If I only based my review on tenderness and moisture they would be a 4 because they were moist and fall off the bone tender but the flavor was not what I like in a rib. The issue was the smoke flavor was so strong it was over powering any other flavor the ribs may have had. It was so strong that it left an aftertaste in my mouth. This comment was shared by all 7 people that were in my group so it wasn't just 1 individual rack of ribs. It was consistent in all of them. As I noted , 2 of the elements of the meal were good. The fries were fresh cut and good flavor and the baked beans were quite tasty if you like a sweeter tasting sauce and of course bacon. We may go back and try other items but we will not be getting the ribs again. If i rated this based on the sides it would be a 4 but since the ribs were the reason that we went I can only score this a 2.

The pulled pork and brisket were tender, however, all three suffered from what I'd say is a lack in flavor. I prefer more flavor to it. The bbq sauce isn't bad. I didn't have enough to really judge it. It isn't a thick sauce. I would prefer my bbq sauce to be in a container for me to apply rather than spread over my meat. Is it the best bbq in PA? No. Is it better than average? Yes, but not a top tier. Are the portions generous? For me, no, but maybe others yes. Is this the best bbq in the area? Currently, I'd say yes.
