I'm writing this is real time as my pedicure just started. Im starting with 3 stars because she told me to come in at 10:30 and I waited 15 minutes. The lady at the front seems very frazzled which is understandable considering how busy it was but this is my 3rd time here and it's always this busy so it shouldn't be so surprising every time. My nail tech is very sweet but I had to ask for the menu to choose a pedicure. I chose the honey spa(it's my birthday treating myself to something different). For some reason she set a time the moment she sat down. I understand time management in a busy place like this but it feels rushed honestly. A lot of others in here seem very displeased but they know a lot of women by name so they must be regulars. The chair next to me was finished and the tech used bleach and a brush and water to clean the bowl so liking the sanitation. The color selection is top notch along with the decor. They should be mindful of what's on the Tv (there was a plastic surgery show that wasn't very relaxing lol). My timer went off in the middle of my massage. Molly did not stop or speed up. I'm bumping this to four stars JUST BECAUSE OF HER. If I come back it will be for her. The pedicure came with a oil/lotion massage, exfoliating scrub, scraping to get some dead skin off, and a paraffin wax treatment. This was a long review sorry but hope it helps! read more

If I could give this place no stars I would.Customer service is horrible! The ladies act like they work in a factory. They didn't make my pedicure feel relaxing at all the entire thing was rushed. One lady refused to turn my jets on during my pedicure because my feet needed to soak first. What sense does that make. They charge the same price for a child as an adult who doesn't need half the service my feet would have. Very rude and not welcoming. And then have the nerve to expect a tip at the end of the service. Don't waste your time or money here. The service I got was a pedicure and no chip manicure. The pedicure went great. However, the no chip lasted only 3 days. The tools they used didn't seem clean. They just pulled out of drawer. I went back to get it redone and then the next day another one chipped. I had to drive back twice in less then a week. It doesn't last 2 weeks so don't waste your money here. They also didn't go up to cuticle so my nails looked like they were super grown out when it was only on for 3 days. They took the no chip off no charge and covered the cost for the polish change for me because I didn't want to deal with the no chip again. read more

I've been to this place before and had a better experience the first time. When I walked in, one of the lights was flickering intensely. I understand things happen, but when 3 of your staff is just sitting around loudly talking together, I feel that's a little wrong. I was brought back to my seat and the girl went to turn on my chair while I was getting my shoes off. It wasn't working. Expecting to be moved, she filled the bowl regardless. I let the business do as it does, just observed. I was enjoying my soak when the woman started working on me. I had to ask to see the menu to pick out what I wanted - she was not going to offer it to me. She asked if I wanted my toes shorter, to which I said yes. She did not trim or file them. So why ask if you're not going to do it? I enjoyed the rest of my pedicure, but was also upset that my technician and the girls next to me were talking in another language, as they looked at and clearly talked about one of the girls toes. I would have been so embarrassed had that been me!! I think the most off putting was the women sitting around gabbing to each other. They were speaking loudly almost shouting in another language. Personally I come to be relaxed, this was quite the opposite. I enjoyed most of the pedicure aside from my back hurting because of the chair. I just received the Honey Spa Pedicure. The treatment was great and relaxing. But oh my gosh was the paint job TERRIBLE. From afar the nail looked okay I guess, but further inspection and I have polish all over my skin, uneven shape, etc. it's just a bad polish job. I would go back but I did it during my morning break I don't have time. I've been going to this place for years but the work just has gotten sloppier. Very disappointed. read more

It's seriously so embarrassing and I'm so sick of painting my nails to cover it up. Also, I had to buy a $15 nail repair polish to try to fix them. I come here every two weeks with my mom to get pedicures. This time, we were unusually rushed. Frank was in charge of doing my pedicure, and it was subpar. My feet were very manhandled. He would push my feet instead of telling me to switch legs, he scrubbed my feet until it felt like a layer of skin came off with a sponge that felt like a SOS pad, he filed my toenails and my skin too, he pulled my cuticles until I felt the need to scream. My whole experience was rushed beginning to end because when I looked over when I had the towels on my legs, my mom was only getting her feet scrubbed. VIP Nails is as good as it gets for nail salons in this category. The decor is top-notch, as is the service. They are often busy, so I would recommend making an appointment or planning on a little wait. It's easy to see why they are always busy, though. I have received pedicures at almost all the area nail salons and this is by far the best. The length and depth of massage was better than other places, and the standard use of hot towels is awesome. My manicure was just as nice... warm lotion, hot towels, long massage (all the way up to the elbow!) and expert care on my nails which were delicate from recently removing gels. This salon is clean and very well decorated, but you don't see that reflected in the price, which is pretty much identical to other places in the area. If you're in the mood for a soothing pedicure or manicure, I'd definitely recommend VIP over anywhere else around here. read more

