I jumped on it early in December and snagged us appointments for January 3rd. Turns out, it was worth the wait! My massage therapist, Janine, was wonderful and my mom only spoke positively about her massage therapist, Hannah. I always know a massage is good when I fall asleep... and sure enough, I drifted off for a little spa nap. Mission accomplished! I also loved the quiet room and the showers afterward, which really extended the whole relaxation experience. While I've been to spas across the country with much more extravagant amenities, Woodhouse is a fantastic option for Buffalo. I felt it was very clean, calm, and exactly what you want from a quality day spa. My mom and I both left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and very happy we finally made it happen! She had some pre appointment questions which gave her a good idea of what I wanted and my skin type. Upon arrival it was obvious that she carefully went over my questionnaire and had great suggestions about what products and services to use in our appointment. Meg is very kind and knowledgeable about skin and it's apparent she's constantly learning about new products and services to stay at the cutting edge of her industry. I also appreciated that she has extensive experience with different ethnicities and skin types. The appointment was relaxing and I was glowing by the end. The place is located on the bottom floor of a commercial space. There are three massage rooms available, two which look to just house one bed each and then one which was able to accommodate two beds for a couple's massage. The whole place was appointed very tastefully, with little touches to enhance relaxation. We filled out a form asking about any particular problems or areas of focus, and we were able to talk about our goals for the experience with the therapists before they started. After we were undressed and on the table, the therapists turned down the lights and there was some calming music played. Our massages were extremely professional and relaxing. I know that I prefer a lighter massage, and Katie was great at making sure that I wasn't experiencing any pain but was still getting the circulation and muscle manipulation benefits. My fiance prefers a deeper massage, and his therapist was able to get some knots out of his neck that have been tense for awhile. I will post the photos of the very unprofessional response she left to my review and the appt confirmation I saw the reviews and gave this place a go, but I regret it. I had a bad experience and will NOT come back! There were people (her coworkers) walking in and out of the room during my appt, which was unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. She didn't ask me if it was okay or anything. I got a fibroblast done here with the owner, Maya, where I got permanent hypopigmentation spots on my face and dark burn marks from the pen she used. There are spots that are whiter or lighter than my skin, which means that my skin is depigmented and hypopigmented. She doesn't seem very skilled or knowledgeable with this treatment, so I don't recommend it here at all, even if it's cheaper than other places. Go to a professional like an NP or dermatologist for this treatment, or just don't do it at all. It just made my skin way worse. Now I have to spend so much money fixing this problem that may never leave It has caused me distress over my appearance since my skin got worse than when I came in and there's nothing that can fix it. When I left my review on Google, she told me that I had the wrong place. I've never been to her spa and to delete my review. When I updated it, she gave a very unprofessional response and said I'm not a real client. When people have a bad first experience somewhere, they don't feel comfortable returning, which is how I felt. I didn't feel comfortable reaching out or saying anything because of the way my appt was and the way I felt, and I didn't want to come back. And her reply definitely made me not want to reach out or disclose myself to her. Possibly fixing this issue I got from the fibroblast is something that is advanced and is best done by a health provider like a dermatologist, which is a fact I shared my personal experience and regret that I went here. I'm posting this again for other people to see that I personally don't recommend getting the fibroblast done here. The other treatments are probably fine, but fibroblast should be done by someone with nurse/doctor. Edit: the owner replied once again claiming I'm not a client and said I signed a consent form. This treatment was recommended by her and she reassured me it would work well with my skin and the reason my skin COMPLETELY dipigmented is because of her holding the pen in place too long and over and over in the same spot and constantly rubbing it afterwords with a qtip until it bled even though I told her to leave it so it's clearly due to her negligence and a lack of knowledge/skill issue because of the way in which she used it. Just the way she responds to her negative reviews speaks volumes on how she handles criticism. Any negative review is apparently not possible and everyone is a competitor. The way she responds makes you not even want to reach out. Very unprofessional. Do not recommend at all.
