I had cataract eye surgery 6 months ago and was strongly advised by Dr. Andre Cohen, my surgeon (they cannot give any guarantee's) that the Light Adjustable plus lens was my best option for being glasses free. Well, $15,000 out of pocket and I am back to wearing glasses full time. Even worse is that prior to my surgery, I didn't need reading glasses. Now I can't even see the food on my plate when I eat! I have to wear prescription sunglasses during the day and regular glasses at night and when it's raining. The glare and halos at night make my driving scary and dangerous. I knew that with only 2 star reviews that I should have chosen another ophthalmologist but Dr. Cohen had a pretty strong sales pitch and I took the bait. I saw Rachel Ressler OD at the Marietta location. I waited almost an hour past my appointment time to see her. She was very unprofessional and rude. She argued with me about anything that any other doctor has told me about my condition. She basically told me that I was on my own as far as seeking recommendations for a specialist for an eye condition that I have been diagnosed with through testing. She gave me very bad advice about further treatment for my eye condition. She had a "God" complex as far as her time and treatment of patients is concerned. read more

I had an appointment with Dr Sara Netter yesterday to check on my left eye that was hurting and watery--In 2023 I had lost vision in that eye due to a blood clot that damaged the optic nerve--At that time I was told that if I ever had issues to call and make an appointment ASAP--I was so disappointed in Dr Sara --She basically brushed me off--and gave me no answers--She apparently had not read any notes--She recommended I get an Appointment with my primary physician (which could take 3-4 months) She basically said that she was not my Primary at Marietta Eye that she couldn't address the issues and for me to see Dr Sol in 30 days as a follow up. I was quite upset --I have never been treated like that in the 20 plus years that our family has been going to Marietta Eye--At this point we are considering leaving the practice. ps your staff is great read more

Where do we begin????? Multiple trips to get lined up for cataract surgery. Twice I go to get pre-opt testing. Poor girl failed to save the results in computer and they called me to drive back over to relics their error. Never did I hear any sort of apology from any of their staff. So finally have surgery on first eye just to hear they failed to remove all of the cataract and would have to rework. The doctor stated any post opt procedure was included in the original cost. Now they are asking me to pay again for them to rework their mistake. Wish I could provide something positive however if you have a choice DO NOT go to THEIL as not sure they should be doing these procedures. read more

I started out pleased with this clinic, but found that the longer I was there, the worse it became. I had my cataracts removed 2.5 years ago and my vision has been terrible. I kept telling them that, but they would tell me that everything was fine. I couldn't see well, I saw double and triple, and that was fine?? Oh, my eyes were dry,that was all. Yes, my eyes are dry, but nothing they gave me helped, not even the nasan spray that is $160 a month. I filled the glasses Rx, and my vision was worse. I called to get back in with the optometrist, and was told that I wouldn't be allowed to until I had met with their "eye glasses specialist" who would determine if I needed to see the doctor. I have worn glasses or contacts for 40 yrs before I had Lasik, I could not understand wasting time when I knew exactly what was wrong. But that would be against their protocol. I asked to speak to the office manager, but all I got was a relayed message that I had to follow their protocol. I ran a chiropractic office for 15, and I know office BS when I hear it. If I had talked to a patient like that, my boss would have dragged me to my car, stuffed me in it and fired me. What was done to me on Monday is largely how you get rid of a patient you don't want to be bothered with. So I told the gal on the phone to cancel my outstanding appointments, that I would not waste my time with an office whose protocol was more important than a patient's vision. And two days later, I have worked with a smaller office of caring people, that understood my issues with astigmatism and now I am happily in contact lenses. I can see much better. This is old hat to me, having started with the old hard contacts in 1973 and used about every kind possible for about 30 yrs. There is a lot to be said for an over sized comprehension clinic like Marietta. There is a lot to be said for single practitioner owned clinics as well. Make sure you get what you want. read more

