I just got out of my foot surgery and they were on time and waiting for me. I can't say enough best thing about World Trans. I called other medical transport and quite a few they don't even call me back. And I am so surprise those got excellent ratings. But not World Trans. They answer my calls for quotes, answered the call when I gave them updated info, worked professionally with the surgery center to arrange for the time of transport. My mother, with a broken femur, was 10 minutes late getting out of the doctor's office and Elena, the CEO of this company, called the driver and me and was pissed. She said, "The driver could have picked up another customer!" Keep in mind that when you tell Elena that you're ready for pickup, she says, "They'll pick you up anywhere from zero to 45 minutes." She kept calling the driver while he was driving, because of the extra 10 minute wait. She then called him while I was wheeling my mother into the home and demanded to speak with me! I was busy. She charged us $60 for the 10 minute wait. I paid. She's rude and aggressive and thinks about money over all. The drivers were stellar though. They should quit. read more

For the first time, I used a medical van earlier this month when I needed a ride home from the hospital following an outpatient procedure. After checking Yelp reviews, I called several services in the San Fernando Valley, and Gene at World Trans was by far the most professional and responsive out of five people with whom I spoke at different companies. Gene took the time to answer all of my questions beforehand about pickup timing, pricing, and coordination with the hospital at discharge, and the transportation was flawless on the day of my surgery. I needed to wait less than two minutes for the van once I was discharged, and the driver--I don't remember his name--was professional and affable on the drive home. The van was clean, modern, and smoke-free. Because I was ambulatory, I can't speak to the company's transportation of people who are not ambulatory, but the van that I was in was capable of accommodating a wheelchair. Pricing for the one-way trip was also competitive, and there were no surprises or additional fees; Gene sent an electronic invoice when I made the reservation, and I paid via PayPal when I received the invoice. I didn't need to do anything administrative on the day of surgery. Medical transportation is one of those services that I hope I never need again, but if I do, I will use World Trans without hesitation. read more

I contacted World Trans trying to receive a quote for transporting a handicap grandma from skilled nursing home to my house for thanksgiving. The person that assisted me was extremely unprofessional. He asked for an address so while I tried to google the skilled nursing home, he didn't want to wait. He didn't even want to check for additional availabiliies. The customer service was a negative 10. I do not recommend the place to anyone. Don't trust them to transport your love ones. read more

Superb Customer Service!! -- I contacted and spoke to Gene regarding transportation home from the hospital for my wife. Not knowing exactly what time or how long the hospital discharge would take, Gene reassured me that when I knew the time of release, he would arrange the service as close to the time as possible. I am now my Father's sole care-taker. He is a double-amputee and is wheelchair bound. He broke his left arm on November 16th (he's left handed) and when he was discharged from the hospital, I didn't know how I was going to be able to transport him from the hospital to the skilled nursing facility for rehab. I was given a number for World Transport and talked to Elena. She was just the best. She booked everything and then when Kaiser took forever to discharge my Father and decided he needed a gurney transport rather than a wheelchair transport, Elena was right on top of it. She made sure the right van and driver were available, by actually calling someone back to work for night transport. I called her again for my Dad's appointment today at the Kaiser facility an hour away from me. Our driver, Abdul, pretty much did everything for my Dad - including wheeling him where ever he needed to go. He didn't just take him out the van and hand him over to me. World Transport and Elena and Abdul (our driver) were life-savers for me when I was feeling very lost in how to handle things and my Dad got the best care I could hope for.
