Quality of food was outstanding! We ordered takeout while visiting Seward. We shared the Tom Yum Soup and the Ginger Chicken. It was perfectly seasoned and the spice was just right. We came here on a Thursday evening and had no wait. We are not from here so we have a different idea of Thai food. But this is not true Thai food. The chicken was over cooked and some pieces were rubbery. We had 2 orders of the Basil chicken and 1 red curry. It did not taste fresh at all and was lacking in vegetables. I know this is Alaska and food may be a bit more hard to get. The dishes on a scale of 1-5 were about a 3. I gave this a 2 star review because of the service. The server, CG I believe is how she signed our ticket, was unfriendly and snappy. We watched her literally argue with a sarcastic grin on her face to a table nearby. The table wanted to split the check and the server kept saying "We don't do that, I don't have time to do that." The server explained they could pay with 2 different cards though?? That's splitting the check. So when it was our time to cash out I did the math to the exact dollar amount and said put this amount on this card and this amount on this card and she rudely said to me " we don't take separate payments, I don't have time to do the math." I tried calmly explaining how I heard her arguing with the table near us and telling them they would do 2 separate payments and she had a sarcastic smile and said "since you have it all exactly out with the math I guess I'll do it. ". Come on! We talked with other people who live in Seward and evidently customer service is an issue here. We LOVE Thai food but even if we lived here we would not go back. read more

In my opinion, this is the best Asian restaurant in Seward. My wife agrees with me. It is a nice place to go if you would like something other than seafood there. It tastes very Asian. Excellent food. Friendly people. Large portions. Who would think it in Seward but this is really great place to go. A friend and I went to the Sealife Center then for a short hike and were both starving when we got there. The place is clean, the staff very pleasant, the food was terrific and more than we could eat being we, well at least I am a big eater. Will make a point of going again. I had Panang and my friend had one of the rice dishes I believe the Swimming Rama. Of course we tasted each others meal. Both had great flavors and they didn't skimp on the portions. I can't wait to try their other dishes. I took a little while to get the meals but as my friend pointed out to me that means it was fresh and not premade and warmed up. Super great! Ate here two years ago and coming here today was better than I remember! Took my fiance and all he could say on the way here is he didn't know what he'd order or if he'd like it. Ordered the bacon fried rice for him and it was better than my beef broccoli! Super cheap beer prices for this tourist destination town. Tried Woody's for the first time last night. We found the food to be excellent. (And were shocked since we were in Seward - not exactly the most foodie local on earth.) However, a few things knocked off a few stars. First, there was quite a wait. One server and one cook on a Saturday night. No busser. The poor server was being run ragged. The one cook was filling to go orders as well. I can't stand when a restaurant prioritizes take out over patrons who are taking the time to dine in. Secondly, there's a play corner for children. While thankfully, no kids were making a ruckus over there - the potential was high for being a meal ruiner. If your children can't sit nicely for a meal out, then stay at home. And thirdly, the PRICE! Holy cow! $70 for two people! For Thai! I'm sorry, but Seward is not the ends of the earth. And it's winter, not tourist season where you can stick it to the customer and they'll just accept it. We had the fresh rolls (3), Tom Kha soup, a noodle dish I can't remember the name of, 2 beers and hot tea. I'm sorry, but at any other Thai restaurant that meal would have been about $30. (And heads up - the menu listed the beers at $5 each, but we were charged $7 each.) read more

So I have mixed review about this restaurant and I would say it's an average Thai restaurant. We had the corn fritters which were pretty good. My husband ordered holy basil chicken based on reviews but was underwhelmed with the dish. It was not that flavorful and the chicken pieces were smelling slightly weird. Who would have thought, a Thai restaurant in Alaska, called Woodys. The Pad Thai was great and enhanced with a dose of chili paste put some spivey in a dish that normally is a little bland. Great new Thai restaurant in Seward! The menu was modest in size but the two dishes we had (take out) were very delicious--panang chicken curry and pad thai. Staff was very friendly, too. We'll definitely return on our next trip to Seward this year. Although we did take out, the inside of the restaurant was simple but comfortable; looked to be around 11 tables.
