They hire lots of holiday staff way early so the line goes fast which is appreciated. They had someone at the line hanging out ginger cookies to all the guests. Then that annoying moment happened- I lost my card and only had a little cash so I had to cut a few items. I kept saying I'm so sorry, I know how busy you guys are i dont mean to slow the line! And the cashier, John, said no worries at all--they can wait. He heped me sign up for an account right then and there to save 10 bucks and then cut the items quickly but not as if I were rushed or annoying him. Went above and beyond to ensure I had the best situation I could have had with my roadblocks. Seriously the nicest cashier ever. Thanks John! read more

This store is large and spacious. They have some unique items as well however, they lose me based on the quality of their items as well as price. Everything is grossly overpriced here is makes me cringe. If they were nice high quality products it would not be such a big deal but it's almost like Gordman's style products with a larger price tag. The store is fun to walk around and look at but really it's not worth the money. Just go to TJ Maxx home goods and pay a fraction of the cost and get a higher quality item. Great place for all sorts of things. There is a lot of unique things. Things from around the world. Mostly wines, foods, candies and some furnishings. Such a fun store. Hard to walk out without buying at least a little something. One of my favorites is the Hog Rub. Its a dry spice rub for pork but i use it on my chicken breasts. So good. So many things i couldn't possibly list near enough. Go check it out. read more

An interesting store with lots of indoor and outdoor furniture, costume jewelry, dishes, chair pillows, drapes, wine and a food selection for gifts. I enjoyed trying out the outdoor furniture, although these days, no matter where you live, the outdoor patio furniture gets stolen; even in nice neighborhoods. But nevertheless, my favorites were the real wood adirondack chairs in bright colors. read more

I am sad they moved locations as I loved and was used to the old one. Parking was much easier and I am a creature of habit. The new store is definitely more spacious and easier to move around - I think I just need to get used to it. This weekend from 1-4 you could get PG Tips buy one get one so we stocked up and the British husband was very pleased. My call was directly to Charlie, the furniture department manager and I was blown away at the customer service he provided. OK - my main reason for coming here was to pick up some Tim Tams. I recently visited Australia and got hooked on them. Now granted here they are call Arnott's which is actually the company that makes them but hey they taste the same so who cares. Other than that they have a great selection of food items from all over the world in addition to household goods and decorations. Bright, well-organized store, friendly staff. I'm a huge fan of World Market and am a member of their explorer rewards program. BUT this location did not impress me. We moved away from the Southlands area and this is the closest one to me. I seriously rather drive the half hour to go to the other location instead. And here is why: The staff wasn't as helpful. I was looking for a curtain rod and was wondering if they had more in stock so I asked someone for help. They said they probably didn't. It seemed they fall short on some of their stocked items. ALSO I saw a sign that said baskets were 25% off so going there on a budget was looking for a hamper at X amount of $$ to spend on one for my daughter's room. She picked one out (again with my approval on the cost). When we went to pay for it it was full price. I was told the cashier that there was a sign that said 25% off and she said she didn't think so. I went back there brought the sign to her and in fine print it has expired in February... it's April now. So it has been there for 3 months and no one in the staff bothered to remove it. AND to top it off they didn't even honor the falsely placed sign! I know for a fact that they would have at the other location... or any other store for that matter. I was just not impressed at all with this location! Never going back there again. read more

I like the different selections of goods sold here. I have bought many items from World Market; however, I had gone to purchase a secretary desk, which was out of stock. I drove to another World Market and got the desk. I got home and put it together, and realized the wood was chipped and scratched in several places. Customer service has failed to assist me with the issue. Likewise, I have had issues with their coupons and customer service in-store. Furthermore, the goods and items don't last long. They may look cool, but in the long run they fall apart. read more

The staff here are so nice and so amazingly helpful. I bought some outdoor furniture, and they went the extra mile to make sure that the piece I selected was to my satisfaction. There was a crack on one of the table legs, through no fault of theirs, but they were super helpful in getting it resolved. I love World Market. This store is no exception. It is big! The store feels very bright and airy. I didn't mind the previous location however. There's always some sort of treasure to be found, be it a bottle of wine, an interesting snack, or some sort of trinket. I would love to to be able to afford some of the furniture. I plan on coming back, the first time we went here it was closing so we kind of rushed through the store. I did purchase 2 adorable knobs for the kitchen cabinets and a coconut water :) read more

Went in to buy a couple quick things I needed for a party I'm having tomorrow night. Long story short, they were out of stock on all three things and would not sell the display models to me on any of them. When I took a phone call in the store and told my friend that I was having a difficult time spending money in World Market, the person helping me had a total attitude and was rude. Business must be good as there are plenty of places to spend money and get treated well in the process. I purchased all of my current furniture at World Market in Arizona and will not go back to them again. read more

I was in world market over the weekend looking for a new dinning table and was a little over whelmed by the selection of tables at such great prices. Thankfully the cute employee that helped me Jacob, showed me all the tables that best suited my need. He was by far the most knowledgeable sales man that has ever helped me at world market, from where/ how the furniture is made down to the type of wood it is he knew it ALL. I love it when someone goes above and beyond for excellent customer service and because of him i will defiantly shop there again and recommend all my friends to seek his help when they need new furniture. read more

Purchased 2 adirondack chairs and stools, after very nice and knowlegable salesman Don set me up with their new web program saved 20%. My husband tried to assemble and ran into an issue, called store GM Stan, who offered to build 2 new chairs for us within a few hours, returned the originals. We were able to enjoy a beautiful Easter playing croquet on front lawn and lounging in the comfort of new chairs. Thank you Cost Plus World Market Glendale CO for your polite and generious solution. I shopped at World Market for the last time. I had purchased curtains, but lost my receipt. I called and talked to a manager, who told me my receipt could be looked up with my phone number, and I could return them. I stopped by in the evening to do just that, when everything went wrong. The receipt was found in the system, but my credit card had been compromised [thanks, Target!] so I had a new card for the account. The cashier assured me it was no problem, and called a manger. The manager, Emily, refused to do the refund. She rudely told me that I can't return curtains without receipt. I told her about what other manager said. She told me that other manager made mistake. Emily then talked down to the cashier in a very condescending way while I was still there. The humiliated cashier apologized for her supervisor's behavior. I feel terrible for anyone who has to interact with this person. I learned my lesson, and will be staying far, far away from now on. read more
