The first couple times I came the nails were perfect but in the past year she stopped paying attention to when she was doing my nails. She filed one hand and then was playing on her phone for a good 10 minutes. I understand if she wants to talk on the phone with her headphones on but it's a different thing when she stops in the middle to play on it. I had to ask her multiple times to finish it because I don't have all day. When she would finally do my nails it was super rushed and as you can see from the pictures around the cuticles it's super uneven. When she was filing down my nails she was looking at her phone to the point it burnt. Honestly for the price you can go somewhere else and get a better and cheaper I paid $70 for acrylics. Don't get me wrong I don't mind paying for good nails if they're going to last me at least three weeks but they are so uneven and the nail polish is bumpy I had to go back to a different salon after three days to get it fixed because it started chipping. read more

THIS PLACE HAS GIVEN ME A TOE FUNGUS TWICE!! SO FREAKIN MAD!!! I got a fungus from Annabelle's about a year and half ago and since then have been adamant about getting my pedicures at Lifetime.. they are a very clean spa!! Love them for pedis!! But stupidly got one 3 week ago here and IT'S BACK!! I didn't notice til I went back again yesterday and they removed my polish!!! The nail is not attached about 1/3rd down my big toe nail!! Btw.. the old man cuts me every time too!! don't ask me why I went back! Last time this happened it took 9/12 months for that toenail to grow back last time.. I'm so pissed!!! They corrected the problem at lifetime (cut off about half my nail that wasn't attached to clear up fungus) and I had to treat it every night with medicine!! I'm so mad I have to deal with this problem again! I'm going in tomorrow to let them know what happened and they need to clean their equipment!!! RUSHED. JAGGED NAILS. WORKER SKIPPED IMPORTANT STEPS. Worse pedicure ever. I have never gave a bad review on anything ever before. But this was so bad. I went in, with no customers but me in there, for a pedicure and nail fill. The older man never once looked up at me or spoke. He didnt know what he was doing. He scraped bottom of my feet to the point im in terrible pain, and have a wedding at 5 today. He started to apply basecoat before even cleaning under my nails or filing them all evenly. I finally asked another worker if he was new that he didnt even do sides of nails.(there was still old polish on each side and she came over, rushed, started using nipper. Cut me a couple times. Applied polish without fully cleaning w remover first. So hurried. You can still see some of the dark glitter coming through my red polish)she claimed it was my own nail. None of my nails had black. It was def previous glitter he didnt get all the way off.) She applied coat 1, coat 2, then top with no dry time, so rushed. And wouldnt let me sit in chair to use massage while drying. I wasnt in any hurry at 11am so wanted to let dry while using back massage. She wouldnt let me. Said they needed to clean my chair. I asked if I could sit in any of the other 6 empty, she refused. The man turned off massage 1/2 way through while he used hand file. Jipped me out of my back massage. I mean no disrespect to older gentleman but I wasnt treated right. I paid because Im not a thief. And wasn't trying to get a free service. But told the girl she was treating me wrong and that I just was rushed and not given complete service. I didnt get my fingernails done, as I planned. Only when I took pic of their posted liscense on wall did old woman speak perfect english to ask me what I was doing. Previously, that same woman pretended to not know english. I went to this place based on proximity to my home and the reviews and I got a "no chip" and pedicure. First, the pedicure itself was ok. The older woman did a good job removing my dead skin and calluses, but was a bit rough and did not trim my cuticles and nails well. What I disliked the most was that the three people there rotated between customers in the salon. The younger woman painted my toes so fast and after years and years of pedicures, I doubted that my polish would last. I was right, the next day, my right big toe had half the polish on it after I showered. The no chip was fast and furious, the younger woman whipped through polishing and again I doubted my polish would last. Sure enough, two days later my thumb is chipped. I spent $82 on a no chip and pedicure and expect my nails to last at least 2.5 weeks. Especially since the no chips that I usually get last well over 3 weeks, AND the pedicure polish that I walked in with was done 7 weeks prior. I moved 35 miles from my old salon, and hate that I wasted money on a bad experience that lacked relaxation and value. Lastly, when I called to let them know my polish came off, Annie asked me what I did for the polish to come off. My response was, I went to your salon to get a good pedicure and didn't receive one. AWESOME!!! Came in a few minutes after 9 on a Saturday for a no-chip and was the only one in the shop. The receptionist took me immediately. She was friendly, talkative, and was very easy to understand. My take off and new set were done in 30 minutes. And they looked beautiful- better than places that charge more and take twice the time. It may not the closest nail salon, or the fanciest, but it's clean, fast, and worth it especially if you don't want to spend have the day in a place that feels like a cattle call. Its hard to find a nail place in the Orland Park area that is open before 10 AM. This was the only place open at 9 AM...so I thought I would give it a try. Great choice indeed. I believe the girl that took care of me her name was Kristen. She did my no chip manicure well worth the $37. I see someone say that was high...30-35 is the going rate,plus it's Orland Park. Kristen was honest,and helpful. Also,fixed up my nail that I broke last week. She mentioned to only use IBD for no chip,so I will be on the look out for that. Our poor experience started with the older guy who refused to listen to my repeated requests to NOT use the rotary nail trimmer on my nail bed. Three times I asked him to stop and it took my husband to intervene before he would stop. Then, he called me silly. He messed up my nails by forcing my flip on freshly painted nails. The owner came over and quickly tried to repair removing the base coat. She said it was still left on. Right. Then, there was the towel that fell on the ground and used again on my husbands feet, the cheese grater that I was made to leave my foot on for over five minutes while they didn't soak for even one minute, the hot towel wrap that has seen it's day, and the overall look, feel, and equipment that is old and outdated. Jan. 2014 (gave it 4 stars) -- I love the ambiance, cleanliness and staff (a great family place-named after owner's young daughter), but it does seem expensive for area. However always accommodating to get in without wait (usually no wait) and ample parking (plus away from annoying LaGrange traffic). 143 & a little west of Wolf. They do give great manis, gels, no-chips and pedis too. Also helpful with picking colors and offering advice. Ask for grandpa for foot massage...best! I wish they would lower prices a bit and offer coupons. Also they are friendly and speak English very well. Update March 2014-I've sensed a big dip in the friendly factor, attention, and quality. Just make sure when you get your nails done you are clear with what you want and don't just let them decide. I almost walked out with the worst gel french manicure I've ever seen. As in too much white and it started way below skin so fingers looked stubby. Nail was half white and half nail color. I didn't really pay attention as it happened and then it was too late. Wish they just did one and showed or asked what I prefer (some like lots of white I guess). Ended up getting color instead and two nails are super lumpy...kinda seemed like a result of ego bruising. They always say come back if u want it fixed...but I shouldn't have too. Might start looking around. Keep me posted if they turn it back around. read more

