At the eye exam, they wanted to add upcharges. Usually my insurance pays for the basic eye exam including the Glaucoma test. They told me that the Glaucoma test was extra. I have been waiting 3 weeks for my glasses. The website says there is a problem and contact the office. All the office could tell me was they will check the UPS package when it comes in today. I started asking questions about if they were shipped and they said they are in process. Heck, they have been in process for 3 weeks. I ask if they can check to make sure they shipped, the receptionist hung up on me. read more

This place is so bad in every aspect. Drs are not good ( they checked my kids and gave them a wrong measurement for their lenses. This location/myeyedr, stated that they take my insurance when I called to make the appointment. I paid my deductible at the time of service. Then my insurance pays the agreed amount that they have with my Insurance, and NOW this location/myeyedr is trying to double charge me the deductible. I have been on the phone for an hour with their billing dept (having a VERY hard time understanding them) and my insurance. Tried calling this location/myeyedr and their phone prompts put you through the ringer to even talk with a person. Recommendation - I can see why they have the rating they have (Yelp's 2-star summary thanks Eric P.) is pretty accurate, GO somewhere else!! read more

Alicia at the front desk is extremely rude. She argues with customers, yells at them and tries to prove a point. The Rx she gave me was wrong and took two weeks to come in; which left me with an expired Rx and glasses I'm not used to wearing. Horrible business! Who doesn't have trials on hand? At least offer another location that has them; that would've been acceptable. read more

So we are now 11 weeks in and I got a call yesterday that my glasses were ready for pickup. I went to the store to get them and they ordered the wrong glasses. I emailed corporate and they said it would be an additional 4-6 weeks wait time for my glasses because so much time has passed that they are now on backorder! I can find the glasses online for pick up today but they refuse to do that, I have to wait so they can pay cost vs retail. They let me keep the wrong glasses to wear but these aren't the glasses that I ordered! When (if?) the actual frames come in, I have to bring the glasses with me so they can take out the lenses from the wrong frames to put in the right ones. UNREAL. This was offered to me as having given me a backup pair (with no lenses). My Eye Doctor will do what is best for their bottom line NOT the customer even when there have been this many missteps. I brought in brand new frames on 11/22/2023 today is 2/6/2024 and now I am asked to wait 4-6 additional weeks. Take your business elsewhere. read more

The last time I went here it was still Sure Sight Eye Care. It is the only Eye Care facility I have ever gone to. Strictly for contacts do to aging. At the new MyEyeDr, I found the staff to be friendly and the contact exam was thorough. However I found the pricing exorbitant. Almost 3 times as expensive as the last exam I had had. It's been 3 years or so but still. So I felt like I was gouged. It was my fault for not establishing the price up front so Se live'. However, I will find a new eye care facility as I see a lot of pricing within the range I paid before which was 89 dollars to check the powers I need in both eyes. read more

Went here last year with the whole family. The nicest thing I can say about the visit is that a manager did follow up with me after I shared my frustration with them. Bizarrely, I thought they reached out to me after my Yelp review, but I can't find that review. They're very conveniently located, but I was more than willing to drive a little further to visit a different optometrist. And boy, am I glad I did. I visited MyEyeDr partially because of the location, partially because they could see my family fairly quickly, and partially because they were listed on VSP's website has having a promotional $20 credit of frames. I expected the glasses to be reasonably priced after the VSP insurance and $20 credit. It's been a year, but from what I remember they had very few frames that would have been covered, none of the $20 credit frames in stock, and wanted to charge quite a bit for anti-glare. There was some frustration around my wife's contacts and a bit of a guilt trip around not getting anti-glare lenses for my son. (The manager who contacted me about all of this did apologize and change my son's lenses to anti-glare at no price, after stating that he felt there were pros and cons to anti-glare with children's glasses.) I ended up with a far-from-stylish set of glasses with no anti-glare, my son's mediocre glasses were anti-glare, and my wife was able to get contacts, which was enough to get us the info we needed to order multiple pairs of glasses from Zenni that tided us over until we were able to visit Japan where we could get lenses with anti-glare, frames and an eye exam for roughly the price this place was charging for anti-glare. The good news is that this year I visited Peachtree Eye Associates, and I finally feel really good about an US optometrist! This is not the worst place to get your eyes checked, but "Meh. I've experienced better." (Yelp's 2-star summary) is pretty accurate. read more

