt the salad was small for the price, and it had very little meat with and maybe half an egg. There were no tomatoes, nor onions, and maybe seven croutons. I think it was $16 and for that price we expected more. He definitely felt the price did not reflect the product. I ordered the "Grilled Chicken Salad" and did get more grilled chicken than he did meat on his salad. I wasn't crazy about the spice they put on it, but I could live with that. I kept noticing that my lettuce didn't taste too yummy and I was having a difficult time finding good pieces of it in there to enjoy. I asked someone that was close by us if I could see the menu when they were through with it and reread it again. The description said they were putting "Spring Mix" in the one I ordered. However, it seemed as if I got the root-end of Romaine Lettuce and not Spring Mix. You could actually take the pieces in my bowl and snap them in half with your hands. It was NOT ENJOYABLE! It also took a long time for us to get our meals and there were not that many people there. We had two children's plates and two salads and it should've not taken the time that it did for us to receive them. I was told they had homemade ranch, but it did not taste like the good homemade ranch I've had at other restaurants. The waitress saw me ask another customer if I could see their menu when they were through and came to our table at that time. I showed her where it said "Spring Mix" in the description for my salad and then showed her what I actually got. She offered us a 10% discount off our meal and said that was all she could do. I believe she took 10% off of our salads. We had our grandchildren with us and so we stayed to let them finish their meals. However, we were VERY DISSATISFIED with our meals and visit there! First visit since it was Fireside Grill and before that Shinola's. Have to say I was disappointed with the food and drinks. Ordered grilled chicken salad, the "grilled" chicken was tough and chewy, croutons were soggy and the ranch dressing was watery. Ordered sweet tea and could not drink it due to the chlorination. Ordered a soft drink which was from a fountain drink machine and there was zero carbonation. My reason for my one star was due to the servers and how well the place has been upgraded/cleaned up. We enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Love the outdoor patio, we have had a group with us or just the two of us .Service was great and friendly. We try to come at least a couple times a month and they have good sports bar food. Heard of people complaining but we have never had a problem. When the waitress listed the daily specials the decision was made - burger baskets and they didn't disappoint. I suggested the Chicken Fried Steak, gravy tasted homemade and not out of a package! Even my husband who isn't a huge fan said it was really good! Only complaint is it was a busy Saturday and we chose to sit on the patio, took 15 mins before someone helped us.
