I grabbed a beer from here and then walked it over and took it into Bourbon Street Bar & Grill for dinner. I thought it was cool I could do that. I guess they have the same owners. After dinner my family all came over to have some of their world famous Old Fashions. We sat in the back at their big table, drank Old Fashions, and played games. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. We probably tried all the Old Fashions. We even tried them smoked. We've not had them smoked the way they did them. They smoke the glass and ice, then they pour the Old Fashioned into the cup. Yummy.

They have an extensive menu of different takes on an old-fashioned, I ordered the classic. You can order off the menu from the restaurant next door and they'll bring it right to you. True to its name, the establishment is on the corner of a small shopping center with a large covered patio and outdoor fireplace before the entrance. I liked the twinkle lights and the digital display with a carousel of snarky quotes and jokes. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable - an ideal place to chill out for a bit.

He was super helpful and even let us try different dressings for our salads. There was this super anal retentive Mario that was a server also....his section was geometrically perfect, totally fung Shuy'd out and precise to the millimeter. You could look down the rows of tables and they all were in a row and perfect. Because why not, I moved a tent out of line. For payback, I asked for a short beer and got this. Love it and touche.

It is dog approved, and they even have options for your best friend. It is mostly your typical american food options, and then they throw in like a Thai noodle bowl, or Korean fried chicken bao buns. I think they try too much. Also, we have legit Korean and Thai restaurants in the metroplex, I wonder who is coming here for their pad thai? Someone must be. I do think they do some things really well. They change their menu seasonally, and I have had some really good and interesting salads. They have a decent happy hour and the service is friendly. I think the kitchen can be inconsistent. Sometimes really good, sometimes mediocre. But again I think that is just them doing too much. A jack of all trades is a master of none.
