When I'm walking on the Upper West Side of New York City, I snicker when I see folks wearing Brooks Brothers because I know they paid full price. I hate paying full price! I found a shirt that is molto sexy marked down to almost nothing. When I go to ring it up my purchase, there is additional discount for military?? This particular store only carries the 1818 style of suits, but only the Madison and Fitzgerald are offered here. The Madison is a full-cut suit. This means that if you're chubby, you can hide your chub, but if you're slim or have an athletic build, then you'll be hiding your sexy in this suit. The Fitzgerald is a little slimmer but still not in trend. While the store does offer some cuts with shorter length jackets, it's not available in all chest sizes. And both the Madison and Fitzgerald and single-vent suits. So if you're a double vent fan, then you'll need to search elsewhere. Do take advantage of clearance sales on Golden Fleece knits and dress shirts. The dress shirts come in a variety of cuts, collars, and cuffs. My preference is the slim fit, spread collar, french cuff dress shirt also known as the Ainsley. You'll find it at this store but never at the outlet. Since this is a premium store, customer service will generally be pleasant. Timeless...

A quick call from the hotel boutique confirmed they had what I needed and a short while later, I was greeted by Kieffer Parker, who I assume is the owner. He ushered me right in, produced a large box of "hardware" to choose from and within 5 minutes I was properly cuffed and buttoned and on my way to the wedding ceremony. While I know these are not high value items, he would not take any money and was just happy to know he saved the day for me. This northerner was the recipient of some serious southern hospitality.