Today I had a routine eye exam scheduled. The doctor's assistant was professional, skilled, timely and efficient. But after her work was completed, I waited 45 minutes and still the doctor did not arrive. I went out after 30 minutes and asked if I had been forgotten. Two employees were standing having a personal .conversation, did not even look in my direction. One told me no, I was not forgotten, in less than an interested way. I waited 15 more minutes and left after telling the people up front why. This situation indicates a lack of respect for clients, poor training of staff, over booking (a sign of greed in my opinion). I will not be returning to Marietta Eye Clinic and will not recommend them. read more

First off, let me just say - the doctor at the Hiram location was very informative, patient, had great bed side manner, and we trusted him throughout the process. An upgrade from the eye doctor at the Marietta location who we hoped would show the same level of care since she was part of the diaspora. Wrong. The pre-op process was ridiculously disorganized and the communication was TRASH. I had to call multiple times and physically go up there for answers that could have easily been answered over the phone. Their own staff member (not Porsha) informed me that following up isn't their ministry. When it was time to schedule the procedure, no one called to ask if the date was ok or discuss next steps. We just got an email. I called my mom to ask if she got a call back from the scheduler and she stated she had not. After a few more attempts, we were told that the date wasn't set in stone and that we would know a week before the procedure. I explained that we needed to know to bring it to our employers attention (multiple times), but they insisted that they would let us know the week before. A week later, no call; so I called Marietta Eye Clinic back. Porsha (sp) was super helpful and patient throughout this process. The communication was so poor that I had to ask if they treat everyone like this or...??? Porsha was able to finally get a supervisor on the line who walked us through all of the pre-op information. However, the date changed from the originally scheduled date to the day before; unbeknownst to us. The post-op instructions stated that my mom should avoid straining, but they failed to mention that the only medication they prescribed caused constipation. That was a whole other ordeal. Apparently, its not uncommon for medical staff to treat outpatient clients this way. However, for a procedure this expensive; I thought they would've taken more care. When its time to collect a check, their follow up is superb. Imagine that. There are other things that I could've mentioned, but this review is long enough. I'm giving them two stars - one for the eye doctor and one for Porsha, but the state of customer service and care is at an all time low. I've been going here for 2-3 years since one of the doctors, Dr.Schlesinger, saved my mom's other eye from going blind. Even my contact experience has greatly improved by Monica making sure I had the correct contact sizing even if that meant she had to order a special size that was not in stock. My contacts went from constantly turning in my eye causing irritation and a blurry vision to instant comfortably and a clear vision. I always receive great care here and am glad this office came highly recommended by family and friends at the right time. read more

I was impressed with the smooth procedure when I went for my cataract surgery with Dr. Chernof. The nurses were very kind and explained every step. The anesthesiologists for both eyes was calming and professional. Since the operations, however, I have had difficulties. My eyes developed an infection and Dr. Chernof prescribed Prednisone drops. She did not appear to think this was an unusual occurrence. I had instructions to use drops 4x a day for first week, 3x for second week, 2x for third week, 1x for fourth week. I have just begun my third week and have run out of the drops. When I called the pharmacy for refill they had to call Dr. Chernof. Three days later I have not received the refill nor been able to contact Dr. Chernof. I have not been impressed with her! read more

I went to see Ms. Lindsey Bergstrom in the Marietta location for a glasses prescription. I insisted her that the glasses were meant for computer work and that I suffered 1 year ago a retinal detachment which could somehow complicate the accuracy of the measurements. She did not ask me things like "distance of the screen" which I know now that it is VERY important. She just did the typical measurements reading letter on the wall...ignoring my specific case. The result is that the glasses are WRONG and I have to start over again. A shame. I will go directly to Lenscrafters, I think they know better what they are doing. read more

