The office space is open, clean, and inviting, with plenty of different nooks to suit every work style and need. I do sales and needed to utilize the phone booths for longer than the 15 minutes allotted, and staff was friendly and accommodating. I really appreciate Workzones. Pam runs a tight ship. Her staff is very customer service oriented and the place is super clean and comfortable. It's a great opportunity for me to get work done. Sometimes, I rent a 10 pack of office passes, which really is helpful for when I'm in town and then other times I just use the general co-working space. I was visiting family in Santa Barbara and had a very important job interview via Microsoft Teams and wanted a bit of privacy and professionalism. I popped my head into Workzones just a couple of hours before my meeting, reserved a spot, came back just a few minutes before my meeting (hectic day), was checked in very promptly, given a room and had a nice meeting in a small $30 per hour meeting room. I just can not say enough great things about Workzones work space. First and foremost, the staff and the management are all friendly and flexible and helpful. It's literally what convinced me to join up over at this gorgeous facility. The cost is quite reasonable. The other members are all socially fun entrepreneurial rock stars in their own fields. You meet interesting, fun and helpful contacts just by hang out without it ever feeling forced. The internet is rock solid throughout the facility, and every single work area contains numerous electrical outlets so you can plug in and get connected without any hassle or begging. There are clean equipped meeting rooms to rent for private phone calls or meetings. The rooms are available at a very affordable price: $9/hour. There are also small phone booths stocked with note pads and pens and a little shelf and bar stool for quick private calls. There's super fancy free coffee machine (vanilla latees etc.), clean filtered water and a refrigerator to bring lunch. Printing, scanning and copying are all complimentary (within reason) and it's all wirelessly attached for use throughout the entire facility. The printer is color and well maintained. If you want to pop out for a relaxing lunch, or a movie or a drink afterwards downtown, you can't beat the location. Workzones is right in the heart of Santa Barbara. Because of Workzones, I've come to appreciate the advantages and the joy of working in a downtown environment. The facility has a general area with a high ceiling and exposed wood beams, a lower ceiling area for phone calls (the phone zone) and a focus zone where people can really get into their work without distractions. Little things are well thought out like having higher tables so people can stand and work at times. Three small negatives: 1. If you're like me and need to get into your schpeel on the phone with clients, you may find the phone zone a little too intimate or you may have performance anxiety, concerned you are irritating other members even though the area is dedicated for calls. 2. You can't dedicate a space for things like a large monitor or other helpful office tools so you'll want to get tight with your work set up. As an alternative, you can rent a locker if you have private hardware to bring out each day. 3. The hours are slightly restrictive. They open at 8 for members and stay open towards 7. Saturdays are a short day from 10-2. This will be changing soon as they're converting the facility to be 24-7 with appropriate key entry system etc. One of my favorite things about Workzones is that the decor is clean and contemporary, warm and well cared for. The owners and help staff and the other members really care about this facility and how it affects communal productivity. I'm so impressed with the entire business model. Great job everyone. Did I mention yet that I just can not say enough good things about this place? i wish the owners and employees well in their efforts. These people really get it. read more

Workzones is fantastic for anyone needing a shared workspace! While I was starting up my new company, before we had offices of our own, Workzones provided everything we needed. The space is well designed. The staff is extremely helpful. The conference rooms are highly functional and well equipped. The internet is fast and reliable. And the coffee is great! I had several meetings with my partners and others at Workzones. Everything always went smoothly -- much better than squatting at a coffee shop. Bottom line is this: we were always comfortable and productive at Workzones. I highly recommend Workzones for anyone looking for a shared workspace. read more

If you want a place to go and work where you will ALWAYS feel personally known and warmly welcomed....then this is your place! Lisa, one of the owners, is a solid businesswoman and a caring person, who is honestly happy to see you walk in the door. I'm a solopreneur, and though I have a lovely home, I really like and need to have other bodies around me while I work. I find I can focus better when I'm in the midst of a shared space. And when I need a break or a cup of the ever-present yummy free coffee, all I have to do is put down my laptop and walk across the room, and voilà, there is always a friendly and helpful person at the ready! If you're located anywhere near Santa Barbara, I strongly recommend that you make a visit. There are even mixers and cool presentations for members to support you in living your life fully, developing your passions, realizing your dreams and offering your gifts into the world. I spent an entire workday at Workzones and am seriously considering a membership. The staff is friendly and nice, the drink bar is well stocked and tidy, the work areas are diverse-- perfect for any type of space you may need-- and well designed, and the internet is speedy! This is a much cheaper option than renting out a workspace or studio. I am still weighing the pros and cons, but I have much to think about thanks to the free trial. read more

They held two different size meeting rooms for me so I could chose which would work best, set up chairs, provided us with plates and platters and a knife for the snacks we'd brought, and generally bend over backwards to give us everything we needed. Friendly, attentive staff. I had to cancel my monthly membership because I didn't have use for a co-work space anymore, and the cancellation process was very easy and painless -- no hassle or anything. Just sent an email and signed a form and they took care of it for me quickly without making it difficult or challenging.
