Technician Brent called when he was 15 minutes out and was on time. The service was HVAC maintenance. After opening up the system and doing a thorough review and cleaning, Brent made suggestions for improvement, but no pressure or scare tactics. Wow! After keeping my money for not doing the job and trying to sell me a new unit that wasn't broken! It was a loose screw! (Confirmed by 2 other companies) instead of refunding me $98 years ago they thought I had forgot, well it's hard to forget an inept, corrupt and thieving company. Overcharged me for a light pole and receptacle. Charged me $1032.00. If you were to look these items up, you would see they are less than $100. The light pole doesn't even work. The company is acting like I misunderstood the estimate And will not adjust the bill. They were suppose to fix two doorbells, troubleshoot the ceiling fan and replace with new one, fix side patio light, repair receptacle and put in new light pole. The estimate includes labor and materials. The one that do estimates says the pole is not working because of the outlets. He want to come over and estimate how much to fix them which is more money. The person that does estimates is insulting. when I first went to the company, I wanted an outlet installed for a dishwasher. The person that showed up (Justin) did not want to install one. He wanted to hard wire the dishwasher , not listening to me. read more

On a Friday night, we realized our heat pump was not cooling. Got up to 82 degrees in the house. Called Wooldridge at around 8 AM, the next morning. Technician Bill Davenport arrives at 9:30. Changes out a capacitor and is gone by 9:40. Always great service from Wooldridge. Reasonable prices, too. read more

It took Wooldridge 3 try to fix my whole home humidifier before they realized it needed to be replaced (under warranty) then when they installed the new one it was installed incorrectly and a different tech had to correct that. Then the water connection wasn't tightened and that leak. Then the breaker for the air handler blew, and I was charged over $400 for an $30 breaker. I can understand they need to make a profit so here's the breakdown $100 for truck role and troubleshooting, since I paid for the preferred customer program. 30mins to figure it out. Then roughly $300 for this special breaker (per tech). I had him leave the burnt out Breaker. Searched the serial number on the breaker and found it for somewhere between $30 and $50. Update to my post on the cost of the breaker. Wooldridge called me and we discussed the cost of the breaker, now I'm doubting my research on what the breaker's true cost is. Still it doesn't change my thought on the cost of the repair. Neither does it change my opinion on the quality of work I received on the humidifier. read more

I've had multiple issues with an entirely new system over the past year that should've been avoided. First, installation took longer than discussed. Installation was in February and I was told it would take a day and a half, 2 days at most. It took 3 full days, days I had to take off work. I work a commission job so I made no money those days. Second, the installation that took longer than expected was done incorrectly. Over the summer, a few months after installation, it was discovered the unit was installed at the improper angle causing the condensate pump being unable to drain properly while the AC is running. A safety shut off switch was activated, causing the entire unit and thermostat to shut off. Needed a tech to come out and correct the initial installation angle and reset the system. Third, early this October we had to turn on the furnace for a cold weekend. The fan would run but the flame on the furnace never lit. After over an hour of testing, it was detrimental that there was a faulty switch on a brand new unit. Tech initially tried to say it went bad due to a dirty filter, but after questing and verifying that it was not due to a filter but truly a faulty switch, he agreed to get a new one installed at no cost. I would not recommend Wooldridge to others looking for new systems. I thought the process would be easy and reliable, but it's been a headache and frustrating that an entirely new HVAC system has had so many issues that could've been avoided had better communication and service been provided. read more

If I could just rate some of the service technicians I would rate them higher and would recommend that they find a new ethical company to work for! We purchased our unit seven years ago. We had gotten a quote several months prior to purchasing our unit and when we purchased there was a sale that was $500 cheaper then the quote. They had us sign the quote sheet acknowledging installation which had ten year parts and one year labor warranty which we did not pay attention to since it was an old quote. However, the invoice we received had the correct amount that I paid and listed 10 year parts and labor warranty which now they don't want to honor. An attorney I consulted said the invoice would stand up in small claims court which I am now considering. It's just ashamed people don't have ethical business practices. I would encourage anyone looking for a new unit or service for existing systems to look elsewhere!!!!! read more

I'm back a year later to repeat basically all I said last year. Our system in the downstairs went out this year. It was expected as it was 22 +yrs old !! We had to be out of town for the birth of our grandson. We met with Jason and finalized all the plans and he took pics of where the key would be placed for their entrance into the house. I don't know the names of the young men that came this year but they did a stupendous job !! If we hadn't known they were coming we wouldn't have been able to tell. Everything was exactly as we left it. All perfectly clean and the new system is a dream !! You can't even tell it is on it is so quiet. Kudos to the Wooldridge company. horrible company, tried to make me pay for warranty repairs to due the capacitor on my heat pump caught on fire. they wanted me to pay $1700, instead i went to a trustworthy business and guess what? its covered under warranty!! no thanks to wooldrige. the worst company i have ever had to deal with, especially the service manager as he lied to me MULTIPLE TIMES they will do anything they can to get every penny they can from you. do yourself a favor and go anywhere else but here read more

I recently had a new heating and air system installed by Wooldridge. My old system died the Thursday before Christmas, 2019. They were extremely helpful in determining what I needed and had the new system installed before the end of the year. I called them this morning because there was an issue with lack of air flow. The technician came out later today and quickly assessed the issue. Within minutes he had it diagnosed and repaired! 15 minutes after he left I could easily feel a difference! KUDOS to Wooldridge for fast and efficient service! I could not be happier I decided to go with Wooldridge Heating and Air.