I've been seeing these doctors since 2012 when I was diagnosed with keratonis. I have been to several other doctor's offices and have never been treated as well or had the ease in which my insurance has been contacted by anyone else other than these people. I have just returned from the Canton office of Marietta Eye Clinic. Jason Wilke gave me the absolute BEST eye exam I have ever had. I was able to determine which view was best probably for the first time ever because he was so patient! WOW. Dr. Wilkins did my cataract surgery several weeks ago and it went perfectly and was not the terror I feared. And I can SEE more COLORS, more CLEARLY than I ever remember. I am totally done with the worst ran offices I have ever visited. Not only is the floor outlay ridiculous, it's almost funny it's so disorganized. I think there's five waiting areas for a small area, really? The delays are unprofessional and unacceptable, at all levels from technicians to doctors. I had a 10 o'clock appointment and I finally walked out at noon. They didn't have a clue what was going on in that office. Obviously the owners /doctors have never called their own number, I did 9 times without getting anyone. The specific areas, contacts, picked up the phone line and hung up three times without a word- too much work I guess. The only people you can reach is the appointment folks, unbelievable but so true!!! They have 30 or so doctors and nobody can answer a phone! I wish they had to rely on their own service, they obviously never quality check their service, probably speaks to their professionalism- lack of for sure! Don't waste your time here, they will waste your time! I waited almost two hours before I decided I had enough and left. They shouldn't even be paid for their incompetent service. I have had numerous surgeries and eye exams, documented. Always a terrible experience- avoid and save yourself from the unprofessional delays, lack of communication, inability to call ANYONE, and apathy! I called and got a manager finally, who couldn't help me?!? Why did you send me to her then? OMG, their manager was totally incompetent. inconsistent diagnosis. The facility is always clean and neat and the staff and doctors are always polite and friendly. 2021 I was told that I needed cataract surgery immediately. It scared me so I didn't have it done. 2023 I was told it corrected itself and I no longer needed the surgery. 2024 I was politely reprimanded by this doctor and asked why didn't I have the surgery. I mentioned that the other doctor told me I no longer needed the surgery. she said I did and scheduled me for pre surgery consultation which I canceled because I was too nervous. 2025 I built up the nerve to have the surgery, and was told that my eyes were perfect even though my vision is slightly blurry with or without glasses which he says was probably due to a different medical condition that I have. He then proceeded to assure me that I did not need any cataract surgery. who should I listen too? I can no longer go there because I can't trust the diagnosis. read more

This place is impressive. A great combination of professionalism, comprehensive care, caring people, and available options. I first found them in an emergency: a family member got a corneal abrasion about 4 PM. I called, Sierra in the call center worked diligently to get us seen; we got seen at 9 AM the next day. The staff took care of us as soon as we walked in, and they gave the family member what she needed. They even gave us enough samples of antibiotics that a prescription wasn't necessary. They have just about everything you'd ever need with reference to your eyes: anything from contacts and glasses to retina surgery. This clinic is on a campus; it's building 100, and building 200 is for surgeries. That said, the campus can be a bit confusing as soon as you pull in, but as long as you look for and follow the signs, the signage is excellent. On walking in, they have a big kiosk with multiple stations for check-in; there are workers behind several desks, and there are about four clinical wings. There was a worker in the welcome area sanitizing kiosk stations between customers and also helping people check in, get where they needed to, etc. There is only one single-seater restroom for the entire facility, so you may need to wait for that. Other than that minor complaint, I've been very impressed by this place; I think we found our family eye doctors (by the way, they do take children; I saw people of all ages and stages while we were there). read more

They treated me very well at the place with my girls that I took to get checked, the only thing that I didn't like was that the doctor told me that for the next visit I had to bring someone who spoke English to translate for me and well I don't like it because it takes away the possibility of going back to those of us who liked the attention because of the English since I don't speak it and I understand it perfectly and nowadays in almost all places related to health they have their tablets with their people who translate for those who don't speak the language so even though I liked the place and those who attended us I probably won't be able to go back because it's only my husband and I who speak Spanish read more

I arrived 20 minutes early for my 9:30 appt. with Dr. Gummi. At 11:00 am i was still waiting to be seen by Dr. Gummi. I spoke to a staff member and advised I would need to leave at 11:15. I was still in the waiting area at 11:15 and told the woman at the front desk I was leaving. She gave me the office manager's phone number to lodge my complaint. It's been 3 weeks and the office manager still hasn't responded to my complaint. This group is VERY disrespectful of a patient's time. read more

