Bartender handled the crowd with ease, and the KJ kept the party mood going as a LOT of people were there to sing. One issue that evening caused by the fryer being out of service, so there was no bar food available. All in all - Engels Pub delivered a good karaoke party experience, and I think we'll be going back soon.

Although I loved working at this bar for years and loved the regulars that became family, the new owner however is a piece of shit. Never owned a bar and bought 2 the same damn time. He should have been educated in the industry before considering such a task.. He stole hours from his employees and didnt pay what he was suppose to pay. Bo, one of the main bartenders that got fired for asking for a couple weeks off to deal with health issues. Never got payed for the hours he worked before getting fired. When i called him out on his scandle. He said I have been stealing from him! Which is completely B.S! I have proof and asked to show me on the camera of me stealing from him. And he fired me and 86'd me like they did BO. Why?? Because every single one of them are fucking scared. Im not scared and justice will be served. Even if people that work there sabatoged my job to get my shifts because of there own selfish greed. Karma will be served on a big platter of shit. Good bye woodys, I wouldnt care so much if I was guilty but im not! And i can prove everything on my end. Matt's the shit he really is.nothing against him at all.. I just wish we got a new bar owner that knew how to run a bar and communicate with his employees instead of avoiding them. I'm still bitter about it, because i know who the hell i am as a person and he fired the wrong person. Maybe he will eventually see who the real theives are. Maybe he will realize he made a mistake. I hope he does. I'm gonna fight my defense till the end. Even if in his culture he hates women. He cant lie about what he did. He would rather not even deal with it and tell someone else to call me to let me go cause he knows he fucked up.. I could go on and on. As listed, dive bar, mixed company when I was there. Met a few good people, and also a group of white supremacist that felt the need to say white power repeatedly. We were asked to leave when someone in my party told the racist where to go. Defiantly not going back to this white supremacist hangout. read more

Hannah and Matt are great bartenders. This little hole in the wall is a fun place to meet for drinks if you need somewhere quiet to talk or maybe play darts. They have a good happy hour and the drinks are stiff. The food isn't a revenue source so eat before you go becasue they may not have any. read more

As my mom passed away several years ago, I walked in with tear-filled eyes and Meesh totally understood and even allowed me to play my mom's favorite song on the juke box. So, with Lyin Eyes on the awesome and modern jukebox and the neon booze signs on the walls, I could actually feel my mom in the room, telling her infamous dirty jokes. I shared this with everyone, and we all raised a glass in her honor. Tequila shots for my companions and a water shot for me! I love that they serve hard alcohol here, makes for a nice variety in drinks and patrons. Now, on this particular night, there were only 3 others in the bar (maybe 4), but it was a great atmosphere. The entire place is super clean with updated bathrooms with the doors I'm sure were there when the place was built. Now, I don't drink and have never really been a regular at a bar, but the welcoming environment and friendly Meesh, I am certain I'll be back again & again. If you are in Kenmore, stop in for a nice beverage, good conversation and homey atmosphere!
