    Acrylic nails by Yen
    Grace K.

Yen (I think was her name) did my nails so well! So happy with the way they turned out! My favorite set thus far!

The lady who did my pedicure was rude and injured my big toe. She not only filed it way too short, she cut it open so bad it is now bleeding and throbbing in pain. I didn't think it was that bad until I got in the car and saw it still bleeding. When she put alcohol on the toe, and I winced in pain from it stinging an open wound, she laughed. I will never come here again.

Everyone was very nice and polite. My nails look amazing! Just showed him the picture. Thanks nick :) amazing service.

Not a great pedi unfortunately :(

I'm so bummed to have to give this new place two stars. The good: discounted pricing to celebrate the opening, good color selection, clean and sterile (equipment was definitely sterilized), good service at check-in. But...the young woman who did my pedi was very (very) inexperienced. Took a lot longer than it should of and was a very awkward experience. I would have no problem accommodating a tech in training but feel like you need to tell the customer or ideally, adjust the price-? My nails are a weird shape and I couldn't wait till she was done cutting my cuticles because she was so unconfident and lacked the skill. So my advice is to make an appointment with someone if you want a really awesome experience. I hate to be overly critical but this was a very unusual service.

I've been here 3 times since it opened and had pretty good experiences each time, however, my husband went today for a basic manicure and it is horrendous. This picture is from AFTER he got his manicure. He now has to visit a different salon to get it fixed and cleaned up, so we're spending double the money. Definitely hard to justify spending money at a business when this is a potential final product.

Ombré nails, with 2 designs and coffin shape

I went to design nails, looking for a nice nail place around the area. After a bad dip powder job with top layer flaking in less than a week I was done with LA nails. I was determined to find a nail tech that did not hurry me out the door or overbook the salon on entry. When I walked in, the front desk lady knew what I needed to have done and asked for specific elaboration. The colors were organized and easy to decipher and pick out. Nick, my nail tech worked meticulously and paid well attention to detail. He took his time, while also directing his staff. I assume he was also in a position of management. We traded pleasantries and he checked in to see if I was satisfied. I ordered two designs and was charged accordingly. Ombré nails, 2 designs and a coffin shape was around 60, which was expected. The only critique was the end of the coffin shape was sharp, so I filed it myself briefly after I got home. I will be coming back again and asking for Nick! Very cute design that was delivered perfectly and was exactly what I wanted!

love how it turned out !

It was extremely crowded for a weekday morning, but I decided to wait. A male nail tech greeted me and said the wait would be about 25 minutes. I picked the colors I preferred and took a seat. The wait was about 30 minutes, just like I was told. The front area of the salon felt cramped because it was so crowded, but it was reasonably comfortable and quiet. Most of the customers appeared to be middle-aged housewife types and/or college-aged kids. All the nail techs were polite, but most of them didn't seem eager to engage with customers, which is fine. Anyway, the male tech that initially greeted me eventually told me I could go to the back. A sweet young lady ended up working with me. I don't recall her name, but she appeared to be younger. She did a nice job on my nails. She did my pedicure first, and when it was time to do my manicure, we couldn't find the color I'd selected. Someone had picked it up and walked off with it, so I ended up having to pick another color. The nail tools that were used were sterilized, and the salon appeared to be clean. The manicure and pedicure cost $55, which is fairly reasonable. I didn't have any cash on me, so I was able to tip my nail tech via Zelle. I tip generously when the service is good, so I sent her $20. The young lady took her time, and the service didn't feel rushed, which was appreciated. I'd definitely return to TLC Nails in the future.

I have had this done before with the nails its the whole concept if getting them. Brought this up to the mgr he at 1st seemed shocked but then decided to favor technician. I asked GROK this is their reply: , Gel X gel and Gel X nai ls are not exactly the same, though they are closely related as part of the same nail enhancement system. Gel-X (often stylized this way) is a popular soft gel nail extension system developed by Aprés Nail. The "Gel X nails" refer to the finished nail extensions: pre-formed, full-coverage tips made from 100% soft gel that are applied to your natural nails to create length, shape, and strength. These tips are lightweight, flexible, and designed to mimic natural nails, offering an alternative to acrylics or hard gel without the bulk or damage.0435b8 They are adhered using a specific process involving prep products like pH bonder and then cured under a UV/LED lamp.233391aeecdb On the other hand, "Gel X gel" typically refers to the gel products used within this system, such as the Extend Gel (a soak-off adhesive gel applied to bond the tips to your nails) or the soft gel material that the tips themselves are made from.b641d9c8718b It's not a standalone term for a different type of gel polish or manicure--it's a component of the Gel-X process. In essence, the gel enables the application and durability of the Gel-X nails, but the nails themselves are the end result. If you're referring to something else (like a specific brand or product variation), feel free to clarify for more details! I definitely will not be going back! Too lazy to do the job properly!

When I walked in, I clearly asked for a dip manicure -- it's what I had on and what I always get. The tech removed my old set and started applying what I thought was the base for dip, but it turned out she was doing an acrylic overlay instead. I only realized something was off when they pulled out the no-chip/gel polish. I mentioned again that I asked for dip, and the male tech tried to tell me what I had on before was no-chip (it wasn't -- it was dip, just with a design on one nail). I explained I get dip because it adds strength, which I need for my hands-on job. Instead of fixing it, they just added a layer of builder gel and said it would help. It's now Monday, and one of my nails already broke -- literally just from putting on my shoes. My dip manicures normally last 4+ weeks without any issues. If I weren't traveling internationally for work right now, I'd go back and demand a refund. Really disappointed that I didn't get the service I asked (and paid) for, and that it didn't even last the weekend.

Sadly, I found out the hard way that every 2 weeks for a year isn't enough. I try for once a month, sometimes twice, an eyebrow and lip wax. I have never had nor needed one and was quite shocked when she spread the wax on my chin. Before I could say anything, she said for me not to worry and that she had seen some hairs and RIPPED the wax off - along with my skin! Afterwards, while getting my nails done, I could feel the continued stinging and finally cried out to the nail technician who immediately began to assist in relieving my pain. She grabbed the tech who made the mistake, and she apologized while running out to get medicine to help. After waiting for 30 minutes, I left. The owner actually tried to make me pay, as customers were asking if I was going to be ok! HE didn't give 1 ounce of care or take accountability for his technician's mistake. He simply was telling everyone there was "a communication confusion." WILL NEVER, EVER GO BACK!