There are a few good doctors at Marietta eye, but there are also a few awful ones. I had two very bad experiences when getting an eye exam. One where I overheard the doctor call me, that old white lady, and another where the doctor told me she couldn't get my vision corrected during a refraction for glasses, and I'd need to be satisfied with that. The staff has changed my appointment to à different doctor without informing me and also canceled an appointment that I had for 6 months. This place is a mess, and I will not bother to go there again. There are other professional eye clinics in the area. read more

My appointment was easy to make. When you walk in there is about 5-6 kiosk for you to check in from. Once I checked in, a minute later they call you to fill out paperwork (which I already did). A young lady called me to do a Hot air balloon test. Once I done with that I was placed in an exam room for series of test, questions and eye dilation. Doctor Mark Morel is the best Opthalmologist I have ever been to. His concern for my complex case was top notch. His skills are the best ever. He was so patient with my many questions; due to being misdiagnosed by a specialist. Quality care is what he strives for; and he delivers 100%. He called me on several occasions to more fully explain my test results. His office is so caring, with even a wonderful helper named Lou to assist in checking you in on the kiosk. Called for an appointment and got in within two weeks. My primary care physician referred me to this place because I had to have an eye examination due to diabetes. Upon arrival I signed in electronically. I waited less than ten minutes and was called in by Joseph. He was really nice and professional. Than I met with O.D. Emily Laga. After examining my eyes, she explained to me what she had found and that I had to have a slight change in my eyeglass prescription. So far everything was okay, but when I asked for a contact lenses prescription, I was told that I had to make another appointment. Never have I ever needed two separate appointments for eyeglass and contact lenses prescriptions. That was disappointing! Overall, it was a good experience. Everyone was friendly but efficient, and that left me feeling that they were on a "killer schedule." They also had and Eye Wear Department with beautiful designer frames with no price tags attached. I will assume that those frames are out of my price range. Should I need additional eye treatment in the future they seem to offer variety of eye treatments at this location. Have had multiple awful experiences here, including dilating my eyes without asking or warning, taking multiple voicemails over multiple days to get a call back, and the prescription given to me was worse than my previous one. By far one of the worst medical practices I've ever visited. Each time I have gone, I have received consistently rude and unprofessional treatment. No one informed me that I needed to bring contacts to my eye exam in order to be fitted for contacts. Every other place I have gone has had me use their samples to determine my contact lens prescription. They refused to allow me to get fitted for contacts and said I needed to come back another day. I came back, and they did not record the visit in their system. However, I did receive my contact lens prescription that day because I have been wearing those contacts ever since and would never have been allowed to buy them without a prescription. I recently went back because I ran out of contacts and was unable to purchase more because they did not have my prescription in their system. I asked to be fitted again, and they refused because I was experiencing eye irritation from allergies and said it would be a "health hazard" to provide me with my prescription even though I was only going to be taking steroid eye drops for 2 week. Obviously, I wouldn't have worn contacts during that time or until a doctor said it was okay, but the fact that they refused to allow me to order refills due to their own negligence is beyond me. I should have every right or order as many contacts as I want every year after paying for my eye exam. I went in February of 2022, and now I may have to pay out of pocket to find a new doctor to provide me with my contact lens prescription that I should already have access too. Additionally, the women I have interacted with at this office have been condescending, sarcastic, rude, and demeaning--each and every time--including Dr. Cheroff, who rolled her eyes at me when I requested not to have my eyelids flipped inside out because I already knew they were irritated and wasn't comfortable. Every medical patient deserves to be treated with kindness and professionalism and for their own bodies to be respected. They created a huge messs for me with no contacts to wear for very important business engagements and holiday parties where I want to look my best without contacts. I decided not to use the steroid eye drops and instead use contact-safe, over-the-counter drops instead, so there is absolutely no reason why they should have withheld my prescription from me. Absolutely ridiculous to put me through this because of their own lack of professionalism and negligence. Office experience....not good. Due to traffic, I arrived 12 minutes late. Upon my arrival, I was told to check in using the kiosk, which took seven minutes. I had to scan my insurance card and driver's license. Upon completion, I sat down and waited. During my wait, I couldn't help overhearing the front desk desk staff talk about siblings, siblings rivalry, and how to answer questions about God and today's kids. By the way... I'm still waiting... I was called up to the window, only to be told I couldn't see the Doctor because of "my lateness." What about your delay and lack of professionalism? Not the first problem...I had a previous issue with getting fitted for glasses at this establishment due to poor service. However, this is the last problem that I will have at Marietta Eye Clinic. Excuses & Red Flags. 2 office visits, 2 canceled planned surgeries by them, 4 days off work, and a devastated and heartbroken son who is still trying to understand why he can't have his surgery. All he wanted was straight eyes for Christmas. They blamed their surgery center next door, twice, and then tried to blame me. First, they said the surgery center had a broken glidoscope, a laryngoscope with a camera, which I presume would be needed for any surgery performed there in case of emergency. So, they have been performing surgeries with a broken piece of equipment. Second cancelation was blamed on anesthesiologists being biased against someone with Down syndrome., supposedly stating he nor his partner felt comfortable working with an adult who has Down syndrome. Those anesthesiologists don't know my son and have never met him or examined him. When I had questions about the discrimination she glazed over it and tried to blame me. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, and nauseating. Still stunned. We chose her because of reviews and her work with special needs. She stated the anesthesiologists were the ones discriminating. Everything seemed good to go after 2 office visits. No one should have to go through this. People with Down syndrome have feelings too. I am so devastated for my son and he is still asking why he didn't have his surgery. Had an entire weekend after Christmas dealing with him crying again. She tried to separate herself from those at the surgery center, but then after she accused me of being "aggressive" because of asking questions and trying to understand, I lost all respect for her. read more

