We placed an order for 6 people to go while visiting the area. We had 3 racks of ribs, one half pound of pulled pork, a pound of Coleslaw, an order of French fries and 2 baked potatoes. Needless to say, there was a Lot of food. Everyone was happy with their meals and everything was still hot when we arrived where we were taking the food to. They supplied 2 small containers of BBQ sauce but we could have used 3. The food was really good although I thought that the pulled pork was a tiny bit dry. The young woman at the front desk was super nice and helpful when taking our order. I would definitely eat here or get food to go again in the future. read more

Reading a lot of 1 star angry reviews...Our party of 6 were seated quickly on a Sunday lunchtime and got our drinks quite quickly. It took a while for our food order to be taken but our server was friendly and courteous. Our entire party ordered the pulled pork sandwich along with some sides. The sandwich exceeded expectations based on previous Yelp reviews I'd read (there weren't too many eating options available in Huntington on a Sunday!) The use of a brioche bun with the pulled pork really worked and the Mac & cheese was good. Coleslaw was fresh. The Fries were standard. The ambience is blue collar which was fine by me. My wife and I decided to try Woodys since we haven't been since the original owners. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience. To begin, our table looked as if it hadn't been cleaned, and if it had, it was done rather poorly... Our waitress, Maddi, was less than friendly, inattentive, and acted as if we were a major inconvenience. Upon asking for a Diet Coke (three times), we received a glass of water...every time. (???) Outside of the water (which we had to get her attention for each time), she did not bother to come back and check on us during our dinner. The food was bland, overpriced, and overcooked. The Americans with Disability Act (ADA) requires that establishments make reasonable accommodations for those with disabilities. Our son has mental disabilities from birth that make the dining experience much more enjoyable for all if he is seated at the end of the table. Three times we have gone to Woody's BBQ in Huntingdon and they have refused to allow him to sit at the end of the table even though there was ample space. Our son has no understanding of the mask mandate nor will he allow a mask on his face. The Governor's mask order has always allowed for a medical exception. The proprietors are not allowed to ask for the medical condition because of HIPAA regulations. The manager would not allow us to walk the twenty feet to the nearest table in violation of ADA and the Governor's order. We would not have passed anywhere near other diners. Despite our love of barbecue, we will not go to Woody's until ownership has changed. read more

My wife and I had dinner here three weeks ago after a 10 year lapse in visits. I can definitely say we had a great all-around experience! Our server was awesome- very friendly and attentive. My wife had the baby back ribs, and I had the sampler. Everything was fresh and tasty, and there was plenty left over for the next day's lunch. Ordered a rodeo burger, medium. Came out well done. Bread was toasted the the extent that it was dry and cut the roof of my mouth. Miniscule side of ore Ida crinkle fries. Went to salt them and nothing came out. That's because they filled the shakers with kosher salt that's too big to fit through the holes in the lid of the shaker. Who does this? In Huntingdon for the night with my wife who is on business and a colleague of hers. My wife said she asked around, as she usually does, about where the locals eat. They all said, "Woody's!". It was a very good suggestion, too. Because their baby back ribs were fantastic. Excellent flavor & falling off the bone. The chicken wings were the big surprise! I don't believe I've ever had wings that crispy before. I've recently started to get my wings dry and get the sauces on the side in an effort to keep my wings crispy. These wings at Woody's were super crispy and hot when they arrived. That combination always makes me happy!! All of the staff were very friendly. That's worth mentioning more so here because I am in rural Pennsylvania and I am a person of color. I wasn't sure how I would be received. I was not treated any differently than anyone else in the place. And that makes me very happy, too. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because the restaurant is visually nondescript. If the sign didn't say Woodys BBQ, you wouldn't know it was a BBQ joint by looking at it walking in. The BBQ definitely speaks for itself, though. I almost forgot to mention the cornbread, made in house, was delicious. Good evening. My family and I went to Delgrosso and came here after going here for 6 years after our annual trip. The food was horrible and cold. By cold there were 18 people in the group and understandably it takes time, but not an hour and a half. We asked for burgers and wings.... All were cold. The appetizers came out at the wrong time. When we asked to speak to a manager she came out and provided several excuses as to why the cooks couldn't handle the party of 18. Although my relative called three hours before and asked about a party of 18. Samantha lied acting like she was just the manager and actually was the owner. This woman clearly does not care about business so she lies to customers. But she did provide a discount of 10% and then also said "we are short staffed and the reason it took so long was because you all asked for burgers. We are short staffed and shouldn't have told y'all we can accept it. I wouldn't feed my dog the garbage they gave me. So then a they took 10% off and said if we don't pay they will call the police. We do a work retreat twice a year or so and always come back to here, the food is delicious and consistent. The wait staff is always very nice and accommodating. It's part of our tradition now and we will continue to do so. I can't speak for the other reviews saying they didn't like their food, but most of us always get the ribs and fried shrimp and some corn bread. One of the worse meals I've had in a long time. I honestly cannot believe the manager allows food to come out like that. I ordered a club sandwich, fries and a soda. It was almost $19. The sandwich had wilted lettuce and no mayo on it. I asked about the mayo and they gave me a couple small packs to put on it myself. So after tearing the sandwich apart and putting the Mayo on I tried the fries. I was amazed they were not fresh cut for that price. But not only were they frozen fries but they were horrible frozen fries that probably bought for the local Dollar Store. I take that back i bet the Dollar Store fries taste better than these. We are visiting this area and thought we would try Woody's. It was wonderful! We are from the Kansas City area and what this place offers would give any of our local bbq places serious competition. I had the beef brisket, it was moist, tasty, with a noticeable smoke ring. My husband had the prime rib and loved it also. We will definitely be back. read more

The staff is usually nice but the food is not good quality. The green beans look like they are straight from a can. The veggie ales rarely look fresh. Decent, but not great. Friendly staff, quick to seat us, very attentive, however the food just wasn't awesome. We got the woodys sampler, which came with ribs, chicken, turkey and brisket. It was "decent", but not by any means great. The Cole slaw was pretty good, and the desserts looked awesome but we didn't try them. Most of the meat was fat, and besides the smoky flavor, there wasn't much else to say about it. Staff was great, but that's not why you come to a restaurant. The greeter and waitress were great. Very pleasant and welcoming. She was very attentive to me and my kids. I had the hot and honey wings which were fantastic. One of my kids had a half rack of Memphis style ribs which she loved. My other daughter had the bacon monster burger which she said was excellent. My son had the chicken tenders meal which he said was okay. I would recommend this place for wings, burgers or ribs. I plan to come back and try more of the menu. Wish I could leave negative stars!! AVOID THIS PLACE!! We have noticed a steady decline in food quality for more than a year, but when visiting the area (there are few dining options) we always seemed to "try it one more time". Never again. All three in our party became sick after last visit -classic food poisoning symptoms. I'll spare you gory details. Spare ribs (which should be fall off the one tender) were so tough & dry my dog couldn't chew them. I should have sent all our orders back when all meat appeared sickly grey color and barely warm. (I'm a fan of BBQ-this was not a healthy smoke grey). My concern of seeming picky or bitchy has given the family an entire evening vomiting/diarrhea. AVOID WOODY's!!! Take a drive 4 minutes to TOPS DINER. A local suggested it. TOPS has great cheap fresh cooked food!! Only place we will eat when in area from now on. read more

The food was good but the service was ridiculously bad. As we waited for someone to take our order i watched a girl run from the parking lot, coat on and cigarette in mouth. Five mins later she appeared at our table out of breathe - low and behold this was our waitress. She took our orders, brought us drinks and then vanished for a half hour.
