It is really great to see people doing great things for the community. This organization works to…read moreraise money by repairing and selling bikes. They also give bikes to children through local agencies and businesses. I've purchased a few bikes from them in the past and been quite happy. The staff are friendly. Their is a noticeable difference in knowledge between the trainers and the trainees. What I noticed this trip was that a lot of the bikes seemed overpriced. For instance, there was a used bike for $120 that I could buy new at Walmart for $140 (plus tax). I don't know what changed but it didn't feel like a good deal to buy a bike there any longer. Perhaps the Bike Swap is a good option.

I'm a frequent shopper.. Purchased some Hoka's back in November- but one side started ripping - so I returned and purchased another On shoes.. Surprisingly they did not fit.. (yet I have four pairs that are the same size and fit).. go figure- Returned them and started browsing in store.. Just my luck- found a nice On pair- I like these because it's really not messy on the upper.. Noticed an email on the Rei app about the new On Cloudsurfer 2 trail running-.. And how do you NOT spend $50 on every visit here... Came here to check out bikes, mountain bikes, e-bikes, etc. But ending up buying a new boot on clearance. Atmosphere - Good size location. Plenty of private parking. Service - Mostly self service. The shoe salesperson, the only person helping 10 people, did a good job. There were 4 people working in the bike area, and no one acknowledged me?!?! And these bikes go for like $7k. I am not sure I want an e-bike yet; I just want to stay as young and long as possible. Very friendly salesperson. Price - $150 ish. Good deal for the quality of boot I got. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1938! I like the COOP concept and $30 lifetime membership model. Many of my friends are loyal customers due to this model. You created a good and strong culture. Keep up the good work.

I went here looking for a bike lock and got a nice one at a fair price. They were a solid pair from a road bicycle that appear to have a sealed bearing, which is quality for certain. He also gave me some tips for a long bike tour that I was about to undertake. He was very honest and candid with me and didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need, even though I asked him specifically what he would recommend to me. He mentioned the shop is largely for the community and is a charity of sorts. When I was there they had an open bike repair center - where you are free to use the tools they have to fix your bicycle. There were a number of children there taking advantage of this free service offered. A great place to stop by if you are on a tour and could use some parts/components cheap, need to use the tools or gain some insight from the workers there.

This was my very first time looking up a bicycle shop because my step son's bike needed a new tube…read moreand tire. There's so many options on Yelp, I just went for this one. This is up where Bonanza is and I live down in South Reno. Silly me, I know. Results, they didn't call me when they have finished. I had to call them and it was nearly late afternoon when I had dropped it off early because they said they can finish it early. My stepson was eager to get his bike back. All I wanted was to be informed that it was done, that's all. Pricing itself was pretty fair. They changed his tires into a dirt tire which was awesome so now he has hybrid tires! Even tough it's a kid bike, labor counts so Thankyou for the awesome job! The owner is really friendly and his staffs too. (During this time, all wore their masks. That's always a plus.)

I was riding my road bike for a 25mi loop and around 14mi got a flat tire. I was right next to the…read moreshop when it happened. I changed my tire and the store guys were super friendly and helpful. They let me use their air pump to pump up my tire vs my hand pump. Saved me 15 mins and hand cramps. They had a big selection of e-bikes and I have been interested in trying them out on some trails. When I do decide on an e-bike or even to rent, I'll come by this shop mainly because of how friendly they were!

Service after the sale? YES…read more I felt a bit silly afterwards, but these new e-bikes are complex beasts that I hesitate to tweak without knowing how to. These share only basic DNA with the Huffy and Schwinn bikes I grew up riding and tricking out. I stopped in because something had come loose. I felt confident I was in good hands. After missing my bike for a few days, I realized I had no receipt or proof that I had handed over my bike. I remembered something about an email receipt but couldn't find one, so I called. Got their automated phone reply that they would call me. No call. Still missing my bike desperately and worrying about no receipt I called again. Same automated reply that they would call me. On day 10, the estimated finish date, I went down to the shop and parked in the loading dock area and tried to get in. Couldn't so I called, surprisingly they answered, and served up a little attitude about a front door. Whatever! A shorter gentleman let me in and said he hadn't called me back yet, as they are closed on Mondays, it was Tuesday, and the earlier call was not returned either. He let me know the parts just came in and it would probably be done that day. No call. I got an automated text that my bike was ready for pick up...after they had closed for the day. I picked up the following day. Same shorter guy with attitude but I did see the nicer original guy. He apparently doesn't have an issue with people coming and going out the loading dock area and allowed me to take my bike that way, unfortunately I wasn't parked back there, due to attitude guy from day before. The guy with polka dot socks is super nice too. Overall a good experience, and my bike has never been so clean... one star reduction for attitude and no call backs.
