Brought in 2 bikes for a tune up, new grips, new chain, new brakes, and a few other things. Bikes were both about 10 years old and needed it. The owner John was very nice, made a few suggestions, and all in all did a great job on our bikes. Also fixed the gears so they move and switch like new. The bikes are like brand new right now. Bikes have become quite expensive over the years , the average good bike being from 500 to 1000 dollars! So mine are here to stay. Will bring them back again if anything needs to be done. From helping me find the right Giant Mountain Bike, putting on the kick stand, adding slime to the tires, adding the front and rear head lights, water bottle cage, bike pump holder and adding an extra bike tube to the fix it kit bag...and then if that wasn't enough, for a nominal fee, delivered the new Mountain Bike to Lemmon Valley. Although this shop is the furthest from my home (35 min) I found Jeremy & John to be very know, friendly, not pushy and willing to take time to talk to me, explain things, and really want to know my needs. About 6 months ago, during the off-season, I purchased a "trailer" for my two small dogs to ride in once I got a bicycle. Fast forward to April and I purchase a bike got home only to see that the setup of the rear axle looked nothing like the instructions. A friend of mine suggested loading my bike into the back of my Jeep and taking it to a bike shop. Instead of doing that, I took a picture and the coupler to Giant Reno Sparks to ask if they could help out. The bike mechanic there looked at the picture and the coupler, knowing exactly what to do, he showed me how to do it! I wasn't expecting this!! He pulled another bicycle out of the backroom so he could completely walk me through the process! When I got home, I have now installed the coupler and hooked up the little trailer, taking it for a short test ride. No dogs in it yet as I want to make sure I am comfortable it before I put my furry kids in it. I figured I would spend probably $60-$100 to get the coupler installed. I was in town seeing family and called the day before my trip to see if they had the bike I wanted in stock, not only was it in stock but they put it on hold for me for 24 hours. When I got to the shop I was greeted right away they pulled the bike out got it all inspected and tightened up. We took it out behind the shop and I tested it out I was in and out in 20 minutes. It sure is nice to have a bike shop back in sparks, and even better five minutes from my house. Located in the old scolari's strip mall on disc dr , there is plenty of parking. They carry Giant brand bikes, road bikes, mtn bikes and kids bikes. They have a good selection of bikes as well as parts. They have a full service repair shop, from flat repair to full blown tune up. I brought my recumbent in because i was slowly losing air in the back tire , and i could not find the leak. They diagnosed it as a leaky valve , fixed it and did not even charge me. Pretty cool. My husband has been doing research on bikes now for a couple months and when he found out there was a giant store down the street from our house he decided to check it out. Sean has been helping him the entire time and helped him find the bike he has been wanting. Sean was patient, helpful, and had great knowledge about the bike my husband wanted. He told him they can order the bike and then put it together at their shop. We ordered the bike online Monday morning and Sean called me Wednesday evening to let me know the bike was delivered and already put together even though he would be the only person working that day he still had it done.