I arrived 10 minutes late with a newborn baby! I drove over an hour to this location because my daughter needed to be seen! I waited another 15 minutes for them to tell me to reschedule. It was hardly no one in the office. The next appointment was in March of 2025. This was such an inconvenience and waste of my time. The front office told me the appointment will be over 2 hours which caused me to pick up my son from school early in the middle of testing. I was to be seen at the clinic on Canton Rd. this week. It tooke me 2 1/2 hours to get there. I was 14 min late but signed in. After waiting 30 min i was called by my son that they were looking for me. I was in one of the many waiting rooms and never heard my name. When I went to check I was told I was too late for my appointment and I would need to reschedule. No way was I driving another 2 hours to be sitting in the waiting area. After speaking to a manager I was told the same thing. If I wanted to wait another 2 hours they may be able to work me in. I will never go back to that place again. read more

In 2022 I had cataracts removed and also paid for the lens replacement, which wasn't covered by insurance. Office experience was okay. But lens replacement I wouldn't recommend. I called back several times and left messages to no avail, so I just stopped calling and living with the botched surgery on my vision. The doctor that performed my surgery I don't believe is still there so I'm screwed. But I've put it in God's hands. Do careful research before spending the additional money. My eyes I have to live with now. I saw the doctor that performed the surgery once after the surgery and he tried telling me it couldn't have been the way I was explaining. Mind you, these are my eyes. I saw their regular eye doctor and from her expression I knew something didn't go right with the surgery. My latest visit for my yearly eye exam and contacts was in March. I was informed after I was fitted with my contacts that they would have to mail me my receipt for my rebate and insurance. However, they never did! So I called a month later to have them email me a receipt, and again, they did not. So, I called again for a copy of my receipt and I finally got in touch with Darian Van Bloom, who graciously emailed me the receipt and sent a copy in the mail. I now have my receipt, the rebate form, but I do not have the code necessary to file my rebate. So, I am calling again today, and like most days, it is impossible to get anyone on the phone!
