I thought it was my fault and that the slipcover wasn't washable so I didn't contact the company at that time. About 2 years later, I was looking for a chair to go in the room, and I showed the designer a picture of my room. She immediately commented that the slipcover looked too tight. I told her at that time that the slipcover shrunk after washing. After sending out people to look at the sectional, it was decided that they would split the cost of a new slipcover with me. However, the owner, Stacy, and the manufacturer would admit to no wrongdoing and would only say that the "new one shouldn't shrink." After spending over $25000 at their store, I wasn't prepared to pay any additional money to maybe rectify the situation. The most troubling aspect is that I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they didn't even have the decency or courtesy of responding or trying to work with me to resolve this problem. The designers and support staff are very helpful and supportive (with a great eye) which is the only reason that I gave the store 2 stars. Unfortunately, they and their customers are not supported by the owner. I have included pictures of the sectional with the tears that have occurred from trying to get the slipcover back on the sectional.

I called the business and talked to a young man. He offered no solution. No apology, no offer to come get them and no refund. He left with the thought that "someone" would call me. When that didn't happen, I called again. I was asked why I hadn't called before. Whomever I spoke to, he was to get back to me but did not. We moved last spring and gave the rugs to a neighbor rather than take dirty rugs into a new house. Before this incident I sent a set of three matching beautiful, valuable, sculpted floral rugs that were like new. One was appx, 5 x 8' . The other a runner appx. 2.5 x 8. The last a geometric rug appx, 3 ft. in diameter for an entrance. I had had them cleaned the year before and new lining added. I received a call that they were going to drop off the rugs. That never happened. I called to reschedule, and believe this or not, an older man couldn't tell me where my rugs were. When he couldn't locate them, he told me someone who worked there took them from the warehouse. I was shocked. I was in and out of the hospital. after this for five weeks. I called NS when I returned home. This time the man on the phone said the last person was wrong, and my rugs were indeed there. I was thrilled. An appointment for drop-off was made. I still owed the cost of the cleaning. On the appointed day, my husband was extremely ill and hospitalized for 2.5 months at the time of the brutal winter weather. I stayed downtown near the hospital. I didn't hear from Northside Carpet during that time though I had my cell phone with me and checked messages.. I sat down yesterday to shop online for replacement rugs in the same color scheme. I couldn't afford anything close to the quality of my original rugs. And finally got angry enough for a confrontation with Northside. Usually, I go out of my way to avoid confrontation. I became really angry. I decided to write a review and take legal action against Northside. I am just sick at heart at the loss of my set of beautiful rugs that perfectly match my decor. Though I bought them in the 90s, they were still like new, a testament to their quality. We are retired and underwent a difficult time when my husband was diagnosed with cancer and me with heart failure the same weekend. I imagine I sounded like a frail, old woman with no fight, and they took advantagae of that.

We were in search of a rug for our living room. The third generation owner, Jerome, was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We looked at a couple dozen rugs from Iran, Pakistan, India, China, and Afghanistan. We did this after Jerome explained how the rugs were made on the display loom. He was incredibly patient as we slowly eliminated rugs to a final two, and decided to buy both. We actually bought a small third at the very end. His selection is incredible. Color palette and sizes run the gamut. A few older carpets are available, and are priced accordingly. He carries mostly hand knotted and a few machine made. The prices were highly competitive and Jerome was excited to offer a good deal without being asked. We also brought in an antique hand loomed rug to see if he could repair a few fringed edges and clean it. He explained the repair process and showed us his impressive cleaning area, wringing machine, and drying rooms. His quote was a great deal and we hope to pick our rug up in a few weeks. You can tell by the number of large rugs in the back there for cleaning that he is reputable. We had a great experience. And, we highly recommend.