I went here last night for a powder dip manicure. At my usual place it only takes less than 30 minutes for that type of manicure, I was there for over an hour and a half. The person doing my nails kept getting up to check people in and dictate to everyone working who was seeing who. She did this about 15 times and disappeared a few times too. My nails look awful and I have to go somewhere else to get them fixed. The dip is over my cuticles and very bulky. read more

Chaos, pure chaos. No hours posted. No prices posted. People EVERYWHERE and no one to help you. I only went here because my husband bought me a pedicure gift card for my birthday. I walked in on a Monday night around 6:30 p.m. There were 4-5 people at the front desk. I was very confused as to who was supposed to help me and no one really greeted me. I told one woman that I wanted a pedicure and then she walked away. A man behind the counter told me to pick my color. Then I went and followed the first woman back to the pedicure area and she acted surprised that I was there. The pedicure itself was very good, I will say that. The massage was great. I also got the design upsell another reviewer mentioned. During the pedicure I mentioned that I also wanted an eyebrow wax. I thought my technician told someone and had that lined up when my pedicure was over, but I just sat there waiting. I had to go back up to the counter and tell someone I wanted a wax. When I was done I went back up to the counter to pay for my wax and the waxing tech had disappeared, so I did never get to tip her. One thing that struck me as odd....my nail tech had a timer going while she was doing my pedi. The men (managers?) kept walking around and checking on all the techs. Nail salons have really upped their game in recent years and VIP was certainly up to the challenge! I joined a friend of mine for a mani/pedi session last Friday. I was really impressed with the layout and design of the place. You definitely felt like you were in a day spa, rather than a cheap nail salon. The quality of the furniture and decor is certainly a step up from most places I have been. The overall aesthetic was soothing and luxurious. The staff also seem a step above the typical unprofessional nail technicians at other salons. They are focused on their work, rather than talking on their cell phones and/or chatting to each other across the room. I was also greeted with a proper "how can I help you? Do you have an appointment? The wait is about 20 minutes" rather than the typical "What you want? You pick color, wait here" you get at other less professional locations. Despite it being mid-day on a Friday afternoon, the place was PACKED! I'd definitely recommend making an appointment if possible. However, walk-ins aren't too bad. I think I waited about 25 minutes for two slots to open up. I can imagine there is a far greater wait time on Saturdays or Sundays. read more

Went for a dip manicure Becky kept hitting my cuticle with the dremmel and then it skipped off my nail and took a chunk of skin. She was pulling at my cuticles with the nippers and it took over two hours. Now I am headed for an antibiotic and a tetanus. This was my second try for a dip here. Never again. read more

This is one of the larger pedicure places in the area with 10 pedicure massage chairs, so it's great if you are going in a small group. I've been happy with the pedicures and received great service the last couple times. The people are friendly, but there is a language barrier with some. The first time I was there I had a communication issue and was being sold on getting a design. I said no, but she kept asking and insisting, so I finally said yes. I wasn't sure what I was getting, and I ended up with a large white flower with a rhinestone. It was very pretty, but I'm 37 and a felt way too old for that. The friend I was with thought it was so funny and insisted that I needed to leave it. It was amusing, but now I just say no and ignore that up sell. LOL!! read more

The girl did both and her massages felt like she was barely touching me. And lasted MAYBE 30 seconds. Went to this salon this past weekend along with my mother. I received a pedicure and fill in. The guy who did my pedicure was pleasant and he did an okay job. But when it came to my fill in i was disappointed. I asked more than one nail technician if they could do a very simple design on my nails and they all said no. If you want designs on your nails this isn't the place. This nail salon is not up to date with trends. They only know how to do a basic polish and ombré (barely). Frustrated doesn't even begin to explain it. I went in 3 days ago to get a no chip and a pedicure. The girl that did my nails was very nice and my pedicure was okay. My no chip unfortunately could not have been worse. My nails were paper thin AFTER the no chip was put on. It was lumpy and the polish was almost see through in some spots. But I just said whatever and tipped her and left.last night which was 2 days later I have 1 nail chip and 2 are starting to lift. Now this morning I call and ask for a manager. She could not have been more rude , all I wanted was my nails fixed but after her being so rude I was seriously embarrassed to go there and get them redone. So I asked for her to just refund my card and I will go get them Re done at my usual spot. She refused and told me that I needed to come in and get them taken off in order for her to give me a refund. At this point I am so pissed because are you seriously going to waste even more of my time ?! It's almost Valentine's Day and I have a concert tomorrow that walking around with chipped nails is not something I want to do. I even offered to send her a picture if she wanted. But no she refused and made me come in. So I did. The girls were all standing around looking at my nails and talking to each other.. idk what they could be saying .. my nails were chipping everywhere! And all they did was make me feel uncomfortable. So they took them off .. kind of and take a look how they made me leave the salon. I have had no chip taken off hundreds of times and never looked like this. This business should be embarrassed and ashamed! Crystal needs to learn how to speak and treat customers. I will never be back or recommend this place to anyone. Do yourself a favor and go to TLC nails in Mokena it is worth a few minute further drive because you will NEVER be disappointed or talked about by any of the nail techs. Was so excited to try this place because of the color selection but was EXTREMELY unsatisfied with how my nails turned out. I wanted a coffin shape and the shape is nothing near that. The nail files were so cheap and flimsy I don't think the nails could be filed into a certain shape if they tried. The tips of my nails are uneven (slanted). The staff was nice but it seems this place care more about the quantity of the people they see versus the quality. Will not be returning nor recommending. read more