Wow I am so upset with this place! I got a gel fill in here.. first off, it was so rushed. She skipped a bunch of steps. She was too much in a hurry to do a half was decent job. Afterward, she left the gel on my fingers and I had to remove it later. When I got my bill it came out to $45! For a fill in!? I've never paid more than $35. 2 days later my nails started to chip! What?? I didn't know it was possible for gel nails to even chip. I've had these for years now and I've never had any issues with my nails chipping or flaking until I came to this place. I just want to tell everyone about the worst customer service I've ever recieved at Annabelle Nails in Orland Park. So bad that I feel the need to tell everyone. It takes a lot to upset me. Today I wanted to treat my mom to getting her nails done. She works hard and hasn't ever had a nice manicure. Annabelle nails opened up next to my work (on 143rd and Wolf) not too long ago and i always wanted to try them out. We go there and I grabbed a menu from the front of the nail salon. I told them that my mom wanted to get the Deluxe Manicure and I would be getting the basic manicure. I'm in the chair for about 8 minutes and she's already putting my base coat on to prep my nails for polish. She completely skipped out on any lotion/hand massage. Never was I told to go wash my hands. I'm thinking "okay maybe there was a miscommunication and she thought I only wanted them cleaned up or something and not a full manicure. I don't want to make a fuss because I want my mom to have a nice experience." The entire time I'm getting my nails done I'm watching them work on my mom. Only 15 minutes has gone by since the time we walked into the place. Usually a manicure would last at least 30 minutes, especially a deluxe manicure. They are prepping her nails to be polished and at no point did they do the "crystal gel activator", "dip into warm paraffin wax", or "finish with a lotion. " All she got was nail shaping and the exfoliator. They finished up with our nails and as we we waiting for them to dry I told my mom that they didn't do half of the things that were on the menu and asked if I should say something. The lady walks up and tell us the price was going to be $50. I opened up the menu in front of the girl and pointed "the menu says it includes this, this, and this for these manicures." She immediately got defensive, started raising her voice and told me it was an old menu and their parafin machine is dirty but if we want we can do it for an additional $9. (It really made no sense and it was hard understanding her broken english.) I said calmly "well I was under the impression we would be receiving this, this, and this and paying this price for it. We didn't receive half of what the menu said.. and therefore I don't think I should have to pay full price. Either I want a discount or you're not going to get my business again." She crossed her arms like a little kid with an attitude and said "that's fine, I don't care." By this point I'm just stunned. I ask "who is your manager?" She says "I'M the manager." By this point the argument was getting really heated. I say "well I do hair at Hair Cuttery a few doors down and I am asked about 10 times a week if you guys are any good. We have a lot of clients and it would be a mistake to give me poor customer service and treat me this way. I've never seen such horrible customer service in my life especially from a manager." She says "I don't care, i have a lot of clients too!" I say "okay, you can take my money, but this is ridiculous. It says on your menu in the front of the store what your services are, but you don't complete them and charge full price. That's false advertising. I'm letting everyone know." She says "that's fine, whatever!" And I walked out. Really lady? I was just dumbfounded. The place was so shabby inside with a little kid running around. This place really can't afford losing any business, especially just opening up in the middle of Orland less than a year ago. I've never been treated so disrespectfully. I'm not the type of person who looks for free stuff, I just really felt ripped off and treated so poorly, especially being a first time client. So basically I just wanted to let all you ladies from Orland/Homer Glen know to not go to this salon unless you like extremely rude management, low quality work, and having to pay full price for half finished work. read more

Went here once to get my OPI no-chip removed that I'd had done at a different place. They were quick to greet me, pleasant. I was surprised that I was the only client in there as the other place I usually go to seems to be crowded all hours. I don't get my nails done often, especially a no-chip, so I wasn't sure how it was done exactly, but I did know that I would have my nails wrapped up in foil with polish remover and have to wait for a while. Well, I didn't wait too long before the manicurist started removing the foils. She mentioned that OPI is not a good brand to use for no-chip because it damages the nail. (I've had about 3 no-chips done in the last 3 years with OPI and with no problems--other than the after the first time I had it done and I essentially peeled the color off. Bad.) Anyway, she starts scraping the polish off my nails as she's telling me there are better products out there. I'm thinking...this scraping is feeling uncomfortable and I'm wondering if my nails are getting abraded off with the process, not unlike when I peeled off my color. That left my nails paper-thin and fragile. I left Annabelle's with my nails in a delicate condition. I am not sure if I was rushed through the removal process because it was later in the evening or what. I haven't been back since. read more
