I ordered the five fried wings. I saw the lady shake something on my wings before she handed me my order. I asked did she salt my wings and she stated it was not salt but ghost powder I looked at it in the car and it looked like salt. I took it back in and she said she could not refund my money. We tried this place after leaving an event in Covington to switch things up and it did not disappoint. I had the WOW club sandwich and it was one of the best club sandwiches I ever had, and by far the biggest. My party was greeted with enthusiasm and any questions that we had about the menu were answered in great detail. Apparently they have weekly specials including happy hours and even BOGO deals on beer. I will definitely keep this place in rotation when I'm in Covington. Owners have changed a couple of times in my 24 years of going there. They've joined all the other wing places oiling downsizing the wings. There sauces are okay heat levels are appropriate for the names they give them. The vendors are to blame for the small wings, some places have down sized to pigeon or canary winged. Okay that a n exaggeration but only by much? Service is usually quick but some days they get busy and it can take 15 minutes to get the wings. read more

The catfish is the best we've had in Georgia. I ordered a catfish & wing combo with (lemon pepper wings and they were so tasty). I ate so much I'm miserable - it was so good. I dipped my fries in their homemade tartar sauce because it's an addictive! Love their homemade Cole slaw. Thankfully I tried a bite of their banana chocolate cake while I waited on our dinner to be cooked because I wouldn't have gotten any and now I have some for tomorrow. Had a craving for catfish and a place on Washington St has hours picked by the owner and a dart board. Luckily my wife said let's try World of wings they use to be really good- they still are. Actually they are even better. The Catfish was awesome sides were right on the money. Hush puppies are on the sweet side, I prefer the savory/ plain. They have a good beer selection, definitely will be a regular place for catfish. Oh and the have regular normal hours of operation- who knew customer like that. read more

The wings are so tiny. Save your money-go to Wing Stop, they have decent size wings at a better menu price. Fries were not uniform and so soggy. Again go to Wing Stop you will be happy you did. Used to get celery-not anymore. Seems that after this restaurant had a fire everything changed and not for the better. Food is OK. but way over priced compared to other places. Wings are outrageously expensive. Many items on their menu have changed with the New owner and not for the better. You get less food but higher prices. Just nowhere as good as it use to be with the old owner. We have been regulars, at least once, if not twice a week for years. Hot Wing perfection? No, not quite. The Wings could have been crispier though admittedly I didn't request them extra crisp. I was surprised their "XX Hot" sauce actually offered a mild, but pleasant amount of heat. In retrospect I wished I had challenged myself with either their "Hellhole" or "Insanity" sauces. read more

The wing flavors are not the same and they don't seem to pay attention to the special instructions in the order (i.e. I asked for the wings to be XX crispy and they are barely cooked). They're extremely unprofessional, they have a piece of paper on the door saying they stop taking orders at 7:45. I called them at 7:40 and they did not pick up, I called about 5 times and no one answered. The lady came by the car and asked for a name and we told her we wanted to place an order. She says we stoped taking orders at 7:45 and walked away. It was 7:43, and honestly this spot was my last resort to get chicken for the food I had made at home. The chicken was not fresh. The wings had been sitting out; probably in the basket they are fried in,then sauced once an order comes in. There are signs posted stating " no refunds, no exchanges" etc., So in order not to cause an issue, I tossed the food and will not spend my money there again. This is our favorite wing joint. Found it by chance but have returned several times. This place is busy! Lots of takeout activity every time I've been there reflects their success in producing a good product. Even tried their fried rice and egg rolls and liked them. Local family owners are friendly and pleasant. Wings are cooked perfectly and not over cooked like many other wing joints. For me it is a bit of a drive to get there from the east side of McDonough but worth it. read more
