First of all I have to say that immediately when I called in to order, the staff was impressive. Super nice and professional! We ordered takeout 2 chicken pad Thai, pineapple fried rice with chicken and shrimp. 2 orders of crispy Thai egg rolls. My son picked everything up and said the place was packed and beautiful. I was in this area for a pickleball tournament. I found this place as I was driving by this area. I am so glad I gave it a try. It was late afternoon so it wasn't very crowded. I was so thrilled to see roti canai on their menu as it is one of my favorite appetizers. It's Malaysian food and it's very good. Has some roots from India as we eat similar style of food. For entree, I ordered Thai basil fried rice. I am not a huge fan of scallops so I asked them to take it off. It was very delicious. Absolutely worth the stop. Service and ambiance were great. Tasty food, friendly service, small portion for the price. I was visiting a friend who suggested we grab lunch here. I opted for the Thai Basil chicken, which looked beautiful on the plate, but was a very small portion for $14. Maybe the lunch specials (not available on Sundays) are better sized. I had the Singapore Mei Fun and my daughter had the the Thai Sweet and Sour Chicken. I was worried the Thai Chicken would be too spicy for her but even without asking for it milder it was perfect. My Mei Fun had a nice subtle curry taste and was very good. We each ordered our go to roll of Spicy Tuna for me and Shrimp Tempura for her. They were delicious! Service was attentive. This was our first visit to the blue Koi Asian restaurant. I have to agree with the majority of the reviewers... This is a very good Thai/Asian restaurant. My wife and I shared the shrimp tempura roll and the fried calamari with spicy sauce as appetizers. I would give both a four out of five Star rating. My wife had the drunken noodles with beef entrée and I had an Asian stirfry with chicken, cashews and veggies. Both were excellent. My stirfry had very fresh vegetables, mushrooms and an excellent delicious sauce. It was not spicy enough for me and when I commented about this to the hostess she said that they purposely prepare all of their dishes "mild" so that their guests can choose a desired level of spiciness. Portion size was not a problem for us, like a few of the other reviewer's,... But I guess that's because we're always trying hard to fight the "battle of the bulge." This was my Birthday celebration. I had reservations for 6:45 pm, we got there on time, it was me and my two other friends. We got seated right away, but we waited for AN HOUR for someone just to come to our table and bring us water, during that time I told three time to other waiters that we need our waiter at our table and to bring us drinks and take order. I even tried to get attention of the person who worked front desk they saw me but comply ignored! Then we waited an other 40 min for them to take our order and of course maybe an other 40 min after for our food. Restaurant closes at 10:30. We were still finishing up our wine when they came to us and told us we must to leave as they closing. I told them that we waited for so long for water and to make our order that they can wait 15 min for us to finish wine! read more

Have gotten the same thing from here for over two years. I have had this happen a few times.. Tonight has changed my mind about being a regular customer. The avocado sushi roll has brown spots the avocado is very mushy and tastes like fish. The seaweed wrap is very dry and so chewy I can't swallow it. The rice is half cooked and also has a weird texture. I haven't eaten all day too busy at work. And now I can't eat this. For the price you pay the product should be fresh. Also missing a few pieces. They won't do anything to make it right either. Do not order anything to go from here on the weekend especially later in the evening. You will be sad. read more

I'm in love. Do not judge this restaurant by it's exterior. Blue Koi is located in a shopping center... but wow. Once you walk inside, the place gives off a totally different vibe. Very well put together...gorgeous interior, dim lighting... relaxing. Comfy booths with pretty decorative pillows on the cushions. The bathrooms were extremely clean, and gorgeous (as far as restrooms go). They put rocks in their sinks to give it a more serene look... I thought this was a nice touch. I came into the restaurant around 1:00. My boyfriend and I were the only ones in the restaurant. I feel like this place should definitely do more business. Easily the best asian restaurant in town, by far. I ordered 3 rolls for lunch, I always pick safe choices with sushi to judge the place on (california, spicy california, spicy tuna...hard to mess these up). My boyfriend had the teriyaki chicken. The lunch combo of sushi comes with miso soup. We also ordered the dumpling appetizer. EVERYTHING was great. It's hard to sell my boyfriend on a sushi joint, but he loved this place too. Also, I wanted to add... that you can tell this place is really picky about their presentation. We got takeout and the food was right on time. We ordered a few different things and everything was tasty except the pad Thai was not that good. The pad Thai was just noodles and 3 or 4 shrimp. That was strange considering the Drunken Noodles with tofu and Asian stir fry with chicken were quite good. Our appetizers ( spring roll, steamed pot stickers, and soup) hit their marks. We didn't order any sushi but when I arrived to pick up my food I took a look and the sushi bar looked fresh. I would definitely try the sushi.
