This tiny but inviting restaurant has the best appetizers. The chicken gyoza with gyoza dipping sauce and pork spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce were fantastic. We got 2 noodle bowls , one chicken and one beef. The rice noodles were perfect but the broth was on the bland side and the beef and chicken were dry. World Grills is definitely my go-to Thai place for a quick lunch! The staff is always so friendly, and the young woman who owns this place works so hard at making sure you have a great meal. This small space has been filling up really quickly around lunchtime, so come early if possible! The restaurant is also BYOB so it's nice that you can bring a few beers to have with dinner. Everything is also really reasonably priced! My favorite dish here is the green curry with tofu and vegetables. I'm usually picky about tofu, but it's cooked well and doesn't get soggy. The veggies are always super fresh and crisp as well. The portions are pretty big and I always leave feeling really full! The only downside is that this place doesn't have pad Thai or other typical noodle dishes, which was a surprise but I am glad! That forced me out of my comfort zone a bit and got me to try to curry. read more

I have been eating here for a few years now. Some of the best Thai food I have found in the area. My favorite is the green curry - and they are gracious enough to make it on the "mild" side for me. Even at mild it has a good touch of heat. But the good Thai kind of spicy that lingers for a bit and then leaves a warmth in your mouth. Delicious! Tried the vegan fried rice for the first time today and it was amazing. Just the right amount of spices to make you want to keep eating long after you are full. Oh, what a gem to find in downtown York! Had the Bangkok style noodles, with rice vermicelli, chicken, fried tofu, served in sweet chili broth. Made an order for ALL vegan food. Checked the boxes for ALL vegan food. My order arrived with eggs in it. Called the restaurant and got the run around about getting my money back or exchanging the fried rice for vegan fried rice. The lady, waitress who is always there, says, "we won't exchange it." Not the first time either. Another time I had pork in vegan food that I ordered. I left a review, they never even apologized, nothing. The woman, waitress is rude. Demanded larger tips from us when we physically went in person and tried to humiliate us in front of other customers. (Also, my sons food was late and they had to fix his meal because they messed it up while we were there.) The crappy part is that we forgot our card that day and didn't realize it until it was time to pay. We left all of our cash. Enough to pay and a few extra dollars. But it wasn't good enough and she threw that in my face on the phone when I asked if we could exchange or be refunded for the fried rice that arrived with egg in it. I would never recommend this place again. There is no accountability when it comes to messing up orders, treats super loyal customers like crap, and she blames the customers for it. We ordered our last meal from them tonight. And it's too bad because we are weekly customers feeding four people. read more

Start with the appetizer sampler and stay for the Grilled Honey Cream Pork Thai Style, which is their signature dish. Prices are fair for the portions you receive as well as the quality of the dishes. I'd eat there almost every day if I was a man of means. read more
