Today I went in there to purchase some scrubs with a gift card and the gift card wasn't working and the gentleman at the register was so helpful, called the store manager who wasn't on duty and she called corporate and got it all figured out. I went back to the store to received a new gift card and purchased the scrubs. The gentleman at the store was very very nice and respectful. read more

The staff virtually ignored me when I walked in and I am docking them a star for that since I was one of only two people there at the time. Looking around it seemed like they had a pretty good selection of work related gear (boots, scrubs, gloves, coats, etc...) but prices aren't cheap. That said, they did give me a discount on the boots I was buying, thanks to a special promotion I hadn't seen, so I can't complain too much. read more

Deserves -3 stars. Dishonest, incompetent staff. Awful business. My first encounter with Work'N Gear went as follows. My mother bought me a set of scrubs from there as a gift, which I needed to return as they weren't a good size. The employee printed a receipt for me and signed it. He told me that was all I would need to get store credit. I didn't use my store credit that day, which I apparently should have, as the next 2 times I returned I was told that my receipt was useless, and they had no proof I had returned anything. So this employee (whose name I wish I remembered) basically stole $40 from me. I swore I'd never go back, but unfortunately 2 years later I received a gift card from a different family member. I went looking for men's scrubs, of which their selection was extremely limited. One young lady kept directing me towards what she called "unisex" scrubs, which were wide-hipped, flair-legged, floral-patterned, and obviously designed for women. When I didn't find what I wanted, she told me that I could go on their website, find what I wanted there, and they could have it delivered to the store. So I came back a few days later with a list of items, and the SAME EMPLOYEE (the one who didn't understand the meaning of "unisex") told me that none of those items could be delived to the store. I gave up arguing with them at this point and left. I ended up selling my gift card for 1/2 price to a female coworker (with a warning about not trusting anything the employees say). Now whenever the subject of buying scrubs comes up, I tell people to stay FAR AWAY from this poor excuse for a business. read more

I went to this work n gear to return my newly bought boots on Tuesday the 22nd they're for my boyfriend who is a landscaper. I purchased the boots at the shrewsbury location for 155$. Monday the 28th my boyfriend comes home and the rubber has peeled off of the boot from the sole of the shoe!! I was upset spent this much for the boots to fall apart (this is not the stores fault just a bad batch of boots from keen-who was very helpful) so I took my receipt and went to work n gear she did the refund and handed me 25$ kind of had an attitude when I asked why I received this much back when I paid full price for the boots. She said o hold on let me get my manager because I thought you were doing the trade in I apologized and said no I'm sorry the boots sole is falling apart id like to get my money back please . So the manager immediately says to me "these are definitely worn " yes ma'am I know my boyfriend wore them for 3 days and this is what happened to them she said well I don't believe these shoes were brand new (even tho the receipt matches everything I even have the box ) and she told me to go to the store inbouhht them from the lady there is trying to accuse me of buying new boots at 155$ and then trying to return a beat up pair of boots for that price . No im not broke I'm not some junky if I paid this much they better be worth it and since there're not I want my money back and I proceeed to explain to her that she doesn't work outside to know what it's like to step into pretty much a sand box he wore them 3 times and this happened she said well if you shut your mouth you can have store credit I explained to her that clearly there was a bad batch of boots shipped to your store and I don't want to purchase shoes from here just give me the boots back read more
