I wanted to write this about Jenn and her company Worth A Shot Events she has done two big sized parties for me now and every time hits it out of the park. She is so detail oriented takes care of everything so that you can enjoy your event she is very professional and her staff is top notch I'm not one to write these reviews BUT every time she seems to exceed my expectations. I got married October 22 and hands down the best decision I made was hiring a wedding planner/day of coordinator. My wife and I planned most of the wedding ourselves but then came across Jennifer from Worth a Shot events about halfway through our planning. She was PHENOMENAL throughout the whole process. My wife and I kept saying we should have just hired her from the beginning. She took care of EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. Anything that we had planned already she went over and helped us with all of our final touches. There were some things that we didn't even realize we needed. Any vendors that we had booked already she looked into their pricing and made sure they had the best deal. If she found a better deal she let us know and we were even able to save a bit of money. She planned our entire after party and provided everything we needed so we didn't have to do a thing. She provided us a time line for our ceremony, reception, and after party. She wrote everything out for us so it was clear and everything went just as it was written. She showed up well before we arrived for photos at the venue and did not leave until well after the after party. She stayed on top of everything. The ceremony was PERFECT. Everything went so smoothly. She set everything up exactly how we wanted. Of course we had a few hiccups come up and she was on top of it before I could even say anything. The day before the wedding we brought our dog to a friend to watch him for the wedding. Our heads were so all over the place and trying to scramble last minute things that we forgot a couple things to bring with him. Jennifer without hesitation came to our house, picked up his things and brought it to the dog sitter! That was just so amazing and definitely something way beyond the extra mile that we appreciated so much. We also had an issue with our venue where they were claiming we could no longer take photos before the ceremony which again made our heads spin. We called Jennifer and within a couple hours it was resolved and we were all good to take photos beforehand. The limo company who was providing us a shuttle bus from the venue to our after party last minute claimed they did not have any buses available. Well long story short Jennifer made some phone calls and sure enough there was a shuttle bus waiting for us to take us all over to the after party. There was also a huge issue with my suit for the wedding. I went to a "custom suit" company who gave me a suit with crooked seams and pants with no liner so the pants were completely see through. I couldn't wear these so I had to improvise and scramble 2 days beforehand to find another pair. Luckily I found a pair of pants in my closet that worked out but she was ready to go to Macy's at 7am to find me a pair of pants. To this day 7 weeks later, Jennifer is still in contact and fighting with the company who sold me the suit trying to get any kind of reimbursement. I truly believe Jennifer is doing her job from the kindness of her heart and not for the money. I would pay 3x the price for what she did for us. We got SO many compliments from people at the wedding of how amazing everything was and we really couldn't have done it without her. I am pointing out the hiccups because no one would even know about them because of her. Without her I think things would have gone a lot differently. I HIGHLY recommend Jennifer with Worth a Shot Events. Trust me, it is so worth it. You won't regret it. read more

This is our 3rd time using this company and I cannot say enough about the level of service Worth a Shot provides! This last party, after setting up outside, it began to rain. Within seconds the wait staff moved all the food inside and setup beautifully- without skipping a beat. When the sun came out again (!) within seconds the food was setup outside and the staff even took the time to sweep away the water that had pooled up! Her staff was amazing, they took care of everything which took the stress and pressure off of me. They did all the set-up and clean-up, this was a huge win in my opinion. She even went above and beyond to stay within my budget by taking the time to look for cheaper items that still met the theme expectations, she offered discounts, found cheaper rentals, & even made the exception to offer a payment plan. Not only did she go above and beyond to stay within my budget but she managed to get the job done despite the time constraints of only having a month and half to plan and order items in time for my date. Her event planning started from the moment I picked up the phone and booked her! She didn't waste any time, she is extremely driven! In the planning stages she asked all the right questions & made expertise suggestions to make sure my day was special and personalized to my liking. Her prices are reasonable and most importantly if you have a budget she'll work with you and get the job done. Overall it was an amazing experience, I will certainly use them again! read more

Jen, Kim and the entire team at Worth A Shot Events made our son's Christening event extra special. The team worked so hard to make the party such a success. It was a backyard event, and last minute the weather forecast called for heavy winds and rain. Jen and Kim made us feel very comfortable as they came through with and executed a rain plan. Our guests were not inconvenienced at all by the weather and we couldn't be more grateful for the team coming through. We have worked with Jen and Kim for multiple events now, and whether it's a big party like our son's christening or a smaller BBQ they always make the event amazing! read more
