Mainly bar food which is okay if you don't mind it. It's okay but the chicken wings are to die for! We usually share a plate of 10 with hot sauce and ranch. If really hungry, we'll get the 20 wings, but that's not very often. We've tried almost every dish on the menu. We always come back to the wings. Wait person seemed to be really busy which is not surprising. He was trying to take care of the bar and us. The ambiance is a sports bar. Nothing romantic about it unless both you and your partner are interested in the Mariner's winning. Romance can be anywhere if you love your partner. So there you go. I cannot recommend the Tuesday night tacos enough every night of the week. There's something delicious that you have to try here, but I got a chance to visit tonight. I had a soft beef taco with a side of sour cream and salsa. It's a full bar and they were having trivia night so you can partake in the fund and there's plenty of TVs to watch sports. The service was great and very quick. The food tasted like the ingredients was fresh and delicious and I had a blast while I was there I'm definitely coming back but I recommend you stop in if you don't like soft tacos? I used to love coming on trivia nights but one by one the best employees stopped working here and you can't get ANY service. Last week I was in the restroom when I watched this shorter greasy woman leave without washing her hands. When I came out a few seconds later she was making drinks and grabbing glasses where people put their mouths... DISGUSTING. I love playing pool and watching a game here but the last two times I visited the same bartender was clearly drugged out of his mind and I'm not talking Cheech and Chong. He appeared to be barely awake and when I asked him if they had Casadores he said yes (they did not) and then proceeded to pour me a shot of some horrific bottom shelf paint that was undrinkable. My wife still won't drink tequila because of this experience. The bottle was right it front of us and was clearly not Casadores. I also had to remind him of how many drinks we had ordered as he was not keeping track. Thanks for trying to give me a free drink I guess. We had the Wed Steak Dinner which was a lot smaller piece of meat from prior meals, it also was grizzle and oily tasting ! The dinner salad you once received with meal is now $3. And smaller ! The Channel Marker taco night is the BEST! Three tacos, beef or chicken, for $5. Plus a Mexican beer of your choice for $3. Try and find a better deal than that! My new Tuesday night favorite stop! Great place to just chill out in downtown Edmonds. I met my girlfriend here while in town visiting and we sat for a few hours and just chatted. Wasn't too loud or busy early in the evening and our server was friendly and just let us be. We had the nachos and a Bloody Mary. read more

good pub food and pub atmosphere. the Channel Marker is a favorite stop for lunch after a stroll on the waterfront or just picking up mail at the post office and i don't feel like "brunch" at Claire's. the table service area as you enter is spacious with plenty of room between the tables. the bar area has tall tables that seats up to 6, and a section of electronic games. it's quiet and not rowdy at lunch. electronic jukebox is set at a tolerable volume. the bartenders and the wait staff are quick to approach and take orders. they are pleasant and happy to answer questions. i like the appetizers for "lunch" because the lunch portions are very generous. chicken wings: 8 for 12.99. broasted, crispy, and hot out of the broaster. fish and chips lunch: 3 huge pieces. fresh out of the fryer steamed clam appetizer: served with garlic bread. good value at $10.99 steak bits: tender and good teriyaki seasoning . chicken fried steak: tasty. would prefer a crispy crust. grilled ruben: enough leftover for dinner burgers: most expensive is $17.99 next up: broasted chicken lunch! read more

A chill place with a solid selection of games. Service is a little spotty being on and off, generally friendly but feels a bit unattentive. I was clowned on for ordering the Beef Stroganoff but it was fine. Maybe they use hamburger helper to make it, but it tastes fine, especially if you're just hungry at the end of the day. Price is fair too, but again, maybe low quality ingredients. I will take some blame for my choice of food, so I can't just rag on them. Plus, you come here for cheaper drinks too, not the food. Beef Stroganoff - no mushrooms off the bat, so that's noticeable. Egg noodles are firm but not terrible. Looks a bit unappetizing but tastes fine. Definitely had better but who else orders Beef Stroganoff? Garlic bread was very good though! Wish I had more of that. No pictures exist here so I got y'all. read more

A friend of mine suggested this place and so we headed on over after I got out of work. The place was packed when we walked in. When we walked in, there was no hostess stand - it's a first come first serve situation. I asked a waitress if we should just sit anywhere, and she said yes. We had to sit at a table that hadn't been cleared yet. No worries - they were busy. After we saw a (different) waitress in this section greet and get drinks for some people that walked in after us (2 other tables actually) we started to realize we would not be getting helped by her. So, we noticed a spot opened up at the bar. We asked the first waitress if we could sit there and she said of course! She let us know Morgan (bartender) would be helping us. Morgan is a busy woman. We watched her multitask at another level!! Not only was she able to check on orders in the kitchen, cash people out, get pull tabs, and remember our orders, but she did it all while pouring drinks at the same time. She also apologized if she felt something was taking too long. Once we ordered - everything came out fast. The steak was cooked exactly as ordered (sorry I didn't get a pic!) and the chicken gizzards and Caesar salads were pretty good as well. If you're looking for a solid bar and grill with some reasonable prices - and you're not afraid of a little divey atmosphere - then this is a win. If you're lucky, Morgan will be your bartender. Large, loud and packed on Tuesday trivia night our foursome took the only vacant seats at the pull tab bar. I'm feeling lucky. It took 30 minutes to share one menu and receive a ginger beer. 20 minutes later I had the soft taco special served to me @$6.95 No surprises here. Typical pub with lots of space. The crowed ranged from senior citizens, who were all congregated to one side of the bar, to younger people on the other side. The night I came, there were no bouncers. Maybe they show up just for the weekends? I could tell that this place gets packed when there's a game. I came here for a work function so I couldn't get too crazy. I had a glass of red wine (don't order wine in a pub) lol. Then followed with some Guinness. For food, I got the onion rings and fried chicken wings with their special spicy sauce. Been here twice and it gets worse each time. First visit, bar tender was rude and acted like he was offended we had come in with a group. On the most recent visit, our drink order was messed up, after following up on our food order, we were told the cooks had been on a smoke break but they were now back in the kitchen and then only 2 of the items we ordered showed up. When we asked about the other items we ordered, the waitress said she had forgotten to put in the order! Out of the 2 food items that arrived, the tots were good but the nachos tasted off. I have been here a few times over the pandemic and have really enjoyed it. Parking has only been difficult once (but things are more open now). Although they had a nice tent set up in their outdoor patio for winter I am glad to be back inside. Food has always been good. They have fantastic side salads and I love their seafood. I recently came in for their two for one steak and although it was overcooked for me (I like it medium rare) it still had good flavor. Drinks are average. Overall will definitely be back! read more

I've been coming here for years. They've always had some great food specials, always friendly staff, and a fun place to go. I would have always given it a 4 or 5 star rating. I have always enjoyed and recommended The Channel Marker. However, the last couple times I've showed up in the last 3 weeks haven't been so good. In fact, last night we waited almost 15 minutes to get served and then 50 minutes to get our food. Everything we got was cold.......even the baked potato. My wife said she doesn't want to come back. The staff was apologetic, but it turns out that there is new ownership in the last few weeks and half the staff has quit. That's not a good sign and I only hope they can figure out what's wrong before it buries them. It's always been a wonderful place to go, but I will have to give it 2 stars since the ownership change.
