One side of the store is mostly for women, especially in the medical field, and the other side has mostly work wear for the male population. Safety gear, especially hi-vis outerwear, is located to the right near the center of the store. Hardhats, work boots, gloves, leather belts, heavy duty socks - all are available. The Carhartt line of heavy duty work clothes is carried here. No need to freeze during the upcoming harsh winter months - get some Carhartts! They carry a good selection including Carhatt. Prices aren't great. The thing that got me is I tried on some clothes in the fitting room. There were already some womens clothes left on floor and the pants that didn't fit me were folded and left in the room. When I brought my clothes I wanted to buy to the counter, the lady asked me if I left any in the fitting room, then she left me holding my money at the counter, walked all the way to the back for the clothes, then brought them up front, refolded them and put them back on the shelf before ringing me up. This store has many options for the working class. There are a variety of scrubs, boots, jeans, chef wear, gloves, etc. Also if an item is not in the store or the store does not carry your size the associates are willing to do a special order for customers. I have shopped here numerous times, I especially like when Jenny is working, she creates an upbeat atmosphere while going the extra mile to help you find what you need. I was recently in Work 'n Gear on Wednesday, May 4th, 2016. I've been inside this store a million times before and went back because I love their selection for scrubs. When I got there about a half an hour before closing I was shopping for the brand I like best. While browsing, the cashier had her friend in the store and they were talking badly about someone. I could tell you this lady's salary, what she does for a living, and I probably could tell you some names of the people the friend works with as well. I was mortified that these women, the friend and the actual employee were dropping F bombs every other word. It was the trashiest thing I've ever witnessed. When it was my time to checkout, the cashier was ringing me up. She looked like she hated her job, would have rather been anywhere else, and had the worst attitude for working. Customers walked in while I was checking out about 10 minutes before closing. This cashier looked at me and I kid you not said "No one is here from 7-745, and they decide to come right before closing like I don't have an effing life or anything." I mean to each their own on their own thoughts but to talk about other customers right in front of another customer is extremely inappropriate. If you don't want to have a job, i'm sure there are many people who would gladly take your place. read more
