Not only was she rude, but she seemed not to be familiar with the name of the condition I have. She had to check with a supervisor to find out. The diagnosis turned out to be a common one, so you would think that office staff would have heard the term before. And because I was not an established patient, they declined to make an appointment with me. I will look for care elsewhere! By the way, I just called another practice--and they got me in right away! I will post a review for that practice after I've had my appointment next week.

He removed one of my natural lenses. I would never let him do the other one, He claimed it needed removing. 5 years later another ophthalmologist tells me it DIDN'T and still doesn't need it. He is obnoxious, abrasive, unethical. The morning I showed up for my cataract surgery, he was disturbed and upset. My surgery turned out to be a mess: It diminished the vision in that eye, and years later I am still dealing with flashing and blurred vision in that one abused eye. Two other patients who were scheduled that morning did not show up, the nurse told me. And Cahan was angry. I wish I hadn't shown up either. Those two must have learned something and gotten a warning I did not get.

The staff wasn't very welcoming, I could hear them talking about me from down the hall as I was waiting. Very unprofessional. They charged me an extra $50 for "contact fitting" and didn't explain why since I didn't actually get any contacts with them. After the appointment was finally over, I had to wait some more in the lobby to get my prescription. I had an appointment set up later in the week for my boyfriend that he went ahead and cancelled. Save yourself the hassle. Just avoid this practice.

I feel so overwhelmed in that space. And they make you pay as soon as you walk in the door. There's a long row of cashiers in cubicles behind counters right at the entrance. This is a very cold and unwelcoming experience for a patient who is shy or has a little anxiety when visiting a doctor. Tulluck and her assistant are warm and welcoming but what you have to go through to get in to see them isn't worth it.
