I came with my children we sat down at a table and was given a menu and after 30 seconds of being there my infant started crying and I immediately went to make a bottle. We love world grills, truly! My husband and I began frequenting this restaurant way back when I became vegan in 2017. They offer so many delicious vegan options including the green curry with tofu and veg (my favorite), the BYO soups, and some awesome vegan apps including the pumpkin empanadas which are out of this world good. My husband, who eats meat, also really enjoys them! When you call in, the woman on the line is always kind and confirms what is vegan and what is not. We haven't eaten in the restaurant for a bit, but I don't remember any issues with the service at all. It isn't a fancy restaurant by any means, but I have no doubts that they're serving up authentic Thai dishes. The spice level is off the charts, so make sure you order 1-2 spice levels below what you think you can handle. read more

This review is based solely on customer service. This place is not dine-in or kid-friendly. Upon entering, there is a sign that states: -Each dine-in customers must order one entree or two appetizers -A 20% surcharge will be added to the dine-in bill. -No public restrooms -No outside foods (baby food is ok) We were willing to comply to these terms because the rating for the food was good. We wanted to try the food so we asked to be seated, but they didn't have any highchairs. We had our 1-year-old and our 4-year-old with us and was sat at a 4-top. The party that was sat before us tried to order, but ended up leaving due to the entree/appetizer policy. I'm not sure if it was the owner or an employee that we met and I'm not sure if the other party had affected her mood, but when it came to our turn to order, she told us that we had to order one entrée or two appetizers per person. INCLUDING the kids. If we didn't order for the 1-year-old and 4-year-old as well, then she'd have to turn our 4-top into a 2-top. Essentially our kids would have to sit on our laps. By this point, the kids were antsy and hungry, so I had taken out baby puffs to keep them occupied. As we were trying to get clarification on the ordering and seating situation, she mentioned that outside foods were not allowed. To which, we said we thought baby foods were ok, but she made an issue about it because the 4-year-old grabbed some, who is not a baby. We had every intention of ordering some food from the menu for our daughter, but anyone with young kids know, if you give something to one, you had to give to the other. For the sake of keeping the peace, we had given the puffs to both kids. Even after all this, my husband was still willing to try the food. The lady said "why don't you just order take out and make it easier for everyone". I used to work in food service. I understand people have good days and bad days, but I was so shocked by the customer service we experienced today. We told her we'll try again another time. To which she gave us a hard time as we "had already used the restrooms, which was not good." We went to wash our hands because we had honestly expected to sit down and have a meal. Not child friendly at all. My husband and I enjoy Thai food. Our daughter does not. We have tried and tried to get her to eat it, but she remains picky. It's something we actively work on. We gave her a Pbj sandwich so that we could spend $50 in food for ourselves. I figure they'd find the value in us spending $50 there and allowing our child to eat a Pbj, but they did not. They demanded we pay $10 for her to eat a Pbj there or leave. So we left (I was in tears I was mortified), and drove 30 minutes back home to eat the cold takeout at home. That's an hour of driving wasted on this place we had been so very excited to try. They have a lot of vegetarian options, which really had me excited to try. When we got home, this is what my noodle bowl looked like. Half the broth wasn't in the container. :( We travel extensively due to my husband's work and therefore eat out all over the country and also in other countries. My daughter is well behaved at restaurants as we've taken her out often since she was born. She just doesn't always like the food. We've never had an issue bringing something for her before, so her dad and I can enjoy food that we like (and spend our money at the restaurant). Really upset that you have such little support for families. I respect that that's how you'd like to run your business. We won't be back out of respect for that policy. If you believe that we shouldn't have come because our daughter won't eat the food, even though we love it, that's obviously your right. The food was good but not for the money. 2 meals, summer roll and spring rolls $70?!?! They charge for BYOB, dine in surcharge, card fee, THEY EVER CHARGE 30 cents for a lemon wedge. Only 1 other person came in to dine while we were there. Between the 4 of us (went with another couple we dropped $140 at this place.) And the lady walks over and says 5 minutes before closing "okay we close now" while the other people were still eating beside us. Basically telling us to get out. He got a veggie bowl, I got a chicken bowl, we each got fried egg as a side (and slid them right into the bowl). The portion size is incredible- I ate until I was completely full, and it seemed like I had barely made a dent in my food! Plenty to take home for an excellent price. As for the taste of the food- I got medium/mild heat and that was perfect to warm my body and soul. I'm very impressed with the the broth- the flavor was strong enough to carry through and it was just the right amount of salt and heat for my preference. Been coming here pretty regularly for the past 5 years. Even during Covid, we would order take-out food to keep business coming to them. We regularly order their lemongrass chicken, panang curry, green curry, assorted bbq, as well as their noodle soups. Also have been trying several appetizers such as the Bulgogi Buns, fresh garden rolls, veggie dumplings, etc... Everything has been wonderfully flavorful and very fresh. The food is consistently wonderful, and keeps us coming back. The woman who runs the front takes good care of us - checking on us for beverage refills, etc... They know how to use spices in the kitchen. My suggestion would be to start with mild spice on your first visit, and then on subsequent visits, move up in the spice if you want more spice to your food. read more

Stopped in after a long day of hiking in the area to get some vegan food and we were immediately taken back by all the "rules". There was a 20% tip automatically added to your bill but if it wasn't at least $3 then they'd charge you that. Plus, if you wanted them to wrap it up at the end, it was an additional $1.25. They also had a strict no outside food or beverages rule where they'd charge you TWENTY dollars if you brought in your own food (see a previous review where someone brought their young daughter a PB&J and got charged for having her sit there). We were so thirsty and were nervous they might charge for tap water too, so we ended up ordering takeout instead. Overall, the food we ended up getting was good and the sauces were nice, but it would've been nice now that York was in the green phase to eat inside. read more

The presentation was undesirable and mainly consisted of young corn (yuck) and baby carrots that were cut in half. They were incredibly stingy with the soy sauce; served to me in a small cup approximately the size of one tablespoon. No thought was put into preparing this dish. A huge disappointment. She tells me "good and block this number.!" I also told her that I would leave a review that explained her behavior. I never touched the food. I drove 2 blocks away. It spilled all over my car. I will never return to that restaurant. As I said I understand that there is a pandemic going on, but I never even touched my food. She was rude and very nasty to me.
