I am not sure, but my point was i encountered rude employees both in highland and foothill. I am not coming back!

I didn't have the best experience at this particular studio recently. I did a free weeklong trial at CorePower to try out all their studio spaces. I had great experiences at Trolley Square and Highland, but my experience at Foothill didn't leave me wanting to come back to this location. It was my first time here, and it was insanely busy. They have multiple classes happening at a time, and there are so many people in each class. I did a Yoga Sculpt class, but because it was so busy in the studio, the people at the front desk didn't have much time to give me a tour or show me some of the nuances of the studio space - where towels are, how many weights are needed, etc. The class itself was great and challenging, but the instructor didn't have a mic. I'm not sure if that was personal preference, but it was difficult to hear her cues and instructions without a mic in a big space. As others have mentioned, the rooms are packed like sardines, which can be difficult in a hot yoga class, especially a class like Yoga Sculpt where there is a lot of sweating and moving around. The space itself also felt a little cramped when everyone was exiting the class, trying to get their personal items, put shoes on, etc.

I used a groupon to get reacquainted with pilates after years, and by FAR Erica is THE BEST…read moreinstructor I've ever had. My first class was tough, and she explained it was going to be hard, but "it will be easier the next time." Since I've done pilates in the past, I knew she was right. BTW Im waaay out of shape-it's NOT EASY your first time! I came back after the first time with Erica, and my second class ROCKED! I feel like in 2-3 more classes I'll be on my way to doing full core stuff again. I think Erica is unique, she offers something different, because she's a totally cool person& shes confident in a relatable self depreciated way. She sucked once she's been here, it's hard, you'll get it...blah blah.. all you just want to do is hang out with her and talk smack, but you're doing pilates, so you just do that and you kill two birds! Try to get into her class-shes so funny, she's seriously an expert on UFOS no sh**& -love her! I'll be back! She is so great at guiding you through her visualization techniques that you'll peacefully transcend to another world (maybe it's her intention) but I never have experienced that before in any yoga/pilates/etc. She's good at her craft P.s. kinda of bugs me that a person who left her - 1 , didn't this give this studio another chance. Or just take your review down for godsakes, I came in bare feet today, but I realized quickly, the reasons why I should be wearing some socks to keep the equipment un-nasty !

Almost immediately she seemed to have an attitude toward me? Also she was always on her iPhone during our classes ! I actually started having a hard time getting into the positions that she would always raddle off as if we were in an advanced class "WE WERE BEGINNERS"!!!! I ended up having a torn meniscus which was why I was having trouble, she was cold and extremely unfriendly so we stopped going and didn't care that our package had one last session

The Vibe: Release…read more Anna walked over while I was taking photos of the studio. She smiled. Welcomed me in. Checked me in. Showed me around. Good start. By the time everyone settled onto their mats, Anna asked: "Is there anything you'd like to focus on today?" One yogi answered without hesitation. "Release." The whole room smiled. Same. One collective Om. A few Sun Salutations. Then we were off. The Guide: Anna Murray * Express 45 Anna guided us through a few Sun Salutations before gradually stepping back and letting us move through several on our own. There was no stopping. One posture became the next. One breath became the next. Before I knew it... we were halfway through. Once the body was warm, the invitations began. Side Angle. Half Bind. Full Bind. Bird of Paradise. You could stay exactly where you were... or keep opening. The music carried everything forward. Beach House. Rhye. ODESZA. Gregory Alan Isakov. Then, almost unfairly... it was time to come down. Forty-five minutes. Gone. At the end of class, Anna invited us to bask in our wholeness, our worthiness, the steadiness of our being, and then encouraged us to carry that presence into the rest of our day. The Tribe After class, I lingered. Showered. Wandered back to the lobby. Started talking. Dance came up. Anna had danced with the Salt Lake City Ballet. Another yogi studied modern dance. Of course. That explained a few things. Yoga keeps introducing me to fascinating people. Different paths. Same practice. Same willingness to open. Space & Place This studio deserves its own section. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the Wasatch Mountains. Living artwork. During class, the mountains never leave your peripheral vision. They're a part of the practice. My favorite yoga room. By far. The Takeaway Halfway through class, I caught myself thinking: "I don't want this to end." Open. Present. Moving. Apparently...that's what release feels like. Field Note: We don't release to let go. We release to stay open. What you should know: Heat: Warm enough to open. Warm enough to sweat. Music: Beach House. Rhye. LCD Soundsystem. ODESZA. Gregory Alan Isakov. Class Style: Forty-five minutes. No wasted motion. Amenities: Gorgeous studio. Great showers. Good luck not taking photos. Great For: Busy people. Beautiful flow. Back to your day. More open.