I made a pedicure appointment with Amber today! I was greeted right away and she did a wonderful job on my pedicure. I had an ingrown nail and she got it out without me having to ask her about it. She didn't talk much but I prefer to relax and not chat too much while getting a pedicure anyhow. The atmosphere was very calming and the salon was clean. I'm impressed. I've never been to a nail salon that pampered my hands and feet quite so much! The decor of the spa is very modern and well coordinated--unlike many nail "salons" that shlapped some white paint on the walls, added a few free promo pictures, and called the room complete. It reminds me a little of an Italian Villa with its creamy gold walls, and velvety vellure curtains seperating those being pampered via manicure, from those being pampered via pedicure--not to mention the flat screen TV's hanging on every wall. The staff at VIP was very nice and accomodating. I would suggest making an appointment on the weekends, as it seems to get pretty busy in there. I arrived by 9-9:30 on a Saturday morning and was able to walk right in and sit down at a table. Others arriving a half our later weren't so lucky. Above all, what makes VIP stand out to me are all of the little "extras" you receive. The lotion used during your hand and foot massage is kept warm, on the edge of hot, which seeps into your skin and muscles as they massage away--not to mention that the massage seems to run just a tinge longer than most. The hot towels that follow just seem so luxurious and comforting that it's hard not to be impressed. One complaint, and it may be a fluke, but the paint of my manicure barely lasted a week and a half before I was forced to take it off. This was my first experience at VIP, so I'd like to try it another time or two before make it formal. My theory is that they didn't cover my nails well enough with the top coat. read more

ive been going here for years and today I hit my breaking point. I had a nail tech, I've never had before and she was beyond rude. Wouldn't listen to anything I was saying, was very upset when I pointed out 3 of my nails were crooked, told me she already spent too much time on my nails. she did fix one of the 3 crooked, but that was it. When I tipped her she just turned around and walked away, didn't even say thank you Abe she didn't even deserve a tip! I leave and see the nail Polish is changing colors. I go back and get an amazing nail tech that I've had before fixes everything! I will not be returning to this nail salon ever again after that experience. This once efficient, relaxing nail salons has turned into a mill. I've never felt more rushed and less relaxed during a nail service than during my manicure and pedicure with Jamie. The pedicure chair I was in was loud and the massage feature had no power behind it. I feel like I wasted my money. I could've painted my nails at home and they'd look just as "good". Also, my feet still have rough spots. SHORT massages on both feet and hands as well. AND, she sat me down at ghe drying station and didn't even turn it on! I went in for an Express Manicure and came out with hang nails, cuticles not fully clipped and nail polish on my skin. I should have made a comment, but was on my way to another appt., which is why I got an Express this time. Also, I would recommend paying and/or tipping after the work is completed. The associate took one look at the 20% tip and I could read the displeasure on his face. I have been here many times and am usually happy, but I am not sure if the shop times the associates or they just do not care. After posting, I read some other reviews and I guess I am not alone. #Morgan: Writing identical replies does nothing but re-enforce the sentiment people have about your salon, your salon does not care. A proper response would be for the salon to offer a free do-over, followed up with a manager making sure the client is satisfied. read more

I have been going here for 3 years, they were really good in the beginning but since they have gotten much busier they do not care. Customer service is bad, they won't let your nails soak when taking off your no chip, instead they insist on shaving off the color bc they have no patience. Which makes the nails weaker. Recently, I went in and it was SO busy that no one knew what was going on. I walked out of my pedicure bc the water was cold and barely coming out!!! They really take extra time to make sure everything is perfect, at other places I feel like there's a huge rush to get people done. It is also huge so there is rarely ever a wait. Beautiful place in a relaxing spa like environment. Sometimes it all about the experience, especially for a service I can do myself. They also have a great selection of nail colors, and nail art. It was a get together with My BBF union and it was more about being in a place were we can be seated together and talk while getting mani/pedi. Price was moderate, mani/pedi is a good as anyplace, but not the best I've ever had, but again it depends on who you get there. Would recommend and would go back. read more