Love Dr Wayland and Dr Ferndon. But the office staff since myeyedr took over is horrible. The kids in the office don't seem to care about the patients at all. I didn't want to change practices because these dr's are the best but I can't deal with unprofessional office staff. This place is wonderful! The staff is knowledgeable and the doctors know exactly what they're doing. Some of their selection is on the higher end, but to be fair, this is a high end city so that's to be expected. The opticians know exactly how to make me feel welcome and the manager is determined to make sure you leave being able to see! Definitely coming back! read more

The staff (especially Kenelle (sp?)) at MyEyeDr were very kind to me even though I was in a bad mood about having to pay to have my contacts prescription updated. They cheered me up, which they definitely didn't have to do. The doctor took time to explain things to me, and I came away from my appointment with some good information about eye health. read more

An awesome experience for me and my son. They really care about our overall eye health and also about helping us find the best inexpensive deals suitable for my family. The GM, Susan and the optometrist were awesome! The eye doctor was able to find and explain a possible disorder that could cause a medical concern with my son's eyes and gave me the right referral. I'm going to have to agree with the previous reviewer. I thought my experience was a fluke, but apparently not. This practice was awesome back when they were Sure Sight. Dr. Ferdon is super nice. It seems that recently they've sold their practice to a large conglomerate which has completely changed the level of service - and not in a good way. Reviewers on Google are saying the same thing in that the service has gone downhill over the last few months. I needed to order new contact lenses which was way more painful of a process than it should've been. I called several times, and either the call was never answered or I was told someone would call me back (they never did). I finally was able to order my lenses after futilely calling for days. I was told it would take a week for them to come in and someone would call me when I could pick them up. Unsurprisingly, no one called. They said it's because they didn't have my phone number. I've been a patient for several years so I know that's not true. When I came by to pick up my lenses, the girl at the front counter was nothing like the previous office staff who were so wonderful. She stared at some papers on her desk without acknowledging me. After a few minutes, she murmured, "Yes?" without looking up. I told her that I was picking up my lenses. She slowly walked to get them and then tossed them over the counter at me without saying a word. She then went back to staring at the papers on her desk. Apparently, they're now hiring robots. This experience, however, did not deter me from wanting to make an appointment for an eye exam with Dr. Ferdon. I called a bunch of times, was put on hold for 15 minutes at a time and then hung up on, and was told a few more times that someone would call back (once again, they never did). This was the final straw for me. Unlike the previous reviewer, I DID take my business elsewhere. The new employees here look and sound very young. The rude girl at the front desk barely looked like she was out of high school. Everyone else I've actually spoken to (when I'm not put in a long holding cue) sound high school age. I'm all about giving the youngsters work experience, but they might be better suited for a mall retail store than a busy medical practice. Let the grownups handle this type of work. The incompetency and lack of professional are now rampant here. It's too bad because the optometrists are really good, but don't have a staff that is able to adequately perform. There are too many optometry practices in this area with good doctors than to have to deal with the poor service at MyEyeDr. read more

Love the doctors left there, I think they are still there. But, Hate the customer service, phone service. Tried to make an appointment on line to avoid terrible phone service and still trying. The doctor I saw was expedient, knowledgeable, and personable. The staff was energetic, positive and considerate. Kenyel got me a fantastic deal and I walked out with two sets of glasses and a year supply of contacts. The staff stayed over time since I was the last appointment and I wasn't rushed at all. I practice by a pay-it forward mentality and so did they. If you treat the staff with respect and positivity, you might be surprised how they'll treat you in turn. read more

This is after 10 years of going to this eye dr. Every single year has been worse than the last. This year was exceptionally horrible. Over the years, they have lost my prescription so I had to go through the eye exam again, lost my contacts after being ordered several times, scheduled when the doctor wasn't even in the office, have changed ownership only to find out once I got there and the doctors I used to use were gone. It takes a lot for me to get upset, but they constantly ruin my days. Lastly, I showed up for my appointment, only to be told that the doctor on staff would not see me because he didn't feel like he could put his signature on my prescription because it "was so complicated". No, it is not; however, if you would not have lost it and my contacts over and over, it would have been simple. To be turned away when I took off of work to be on time, is unacceptable. You don't let me know when I show up. My suggestion, go elsewhere where customers are valued. My eyes are too important to me to leave it in the hands of people who just don't care.
