Members don't keep masks on Doing cardio with mask fully down , at peak times. One even took his shirt off and aired it out. In weight room the guys are worse . If you politely ask to put mask up they get aggressive with you. I definitely will not renew Stay away during coronavirus since the staff won't take the right measures They do clean the place often but that doesn't help with an airborne virus when many people don't wear masks . They took a lot of peoples money during covid and still trying to charge people for it. The place went down after there name changed. Its all about tennis which is fine but the pool area dangerous. Once a light caught on fire and i moved my child out the way I told them and they said they do not speak english. Hot tub broken after 2 years. Nasty front desk lady and the owner was clueless and acted like a bathroom worker. Tresh!!!!! Swim lessons interfere with any workout. Hours suck and classes poor, personal trainers charge like 200 and dont do shit. Lame! read more

Horrible place! Feels like a Petri dish. Not clean, no responsibility for members not wearing face masks and many of disinfectant dispensers do not work. MANY of the aerobic machines are broken and remain unfixed in spite of frequent requests by members for repair. On the positive side , members are friendly and gym claims to have installed updated HVAC filtering system but overall this is a great gym if you want to get ill!! read more

This place has now been renamed to "LIHR Coram". A basic gym with a good variety of machines and racks. Flexible hours and it rarely gets crowded. Has lots of off-street parking spots. read more

F.Y.I: Who would've thought that a gym would be changing its look for 2012! World Gym recently had their RE-GRAND OPENING and what an event it was...There were all sorts of vendors there that could help you bring in the new year lookin' your best! The venue may not look big from the outside but surprise surprise...this gym has quite to offer. There's a pool, racquetball courts, group exercise rooms, two floors of equipment, and even a place to bring your kiddies while you get your workout on :) The staff are very friendly and it never seems to get to busy where you have to wait hours for a machine. The best part about this place is there is a physical therapy clinic inside of the gym!!! How awesome is that! Overall, World Gym is a great place to work out and people are real competitive when it come to racquetball (don't forget your goggles, safety first). If you need a place to start that new year's resolution to get fit & healthy...then get off your lil tush and get that "G" time! This is a great place to work out, they keep the place clean they have a new air system that helps keep the air circulation going great so it keeps out all the virus and bacteria very faithful you're not crowded on top of everybody like planet fitness that's just the overall great gym and I recommend anybody that's looking to get a real workout in to see real results read more

This place is awesome. It's so much than just a "gym" they have so much to offer. Kid friendly which is a plus for me!! Staff and management is very friendly and welcoming. I just joined had a membership a planet fitness paying 24 a month and at worlds they have the pool a sauna daycare raquetball they have swimming lessons they offer before and after care for the kids and a variety of sports for kids during the camp at an affordable price. Planet fitness is just cardio really cheap yes but honestly I pay the same price here for tons more! So worth it glad I joined and I can go whenever I want being the have the daycare which the staff is so friendly and it's very clean. Definitely recommend it to anyone especially if you need the daycare or any extra activities that they offer for the kids!! Plus 2complimentary personal trainer days to get you going for someone like me a beginner is perfect let them know what you want to focus on and they introduce you to the machines and what to use that may help you reach your goal. read more

I switched from Blink to come here and regret it all the time (damn contracts). The Setauket location is good but Coram sucks. Do the front desk employees ever acknowledge gym goers? I've been coming since January and can count on one hand the number of hellos I've gotten. The cardio equipment is old and not the best. They also have some sort of kids program which allows children (my guess is 12 and under) to use the cardio machines. They are "watched" by one staff member but when I've seen them the kids bounce from one thing to another and are all over the place. I'm all for kids exercising but there needs to be some structure and supervision. I'm counting down till my membership expires!! Don't waste your $$. read more

Im originally a member of the world gym in bay shore but with the membership you can use the Coram and Setauket location as well. I stop in here once a week because it is near one of my jobs. I have only been here a couple times around 4pm-5pm but when i am there it is not crowded. The staff is really friendly. The machines seem fairly new and the locker rooms are clean! I would recommend this gym to anyone looking to get in shape. They have a variety of classes and last time i was there i saw a sign for a weight loss forum! They seem to be very engaged with their clients. I wouldn't give it a 5 star because the cardio room seems a little small but like i said it is never crowded so you can always find a machine to use. World Gym is a great place to work out and very friendly individuals that work there. No drama and no pressure when you go and work out.

This gym was nice and convenient when I live near it. I've recently moved and they refused to cancel my membership like a normal gym would. They only work with paper. Nothing is done digitally which makes it very inconvenient to work with them. They wanted to give me a cancellation fee if I cancelled and they wanted proof I now live over 25 miles away from their business. I have not gone there for several months and all I asked for was a refund of the payment for this month. They said I will not be getting any refund from them because I should have cancelled before the 15th the prior month. The trainers and equipment there are great but the whole franchise needs to catch up to this century in how business is done. read more

The front desk girl working there, named Jaime, back in 2012 was super friendly, and very ATTENTIVE to her waiting customers and their struggling new workout partners. Someone from ES BOCES referred me there and they received a discount. I was a little wary of an older white man who would sit in his black car in the parking lot looking back at gym goers from his rearview mirror though. I even pointed it out to someone else. I am not from California - at least 6 times closer to Middle Country Rd in Coram but I don't know how to change the profile :/ read more

World Gym Coram is a fantastic gym no matter what your age or what your fitness goals. They literally have something for everyone. There are kids fitness programs for kids as young as 7 and silver sneakers programs for senior citizens. There is a huge free weight section downstairs as well as circuit machines, cable machines, and a separate spin room. There's a heated indoor pool, racquetball, and tons of awesome and unique classes. It is super clean and the staff couldn't be more friendly. Coming from other gyms, I find the atmosphere and the people the best around. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

World Gym runs a swimming program which is probably one of the most disorganized activities I have seen. They gave my two children's time slot away after I had informed the swim coordinator both in person and through text that we would miss one session. After going back the next week, what does the swim instructor tell me? Oh your time slot was given away. I'm still owed 5 lessons for each of my children. I am trying to get my money back from groupon for the 4 lessons we bought. My calls are being evaded because the receptionist tells me the coordinator is in the building then tells me he left. I hope I can redeem the money and go somewhere where people can keep track of what they say to their customers. After we paid for the first four lessons he cancelled on us 3-4 times. Don't sign up your children for swim lessons unless you want to be at the coordinator's schedule-not yours! This review is for the Coram location. read more
