Alex helped me with an acute back injury, after I jacked my low back bending over to pick up something. I was having constant spasms and could barely walk into the office. Dr Hwee Chung (older man in his 80s) is amazing. Extremely kind, professional, finds the points extremely fast. I heard about him through a friend of a friend who came back with asthma after going to China - which has horrible air pollution. Dr Chung cured her asthma with herbs and acupuncture. I also have asthma. The herbal drink he gives you is strong/bitter, but you get used to it after a while. He instructs you to drink it warm 2x a day. I put the packet in a mug and pour hot water over it and let it sit for a minute or two. The packet doesn't melt because it's a retort pouch (food grade plastic that doesn't melt). I was in a car accident that left my body aching and me unable to move my arm in certain directions. I have a lawyer who recommended I see a chiropractor. I'm now over three weeks in since the accident and only felt relief today after my second visit. I was unable to raise my arm or put my arm out to the side. This place has changed my life. I am a super healthy person and while I've never been opposed to acupuncture, I just didn't really get what the big deal was. That was before I severely injured my rotator cuff and was told I may have to get surgery. After being in an incredible amount of pain from this injury for 3 months with no progress whatsoever from rest, anti-inflammatories and icing my shoulder I became resigned to the surgery. On a whim, i walked in this place b/c it's near my vet and my dog was getting his teeth cleaned so I had a good hour to kill. After my first session during which Alex did acupuncture with heat and electro-muscular stimulation (EMS - which makes a HUGE difference btw), my shoulder felt noticably better....so I went back later that week and continued going in twice a week for 9 weeks. By the end of that time my shoulder felt healed, I didn't get surgery and he treated my wonky knee AND my insomnia at the same time. I went from not even being able to raise my arms to take off my own t-shirt to weight training at Crunch again. I felt AMAZING and pain free. I go back to this place anytime my sciatic flares up OR my sleep is off. Another side effect i notice is that i feel a lot happier after my treatment but that could also be because my pain is gone, too. The place is immaculately clean, parking is free, they take insurance but their fees are really affordable anyway $50-60/per session. They also offer cupping and Chinese herbal medicine, although I mainly did acupuncture. I've been to many acupuncturists in the past and these guys are the BEST! I originally went when I was feeling a cold coming on and not only did he knock the cold out in the first visit but he also helped with other symptoms as well. I have been feeling nerve pain for about three years, down the entire right side of my body and taking major nerve pain meds (neurontin) and within the first week of going to Angel Touch Acupuncture, I got off my meds and the pain went down! This is AMAZING!!! It's been about a month that I've stopped seeing him once a week. But even now that I don't see Alex every week the pain is very minimal and I'm still off my meds! This is truly incredible!!! I am so amazed with the level of knowledge and wisdom both Alex's have to give and the healing that is possible with Acupuncture. I came in here for anxiety and insomnia. Apparently stress can make you feel crazy!! I refuse to take anti anxiety meds or sleeping pills. And I've done acupuncture before for headaches which worked well. So today was my 2nd visit here and I have to say it's definitely helping me. I leave feeling very relaxed and I sleep good that night. Alex asks you a lot of questions to understand your concerns and makes you feel very comfortable. He knows what he's doing. He can treat so many issues. He also has herbs you can purchase. And he accepts some insurances. So far I'm happy and will continue to see him weekly. My lower back went out and I stayed in bed for 3 days taking anti inflammatory and muscle relaxers with very very little improvement. I couldn't find a position to sit or lay down without feeling pain. The first day I went there,,,,I was able to lay on my back and left side...huuuuge after you spend 3 nights pretty much awake all night long, I already had a 2nd appt and going for the 3rd soon. I injured my foot back in March of this year helping a friend move. I didn't realize I had a pretty substantial fracture on the side of my foot until recently when I went to a podiatrist and had X-rays. Long story short, I've had severe pain near the fracture for months and just thought I twisted or sprained it. In turn, I developed additional nerve inflammation near the ball of my foot for compensating--I was just tired of waking up every morning with pain. I decided to give Alex a try...AMAZING! I've never been one for the whole acupuncture thing, but it really works! Alex is very professional and understanding. He truly understands the body and what it needs to heal! After my first session, I had much improvement...and after the second one--even better! I have another session coming up and he believes this will be it! I'll be healed. It really is incredible. Alex Kong who used to owned the Angel Touch Acupuncture in Sherman Oaks just moved to Woo Sung Acupuncture & Herbs recently. Alex has treated me since 2015. I knew Alex from my acupuncture doctor in West Virginia Dr.Lee. They are college friends. I was lucky enough that I am able to continue my treatment in LA. I had some severe spine problems from upper back to lower back and stiff neck history that caused me to have tension all over my body due my activities. Recently (Jan 2018), I came to Alex because I have been feeling pain and I hear popin' sound in my left shoulder (shoulder blade) that never goes away for months that might have been injured from my work out. On top of that, I felt down playing Ice Skating during Christmas that hurt my left hand wrist and my left hip. So I decided to go to Alex. Alex just treated me on spot to where I feel the pain. I was involved in a very serious car accident and got dozens of chiropractic treatments but none of them helped. I was then told about Alex and went to him. To be honest at 1st I didn't believe in acupuncture treatment but let me be the1st one to say that I was dead wrong. He did wonders for me. He took the pain away and I was able to do normal actvities. His treatment made my back feel much better (I had sever bulging disks in various sections). I have been suffering from nausea and abdominal pain ever since my appendectomy in March.
